...Whenever I see a box of Ritz crackers I think of Christmas, when we were children that was the only time of year that the bright red box was brought in through the front door. Mum used to hand them out as though they were precious gems and the contents of the box lasted the family all over the festive period! How times have changed, now I would buy a box of Ritz crackers any day of the week without feeling guilty and sit and eat far too many feeling really guilty! This all goes to show just how spoilt we are today, as the great depression took hold in America during the 1930s everyone yearned for something good and tasty. Most readily accepted that cakes and cookies were too much to hope for but were over the moon when the National biscuit company introduced the Ritz cracker to the market. ...Ritz are an extremely good snack to have if you are almost full up and just want something to finish off the hunger. I have been eating these for many years - both the cheese and original flavour. They are made from wheat (so obviously if you are allergic, dont touch this stuff). And if you are allergic to putting on weight, then stay away because when you eat them you will want to have some more because they taste so nice! The packaging is ever so simple. It is simply a cardboard box that is coloured either red or yello (pending on if its salted or cheese flavour that you are buying) On this box is a circle, with a ritz in the centre. Pudding On The Ritz

Advantages: Local, cheap, sweet, full of character
Disadvantages: Long queues on bargain nights

Advantages: Full service 5 star hotel. Good price point. Excellent service and luxury. Butler service.
Disadvantages: No asian influence. More bar/restaurant choice elsewhere.

...I'm fending for myself today. As we speak, Mrs P is street-walking in Edinburgh...hmm, maybe I should re-phrase that. Mrs P is wandering around that fine city's boulevards, winding closes and shopping malls in search of someone to relieve her of the burden of carrying cash around. It's a safe bet that she'll find someone who'll do just that. So, I've had to cope with making my own brekkie today. And what better way to start the day than with a good, wholesome handful of nutritious, wheat-based foodstuff. Yes...it's RITZ crackers for me. Now you may think this is a strange choice of breakfasting sustenance, I don't. Think of it this way. ...My boyfriend had booked us a night in the Ritz as my 21st birthday present. As soon as i found out we were staying here, i was telling everyone who came into my sight. On arriving at the hotel there was a note on the front door to tell everyone to use the side door as the front door was not working.....nice! --Location-- The Ritz isnt a hotel you can really miss, you can see the signs glowing for (almost) a mile. Being a 5 minute walk from Picadilly Circus theres not really many places you cant get to from here! The hotel is next to Green Park, walk through the park and you are at Buckingham Palace. Houses of Paliment and the London Eye are both within walking distance (1-2 miles). LHR is around 30miles from the hotel, about an hours drive (if your lucky). --Check In and Staff-- As soon as we started walking up the stairs...

...Well can you tell that I am in the Christmas Spirit with all these snacky things I have bought today, 20 bags full of shopping later and £100 lighter, what I have really bought! One of the other snacky things I have bought is Ritz original Crackers. Now you can buy the Cheese ones which in a yellow box but the original ones are in the red box. The packaging = Square box with a red background with a big blue circle on the front and Ritz written in 3 inch high yellow lettering. Underneath it has in black, the original snack cracker which is something I have learnt as I always they were Ritz biscuits. There is pictures that are actually life size pictures of crackers, some whole and some broken. On the side of the packets are customer service details and also ingredient and nutritional values. ...Ritz the original snack cracker as it says on the box. Well its seems like I've known these all my life, I remember has a youngster, the only time my dad ever took us shopping was at Christmas time, for our yearly Big shop, lol, this was when I was first introduced to Ritz crackers and have never looked back since. They are a nice biscuit size golden salt-topped snack, with a smooth but bumpy surface and seven little holes, the edge is cut in a ruffled/frill pattern, and some how, when you pop one of these into your mouth, it all adds to the pleasure. The underside of the cracker is a rougher ridged surface. A touch smooth with a bit of rough, what a combination. Each cracker has a crunch when you bite it, but then just melts in your mouth. Very nice on their own, but delicious with a small slice of cheese, or a spreading...
