Richmond - not rich in content unfortunately.
Advantages: Quite cheap. Look like sausages.
Disadvantages: A pitiful 42% pork content. Quite chewy. Far too much salt per sausage.
...When it comes to meat products I am a very fussy person. Only the best will do for me. But I have only been so concerned with what I eat in the last year or so, and it pains me to say it, but Richmond Sausages were the defining factor in this. Looking for a meaty accompaniment to my dinner one day I picked up a pack of Richmond Thick Irish Recipe Sausages for the what seemed a reasonable price of £2.19 for 8.
Concealed in their rather plain green and white packaging, you can see for yourself the sausages, and from the outside they do look like your standard banger. However, this is as far as the likeness goes. Once I had cooked them, they had shrunk to about half the original size of what they were (not a good start). Again, after being cooked for around 25 minutes, the outside looked perfectly normal; a crisp dark brown colour as I...

Richmond Capital of the Confederacy
Advantages: Cheap accommadation and food but of reasonable quality
Disadvantages: Everything shuts on a Sunday so if you are in a B&B make sure you stock up on grub
...During a holiday to America I travelled to Richmond, Virginia and had a thoroughly enjoyable three days in this culturally and architecturally rich city.
Getting there:
Road: It is about 2-2 ½ hours drive from Washington
By Amtrak: Very comfortable and cheap but does not exactly provide a central dropping off point
By Greyhound: Cheap way of travelling but again it drops you on the outskirts of the city
By Air: Richmond airport is only really an option if you intend to pick up a car there as it is 10-12 miles outside the city
Accommodation:
Virtually all the accommodation in this city is very reasonably priced as it has a university and has to cater for students for when they first arrive. One useful facility was a central reservation line that could be called to book rooms in the participating hotels in the scheme. If you do...

My favourite park!
Advantages: Lots of space and things to see and do
Disadvantages: None
...I have lived near Wythenshawe park all my life and it?s somewhere I have been many, many times. It is an ideal place for many things and for me it is great for walking the dogs in. I shall give a little bit of information of Wythenshawe park and my personal opinion on it.
The location:
Wythenshawe park is fairly big and located in Baguley. The park has the long and very busy, main road named Altrincham road on one side of it and the M56 motorway running past it on one side. The park is easily reached from various points and is not that far from Manchester airport either or other surrounding areas such as Altrincham, woodhouse park or even Manchester city centre itself.
How big is the park?
The park is fairly big and has plenty of space for people just wanting to relax in the sun, walk their dogs, have a game...

Best Western Richmond BC, near Vancouver Airport
Advantages: Loads! All round excellent hotel to stay in.
Disadvantages: Perhaps not for kids, not in ?touristy? part of town (which could be advantages to some of course?)
...This was an excellent hotel! It?s not the poshest I?ve stayed in terms of how it looks, but it has excellent facilities and is all round a great place to stay. They were chosen "Best Hotel in Richmond" as well as "Best Brunch" by Richmond News readers for 2003. I stayed there for just over a week in September 2003 while I attended a convention for the show Stargate SG-1. And I?ll be back again this summer! It?s also fairly convenient for Vancouver and the surrounding area if you?d rather not stay downtown.
Facilities include a shop with some lovely souvenirs, an Internet café, hair salon and an exercise room with saunas (and a washing machine which I only discovered after I?d lugged my bags several blocks to the local laundrette!). There is a pool and Jacuzzi in the courtyard but they are small. Reception can also fix you up...

Jurassic Park
Advantages: read opp
Disadvantages: read opp
...Ive always been a huge fan of the first Jurassic Park film, and always thought it could never be beaten in terms of its predecessors Jurassic Park 2 and 3. For me Jurassic Park signified what Steven Spielberg was always about, a brilliant director. Sure the story isn't an academy award criteria film, but the special effects, realism and guts to make a big blockbuster film certainly paid off. This review is on the 1993, sci -fi smash hit Jurassic Park, directed By Steven Spielberg.
Spielberg had always wanted to make Jurassic Park, and this was said many times in interviews with him. The origins of Jurassic Park go back to Michael Crichton, novel of the same name. Spielberg always thought of the books concept and idea as brilliant and wanted to bring it to the big screen.
The film was a huge box office success grossing well over $915...

