A Low Cost Ricoh Printer
Advantages: Price and Speed
Disadvantages: Support Documentations
.... The toner capacity is not very high and hence the price of the consumables is on the higher side.
The printer does not do too well in the reliability department. The 'Reliability and Service Survey' gives it's a reliability rating of average. SP C222DN works well for small groups and offices. However the inadequate installation documentations limit its popularity. The design elements are also not up to the mark. Users may find a better printer than this one in the same price range!
Ricoh Aficio's SP C222DN color laser printer is cheaper than many of its contemporaries. The printer has good speed and also comes with a one year warranty period. Twenty four hour customer service is available for this printer; throughout the year. The printer is easy to maintain and its running cost is low.
This should be my last review before christmas...

Learning with Ricoh
Advantages: Economic when bought, great intro to SLR
Disadvantages: Outdated now
...for constant battery charging and replacing that make digitals annoying when you spot something that demands a photograph right away.
I've used all kinds of 35mm film in the Ricoh and have a preference for bulk Ektachrome, rolled on in small quantities.
Producing one's own slides from such film in a little developing tank, gives an insight to the photographic process that is a learning curve all of its own.
The camera is heavy by modern standards - but just convince yourself that weight is quality in this type of situation.!
It has the usual facility for tripods, and flash, and all the range of colour and special effects filters.
This is the system that allows for real creativity - not just standard digital alteration.
I use the digital snappers very happily - see review on FujiPix 610 - but that Ricoh was photography as real art.!...

Didn't Ricoh used to manage Arsenal?
Advantages: stunning pictue quality, large memory capacity, easy to use, anti-vibration feature
Disadvantages: price, look and availability
...The first thing many readers will think when looking at this review is "oh my god" how ugly is that camera?", and possibly as a secondary thought, "who the hell are Ricoh, didn't he once manage Arsenal?". The answers to these questions are so obviously yes, it is a ugly mother of a camera and no, that was Bruce Rioch, but I stray from the subject matter so on with my thoughts on the camera.
Cost & Availability:
I will admit here, I don't own the Ricoh Caplio R6, but I have used it regularly now for over 4 months both larking around and while giving serious demonstrations to the potential buyers. More often than not the price is a big turn off with most customers. We are an independent electrical retailer and we have this item tagged at £279.99 in our shop but this does include a 2GB memory card.
The cheapest I have seen this...

MP4 which is POOR
Advantages: The sound is pretty good
Disadvantages: The device is poor in every other area
...This review is for the Vega 4 GB MP4 player.
Setup
The setup for this device can be complicated. You are given the device in a box but you have to install the disc. The disc is quite tiny and it took me several attempts to actually get the disc to load up in the first place.
Once the disc is loaded up you are then given this small application which you need to use to transfer your files over with. The problem is the application tends to lock up on you half way through the process of you actually sending the files over.
The best route for you to get the files transferred over is by opening up the driver folder which you will find when you plug the device into the computer and copy and paste the files over this way. It does take a lot longer and can be frustrating but it is the only way for the files to be sent over...

Knowing How to Burn Successfully
Advantages: The Just Link technology helps much in burning CDs.
Disadvantages: I haven't found it, yet.
...the first investment to have our data transferred onto a CD is more expensive (if it is being compared with investment on having a floppy drive and or the others), I am sure it is still advantageous. The price per megabyte of the data space of each device should be one of our main considerations.
My Ricoh MP7200A
It is an ATAPI Internal model CD RW drive with the following specifications: 20x10x40x. Personally I have used it for about 1 year, and I think it is a tough and nice one. This CD RW drive is packed with Nero Burning ROM 5.0, and it cost me about Rp 1,500,000 (about GBP 100) and todays? price is about Rp 1,200,000 (about GBP 80).
It works well with most personal computers nowadays. However, I think I should inform you the system requirements based on its manufacturer?s recommendation. (1) The central processing unit...

review of hercules mp3 djay control
Advantages: easy to install and understand, very cheap, good features very small and portable
Disadvantages: No headphone jack, space slightly cramped with buttons, requires seperate sound card for cueing
...supplied with the virtual dj software which basicaly works like your top end mp3 mixing softwares such as final scratch by stanton. on screen you see two turntables where you can load up a song on each, there is a virtual mixer on screen allowing you to fade between tracks like the real thing, the software can be used on its own and when you hook up the unit you get a more realistic hands on dj feel. The company claim that it can be used to perform mixing and scratching like the real thing but i personally found the jog wheels being very small and hard to keep track of what your doing and also the cross fader being very close in proximity means you are likely to knock it as you move the wheels making tight cuts very difficult although i found there to be little or no latency between the movement of the wheel and the representation of that in...

Writes CDs but not DVDs.
Advantages: Burns the CDs effortlessly and no coasters
Disadvantages: Not a DVD recorder
...a CD that goes wrong during the burn process for those that dont know.
Ok, for watching DVD's Ricoh have packaged up Cinemaster software. Once it is installed and you have it working it is great with loads of functionality. However, it does take some matering and there is limited instructions on how to use it. Poor show.
Performance.
Brillo! I have not had any problems with it and it truly is a great drive. Ok, its not the quickest drive on the market but it is flexible by including both CD and DVD capability. Watching movies and listening to music is great and its spick up speed and responsiveness are excellent.
No coasters on the burn are a credit to both software and the hardware. it must be a very stable device that requires minimum resources. Outside interference from running applications also do not phase this device and will...

Canon Pixma MP600
Advantages: High quality printing, quiet and looks good
Disadvantages: Expensive ink, as always
...ugly in an industrial way but that was a popular style a few years back. It produced pretty good document and photo prints and the scanner was adequate for documents but not of a standard to copy photos. When coming to choose a new printer these were the characteristics I was interested in. It had to print to a high standard, the scanner needed to be better and I didn't want it to look like an ugly lump of corporate kit with attachments falling off all the time. Despite painfully setting up the fax functionality first time round I have never received or sent a fax using the HP, in fact I don't think I've faxed anything this century so that functionality was dispensable.
At a snifter under £100 the Canon Pixma MP600 packs a lot of quality into an attractively designed package. Ignoring any pointless fax functionality it concentrates...

Ricoh Caplio RR30
Advantages: superb macro and virtually no shutter lag
Disadvantages: None
...with 6 scene modes for beginners to choose from so you can get good shots from the start. The scenes are portrait, sports, landscape, nightscapes, text, high sensitivity. Or lots of options within the menus to set manual options.
The Macro focus distance of 1cm is supurb in itself but using the macro facility also brings out the best clarity, colour balance and range of all.
And this camera has the smallest shutter lag of all digital compact cameras. You know the time lag between pressing the shutter and the picture being taken. Well on this camera it is almost instant 0.22 of a second.
All criteria ratings are given against my use /knowledge of other 3 MP digital compact cameras....
