They had regular television shows with both the BBC and ITV channels over a period of about twenty years. They had served their comedy apprenticeships over earlier years treading the boards at various theatres and in various variety shows. In common with many comedians in the 1960's they tried their hands at a couple of comedy films for the big screen and That Riviera Touch was one of these films. Eric had heart problems in middle age and died whilst performing on stage on 28th May 1984 at the age of 58. Ernie carried on his career in comedy with appearances on chat shows and quiz programmes but, as the straight man of the comedy duo, never quite succeeded after Eric's death. Cambodias Riviera

Advantages: Quiet, lets you de-stress
Disadvantages: Not much to do in bad weather, agressive touts

...This may sound quite strange but Sihanoukville ( also known as Konpong Som ) has been described as Cambodia?s? Riviera. Given the countrys? recent history this may sound a rather large stretch of the imagination. But..but..but, when you start to analyse it, it?s not too strange a comparison. They are both on the south coast of their respective countries, they are both home to the wealthy, rich, powerful and they are both beach areas. However, the differences are obviously too numerous to mention. This is quite a lengthy report but I hope that you get a lot out of it. At present, the tourism industry in Cambodia in general and Sihanoukville is still in the raw, rugged stage where the majority of travellers are the adventurous or independent. Chill Out Time In Tunisia

Advantages: Lovely hotel with great facilities
Disadvantages: Doesn't have it's own beach

...My boyfriend and I took a week long holiday to Port El Kantaoui in Tunisia in May 2008. The Occidental Allegro Riviera Hotel is a 4 star hotel. We mainly booked this holiday just to have a cheap, chilled out week in the sunshine. We also wanted a fairly short haul flight and we felt that Tunisia would be perfect for this. Travel Time from The UK We flew from London Gatwick and our flight took 2 and a half hours which was lovely as I am used to really long haul flights. The Occidental Allegro Riviera is located about a 40 minute bus journey from the airport, with a few other drop offs included on the way. Our transfers were included in the price of the holiday. ...Riviera Bay Holiday Park, (formerly known as St. Mary's Bay) is now run by Hoseasons. We booked a bargain break there last September. At the time of booking I pointed out that we were both disabled. Our first glimpse of the site was disappointing. The chalets were drab and outdated and looked like they'd been built in the 1960's. They were all in long rows, looking directly into each other - somewhat reminiscent of a prison camp. No sea view for us. On arrival at the reception, we were told that we could not park next to our chalet, as there were no roads on the site. It turned out that everyone had to park in the carpark and then haul their cases across the site to their chalets. We then learned that we would have to transport our luggage all the way from the carpark to our chalet ourselves, even though we're both disabled. I...

Sublime, chilled, Sicily!

Advantages: Staff, rooms, convenience.
Disadvantages: Heat can sometimes cause uncomfort.

Smile an everlasting smile.

Advantages: up close and personal with nature
Disadvantages: expensive and extras make it very expensive

...One of the trips we went to on our recent holiday to Cancun. Before leaving, everyone who had been had said you must go and do the dolphin trip. This review is not about the rights or wrongs of wild animals being held in captivity but about the experience itself. What I will say is that the dolphins are kept in a natural environment so they cannot either escape and predators cannot get in. They are extremely well looked after, cared for with deep affection by the handlers and stimulated and to my untrained eye appear very content. Dolphin Discovery is based at Puerto Aventuras, Riviera Maya, around 50 miles South of Cancun, which meant around an hours mini bus trip which is included in the price and you are picked up from your hotel. Disadvantages: Busy during summer school holidays (Dec and early Jan)