Off to Duthie Park!
Advantages: lots to see, amenities, free, situation
Disadvantages: /
...Since moving to Aberdeen a few years ago, I have many times visited if not just passing through, the Duthie Park. It is a place all the locals have been to at least once, and is a strong attraction for visitors to Granite City! It is somewhere I would spend a lot of time during the holidays, wandering around with friends and generally having fun. I suppose I should feel so lucky to have such a wonder right on my door step!
The Duthie Park is situated just off of Garthdee in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. Surrounding the park there are various main roads, with an Asda, a B&Q, and a ski slope near by, not forgetting the university campus too. It's also around ten minutes from the centre of town too, so there are plenty surrounding the beautiful park should you want to wander!
As I said, there are main roads all round Duthie Park so it...

Williamson PArk - the park on a hill
Advantages: Beautiful surroundings and free entry
Disadvantages: A bit hilly
...I would guarantee that lots of you reading this who have not heard of Williamson Park, will indeed have seen the most prominent building in it - if you have travelled on the M6 near to Lancaster.
Williamson Park is a beautiful public park located on a hill above the city of Lancaster, Lancashire that consists of 54 acres of beautiful parkland.
The pre-mentioned building in the park, and one that dominates Lancaster for miles around, is the Ashton Memorial ( or as it is known locally - the'Taj Mahal of the North'! ) - a huge domed, folly built in the 1900s by James Williamson (Lord Ashton) as a tribute to his late wife
THE PARK
Lancaster's Williamson Park was built and opened in 1878.by millionaire James Williamson.( Lord Ashton) who became a millionaire producing oil cloth and linoleum which was exported from...

Park and Ride
Advantages: excellent variety of things to do, good graphics
Disadvantages: small screen size makes it difficult to play
...I loved the Theme Park game on my PC, so when I saw that it was available for the DS, I jumped at the opportunity of purchasing it. For those unfamiliar with the format of the 'Theme' games, they are basically simulation games where you have to make as much money as you can!]
In theme park world, this involves starting a theme park from scratch and building it as you like - designing the format. You also have to hire scientists and spend money on research and, every now and again (depending on your investment levels) they will come up with a new idea for a ride/shop/restaurant for your park. You have to correctly judge what your crowd will like/dislike and how much they will be willing to pay to gain entry to your park. There are other aspects that you need to manage - workers will strike over pay, stock levels for the restaurants...

Park Life!
Advantages: reasonable priced, rides located near to each other, good disabled access
Disadvantages: Long queues, rides sometimes break down
...GETTING THERE
In 2006 I visited Thorpe Park a grand total of 3 times. I live in Dover, Kent and it took us 90minutes to get there. Thorpe Park is well sign posted from the M25 onwards so finding the park is relatively easy. Thorpe Park is situated between junctions 11 and 13 of the M25 but access from Junction 12 is not possible from the M25.
TICKET PRICES
We paid £28.50 each for an adult entrance ticket to the park. If you book online you can make a saving of £5.50. Thorpe Park gives you the option of getting something called a Fast Track ticket, which basically means that you get to jump the queue on the main rides. You will be allocated with a ticket and they tell you a time to arrive for each ride. You turn up at the given time and use the 'fast track' queue and you literally get on the ride in 5 minutes. For this...

Queue Park
Advantages: Good Rides, Everything Close Together, Family Day Out
Disadvantages: Long Queues, No Shade, Expensive
...I have been to Thorpe Park on a number of occasions over the last few years. The university I went to was about a 15 minute drive away from the park, so it was one of the places we went to at least once a year. I?ve always had a good overall time there, though when I visited last weekend there were a few downsides to the park that somewhat let down our visit. Although some of these factors are things that are not necessarily in the park management?s control, I personally felt that there should be more measures in place to combat this type of thing. Anyway, let me explain.
Last weekend, me and three friends of mine decided to head over to Thorpe Park. We had decided a couple of weeks in advance to go, as I had received some 2-for-1 ticket vouchers in the post recently, so we picked a Sunday and crossed our fingers for sun. As we woke...
