Timeless fragrance from Yves Saint Laurent

Disadvantages: Day rather than evening perfume

The price Compared to other designer perfumes, it is relatively cheap. Around £32 for a medium-sized eau de toilette . On the internet, on sites like Amazon and eBay, much cheaper. Around £11.00 Why I Wear It Over the years I have tried many scents but I always come back to Rive Gauche, especially in the summer. as a young studnet in 1977, I thought it the ultimate in chic. It still smells great, although for evening wear I would probably switch to YSL's other classic, Opium. But that's another story....

Just One Spray

...Rive Gauche is a very strong perfume and definitely one for the evening. It is by Yves Saint Laurent and is very popular, many people I know wear it. Even after YSL bringing out many new perfumes none seem to beat this one. I have tested out some of the recent ones but still do not like any of them as much as this. Thi perfume could be worn in day but I think it is for night. It comes in different measures but I have the 50ml bottle which is around £26+ I am not too sure. The smell is hard to describe, I would probably describe it as flowery but very strong. You do not need to wear lots of this fragrance so one spritz would be enough. This stays on very well so you do not need a lot on for this reason too. One thing I love about the perfume is the packaging it is very posh and luxurious. Effortless Parisian Relaxation

...Despite living in France for a year, and visiting on numerous occasions I'd never actually been to Paris before. So for a first visit I really wanted the hotel to live up to the promise of the city - and the Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche certainly did that. Right from the welcome at reception we knew things would be relaxed here. The hotel cat, Sputnik, lounging on the reception desk summed up the feel. If anything my only gripe came at this point, and it was nothing to do with the cat (who was fantastic, though I do recognise not everyone would be so happy to see a moggy at reception), but rather that the receptionist spoke to us in English when I was speaking in French. my favourite

...I have been using rive gauche for more than 10 yrs and have tried others during that time but have never really found another that i loved as much, it's fragrance is sweet but not overpowering and i find it suits me and i am often told so, people say they love the smell and ask me what it is, then they go out and buy it too. So we can't all be wrong. I also find that certain fragrances can give me headaches too but i have never had one while wearing rive gauche, it also lasts ages. i do however believe that as we all smell differently anyhow it can smell different from one person to another but i would definately recommend it to anyone....

YSL Touche Eclat (radiant Touch)

...Yves Saint Laurent Elle is a fragrance which was released by YSL in October 2007; as well as the perfume you can also purchase other YSL Elle fragranced bath and beauty products which also help to layer and compliment the scent of the perfume. People who have dry skin and find that the perfume doesn't have particularly good staying power on them would benefit from using the complimentary shower gel and body lotion before applying the perfume as this would gave the scent a base to layer itself upon therefore increasing the longevity of the perfume fragrance. All peoples skin types are different and perfumes, body lotions, shower gels etc act differently on each individual because of the different oils in our skin. As you can see from the picture at the top of this review the bottle of YSL Elle is supplied in a tall think bright pink...

Yves Saint Laurent Pour Homme Concentrate Cologne **PURE CLASSY**

Advantages: Good Value and super classy smell, not too strong but will be noticeable.
Disadvantages: None for me ,although the bottle could be a little more elegant to match the smell.

...YSL Can you say Classy??? Well you better believe I can, although I?m sure it would sound more elegant in the French language. Yves Saint Laurent Pour Homme swept me completely off of my feet. I was in the department store with a close buddy who was looking for D&G cologne, when the ever so clever and informative sales lady persuaded us to take a closer look at YSL. The marketing of YSL was not as strong as the other brands at the counter so I didn?t notice this silent but venomous killer scent. One whiff and my perfume life would never be the same. The sweet and sexy smell seeped deep into my heart, and thank God not my pocket book. Good value for an exceptional and classy cologne. Its one of the perfumes you would wear on your wedding day, Yeah, that good....
