Advantages: some good acting, OK story, great music
Disadvantages: Nothing new from John Wayne

The Blue Mountains
Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: nothing
...This next review is on my time on The Blue Mountains National Park, located in Sydney Australia. A few friends and I had decided to hire a van and take a tour of the national park, as we had been recommended it by several people we had met along the way. I am usually a fan of national parks; it gives you a chance to take in the scenic view, it gives you a chance to relax and unwind if you have had a busy week, and you even get to see some wildlife. It?s a great experience, which allows you to camp overnight, whilst also have a magnificent driving experience.
History & Park Info:
The park covers 267,954 hectares, which included several mountains and rivers along the trek. The highest point of the park is Mount Werong (1,215 m), and there are some breathtaking views from the top. The area became a national park in 1932, and ever since...

Find Redemption in Rio
Advantages: Breathtaking views over a sprawling, stunning city.
Disadvantages: Can be very crowded.
...At risk of expounding a horrible cliché, Rio de Janeiro is very much a city of vivid contradictions - sharp cleavages between rich and poor, favelas and gated compounds, hectic city life and remarkable natural beauty, all mixed-up and poured out across the myriad bays and hillsides of this corner of south-east Brazil. Perhaps this close intermingling of the many facets of Rio life create its very individual brand of chaotic, visceral charm - however, when in the midst of the city, it can be hard to get a bit of perspective. Of course, the famed beaches offer some respite from the manic pace of the streets, but the best way to step back from the city and appreciate the scale and beauty that one loses sight of from close-range is to go upwards.
Corcovado, at some 700-odd metres, is one of the taller peaks around and amongst which Rio...

'Welcome to Rio' says Christ the Redeemer
Advantages: One of the iconic 'must see' sights in the World
Disadvantages: A long way from UK
...Corcovado
The famous iconic statue of Christ the redeemer blessing the city of Rio with his open arms is about 30 metres high and is on the top of the Corcovado Hill which is about 700metres high so it can be seen from many parts of Rio on a clear day. Once you are up on the Corcovado hill standing under the statue you have the most wonderful 360° view of the city of Rio de Janeiro provided there are no clouds hovering over the statue.
The statue was designed by the Brazilian artist Heitor da Silva Costa alongside the French sculptor Paul Landowski. The statue was built between the years 1926 to 1931 from donated funds. Mr da Silva Costa was the engineer overseeing the construction and the French sculpture concentrated on carving the face and hands of the statue.
We were quite concerned the day we went to visit the famous monument as...

Her name is Rio
Advantages: Cheap, reliable, comfy
Disadvantages: Name, quality
...also available in the atrocious gold colour shown by Ciao, red and blue. The new Rio is also available in black, white and urban grey. The interior of the car is all grey, with many different shades.
When I bought my Rio there was a CD player already fitted, this was a Sony and was very good, but unfortunately it wouldn't play my mp3 CD's. My parents had bought me a CD player to go in the Volvo but it didn't fit, so this was ideal, unfortunately when we installed it two of the wires needed to be changed over so that it would remember the settings. I still haven't got around to sorting this problem out but it would be very simple, Vauxhalls also experience this problem. My boyfriend has the CD player from this car in his Vauxhall Vectra and it remembers all the settings.
My Rio also has electric front windows, I think the LS has all...

Blame it on Rio
Advantages: Spectacular, exciting and perfect for budget travellers.
Disadvantages: Is that a knife in your pocket or are you just trying to rob me?
...Rio De Janeiro ranks amongst the most exotic cities in the world. It's nature attractions are world famous and its people legendary for their party tendencies. Despite being a budget friendly city it also has appeal for those on a 5 star expense account. Like most Brazilian cities it has many problems, its ghettos are to be avoided and the city's gun culture gets worse by the day.
Rio has a population of 7 million but you might be surprised to know that its cousin Sao Paulo just down the road has an enormous populace of 17 million. The city is split between the Zona Norte, the industrial and poorest area, and the Zona Sul, the playground of the wealthy. The city's most famous suburb is Cuidad De Copacabana that occupies a narrow stretch of land between the coast and the jungle. Between Copacabana
and Ipanema you'll find the city...

Out of the Blue
Advantages: Striking, affecting combinations of music and visuals, strong central performance.
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little too blue.
..."Now I have only one thing left to do: nothing. I don't want any belongings, any memories. No friends, no love. Those are all traps."
This is the resolution of Julie Vignon (Juliette Binoche), the central character of Three Colours: Blue. The survivor of a car crash which took the lives of her husband Patrice, a celebrated composer, and her young daughter, she desires nothing but to withdraw from life, cutting all ties and bonds that formerly surrounded her.
The creation of a Franco-Polish collaboration, and the last project of acclaimed director Krzysztof Kieslowski, the Three Colours trilogy (Blue being the first, White the second and Red the third) takes as its focus the three foundations of the French state; Liberté, égalité et fraternité. Reflecting also the French tricolore, Blue deals with an interpretation of Liberty...

Icy Blue
Advantages: Moisturises, softens, smells nice
Disadvantages: some people may dislike the minty aroma
....
There are lots and lots of different products available in Lush stores or online, so you are sure to find a product which suits you. If you are unfamiliar with the sort of products Lush sell then I would advise having a look online as they sell solid and liquid shampoos, bath bombs, bubble bars, etc. Some of the Lush products however aren't available to buy in store; you have to buy these particular products online from the Lush website. The products which are solely only sold online at Lush are called Lush retro products and there are quite a few of them to choose from, some of my most favourite Lush products are from the Retro range

Feeling Blue
Advantages: Beautifully made, very emotional
Disadvantages: Not for those looking for action
...I have to admit I am a lover of French films, but also a lover of films that concentrate on people, relationships and feelings rather than action and excitement. Three Colours Blue fits the bill for me perfectly. The first part of a trilogy - the second being Three Colours White and the third Three Colours Red - it is French but is directed by Krysztof Kieslowski of Poland. I watched all three films several years ago but Blue was the one that appealed most to me, so I eventually decided to buy the DVD.
As the event happens at the outset of the film, I am not giving anything away by telling you that Julie's husband and only child, a daughter, are both killed in a car accident. Julie (Juliette Binoche) was in the car too but survives, and during the initial episode of the film we see her in hospital. She has to watch the funeral...
