I Certainly Loved This Angel

Disadvantages: More out of the way than the South Rim

...***Background*** The North Rim of the Grand Canyon isn't as easy to get to as the South but if you get a chance then it's really worth the effort. We really wanted to go and see this wonder but I'll start by saying that no amount of descriptive writing or photographs can prepare you for such a magnificent and unbelievable sight. They can of course give you an idea but the sheer vastness and beauty of rising towers of differently coloured rock covered by the lush green of trees is something that has to be seen in person to be completely appreciated. For those that just think the Grand Canyon is a wide-open space with the Colorado River running through it, they should go and take a look to find that it is so much more. Duck under the rim!

Advantages: Kills germs & helps remove limescale if left on long enough.
Disadvantages: Scrubbing action still required!

CONTACTABLE 24/7...............GREAT!!!

Advantages: Plenty of features, sending and receive e-mails, SMS, address book, calendar, web browsing.....
Disadvantages: QWERTY keyboard keys are tiny and it looks a bit naff, poor range of ring tones.......

Blackberry 7290

Advantages: economical (second hand), reliable, robust, easy to use
Disadvantages: If you need a camera - then look elsewhere

I noted with some delight whilst in Canada early last year (the home of Blackberry devices - made by RIM) that the 7290 seems to still be quite favoured amongst corporate types, students, government workers and quite a few private users. Advantages: Towers of rock springing up give fantastic views.
Disadvantages: Very busy - not as peaceful and natural as the North Rim.

...***Background*** We had explored the North Rim of the Canyon the previous day and ended up staying in Page for the night, and having a quick look at Lake Powell before making our way down Route 89 towards Cameron and on to the South Rim area. This area is split into two main sections of Desert View and the Grand Canyon Village where it is busiest with accommodation being available and many trail paths starting. The distance across the canyon averages at around 10 miles but travelling from North Rim to South Rim is a slightly longer trip, as we found out driving the 215-mile journey. Seek the North Rim

Advantages: spectacular, quiet, not touristy or tacky
Disadvantages: none

...How many tourist attraction have you gone to, lured by the pictures of serenity and beauty, only to arrive to huge crowds of annoying people? The popular South Rim of the Grand Canyon gets 90% of all the visitors, and the famous sunsets are 6 deep in observers.Lots of cameras going off, lots of tacky souveniers for sale, very commercial, polluted, and crowded. The North Rim, the higher of the two rims and positioned better for watching sunsets, gets 10% of the visitors and is never crowded. You can always find a vantage point where you can be alone with yourself or your partner/family, and you can walk the trails without having to frequently squeeze by people or look at their litter. NO MORE RIM'S AROUND THE WORLD

Advantages: means people with astigmatism can wear contacts.
