...I loved the Theme Park game on my PC, so when I saw that it was available for the DS, I jumped at the opportunity of purchasing it. For those unfamiliar with the format of the 'Theme' games, they are basically simulation games where you have to make as much money as you can!] In theme park world, this involves starting a theme park from scratch and building it as you like - designing the format. You also have to hire scientists and spend money on research and, every now and again (depending on your investment levels) they will come up with a new idea for a ride/shop/restaurant for your park. You have to correctly judge what your crowd will like/dislike and how much they will be willing to pay to gain entry to your park. There are other aspects that you need to manage - workers will strike over pay, stock levels for the restaurants...

...Theme Park for the DS is a game where you can build and run your very own theme park, you manage money, rides, advertisement and also researching new rides and surroundings with the main goal of making a profit and making your customers happy to do so. This game was first released for the snes and other platforms around 1994 but now its been re released with its same great charms for the Nintendo DS. This is a great game with lots of hours of game play in it. After you have built a successful park if you can move on and create another one in another country and the game gets harder as it progesses. It can get very repetitive when you start a new game over and over as rides are the same mostly in all countries when you develop in the game and it gets harder. Theme Park - Mega Drive

Advantages: Create your own theme park man!!
Disadvantages: Can be a little hard at times and a little repititive

...This game was originally released in 1994 and is a construction and management simulation type game. Now on the sounds of that, it doesnt particularly sound like kids would go out and buy it different, original and innovative and has lasted to this day with different version, sequels and updates on all different platforms. The aim of the game is to build a successful theme park, something that every teenager says when walking round Chessington or Thorpe Park, 'Id have that roller coaster higher' or 'I think there should be more water there' - anything to impress the girls hey! Well this was a chance for kids to still be kids but have control over something they enjoyed. Review of Theme Park (Mega Drive)

Fun Park, Not Theme Park

Advantages: No entrance fee, indoor and outdoor activities, lots of choice
Disadvantages: Expensive. Expensive. Did I mention it can be expensive?!

....00 pm. The website gives clear opening hours and is worth checking out before you visit. The indoor attractions are open all year round and there are adult entertainment evenings held here too. My Thoughts So would I recommend it? Yes, I would - but don't be expecting the thrills you get at a major theme park. However I like how I can just turn up and either get my daughter a wristband or pay per ride for her and don't have to get annoyed at paying an entrance fee for rides I won't be going on. Queues tend to be fairly reasonable - my suggestion would be to turn up early to avoid the really big crowds however. My daughter had to wait no longer than 10 minutes to get on the rides she was interested in which was fine. Obviously, the more popular the ride, the longer the queue. The food here is pretty awful however - both the Bizarre Bar...

Theme Park is a classic

Advantages: Just like the original and totally addictive

...I've always been a big fan of the simulation games so when I got my DS I was having a look around for games to buy. I was delighted when I found Theme Park as I always loved this game when playing it on the PC when I was younger. You have to design your own park with rides, shops and features whilst keeping your visitors happy. Employing staff and servicing rides is also a key feature. It is very easy to play on the DS as you use the pen to place items that you need. I was a little disappointed that there are no challenges or objectives to complete as with the newer Theme Park INC on the PC, which I had just completed when buying this game. However, Theme Park on the DS is the total classic version and is brilliant. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves Theme Park or to anyone who has never played it before but loves simulation...

PortAventura Theme Park

Advantages: Wonderful fun in the sun

...a 10 minutes bus ride from the centre of Salou and the buses are very regular and cheap, although I think it is a competition with the bus drivers to see how many people they can fit onto their buses! The theme park is set out into 5 different areas - Mediterranian, Polyenesia, China, Mexico and the Far West. Each area is very well themed and you do almost believe you are in the specific country. The rides are amazing, I have always been pretty scared of roller coasters and white knuckle rides, but by the end of each visit to the theme park I became more and more addicted. The kids too were on top of the world. Another thing not to miss are the many shows. They were very very professional and not to be missed. I liked the Polyenisian one, this was made up of a group of Hawian ladies singing and dancing to Hawian music...

...small park that will get the customers flowing in. you can change the ticket prices that the customers have to pay, but be careful if you put these to high then people wont enter your park. It is quite simple to build on the parks just a few little buttons and selections to make and you can place it wherever you want, providing it's actually in the park. As well as rides you can build food and drink stored as well as other little games etc. these all help to make the theme park more like, well a theme park.
