...The Secret River London 1806 - William Thornhill, happily wedded to his childhood sweetheart Sal, is a waterman on the River Thames. Life is tough but bearable until William makes a mistake, a bad mistake for which he and his family are made to pay dearly. His sentence: to be transported to New South Wales for the term of his natural life. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is the book of the month at our book club and is probably not a book I would have chosen for myself but is an extremely interesting portrail into life for people in that age and of the two countries. This story is basically in two parts, Will's London life and then his Australian life. The two are most definitely linked to each other but in terms of Will's and Sal's feelings and adventures they are worlds apart, or you could say continents apart. The story...

refreshing Reef

Advantages: fruity, easy to drink
Disadvantages: the colour, too easy to drink

...So what tipple do you think makes a Duskmaiden tipsy? Well actually I like a wide variety of alcoholic drinks depending on my mood. When I want something refreshing and fruity I often to\urn to Reef. Yes I know it is a teenyboppers drink but I do quite like it!! So when I was in Kwik Save doing a mini shop I was delighted to see a new flavour of Reef. Great I thought. Something noice to drink and something I can review fir Ciao (well I think that of any product from Rice Pudding to Washing Up Liquid!) Advantages: An okay vocal performance from John Rhys-Davies.
Disadvantages: An appalling waste of pixels.

...My sister bought me this DVD while she was in Thailand and when she gave it to me I was distinctly underwhelmed but given there was nothing on TV and she was hogging the PC, I decided to watch it while curled up in bed. Go on....have a reef.

Advantages: made with real fruit juices, great taste

...It really was only a matter of time before I wrote a review on my most favourite alcoholic drink going and considering I have consumed plenty of this stuff over the festive period it only deserves to be shouted about how wonderful it is - in my opinion. I like some bottled drinks like Smirnoff ice and WKD's just for example but they are all fizzy and make me feel all gassy and uncomfortable when on a night out. Especially if you are intending to have more than 'one or two'. So when I was on holiday last year I discovered Reef. They only stocked the red one and before the end of my holiday I was hooked on the stuff. I couldn't get enough of it. ...Although this is one of my favourite shops, i have to admit im not as much of a fan as what i used to be in my teens! At school i was nicknamed miss river island, as everything i wore was from there. Recently though, i find the collection of clothing a little more limited to certain styles than what it used to be. River Island caters for those who like to follow fashion whilst keeping their own twist on it so you can stand out from the crowd. They also have a very stylish menswear collection available. SIZES As i am petite, i love the fact that river island cater for the smaller girl with their range of trousers and jeans, the sizes range from a size 6 to an 18, and the leg lengths on trousers come in short, regular or long. This is ideal for many, but i recommend trying trousers on anyway as sometimes the lengths and waist sizes...
