Brilliant Belking Bargain!!

Advantages: Fast speed wired, No connection loss, Less lagg than other routers
Disadvantages: Slow wireless connection

...I have had this router for a little over 5 months now and before this i had a wireless router from another company (can't remember name or model). i had some problems when playing games over both wired and wireless connection so i went and bought this router from my local computer store. at the time i had 10mb cable connection and i was getting lower speeds than i expected. when i fitted the new router and set up the network (3 computers) in my house i realised an instant boost in speed compared to my old router (i am not saying this thing will make everyones speed better or faster). now my downloads take a much shorter time to download and i get much less lagg in games and streaming media than i used to. Never failed me yet

Advantages: reliable and well supported.
Disadvantages: Runs very warm, only has RJ45 socket

...I run several servers, and this is my network card of choice. Never had a problem with this card under FreeBSD, Linux and Windows, and the card has never had any problems with cheap hubs, like so many 100Mbit network cards seem to have. The card is obviously built to last, and has the three usual status lights, Link, Activity and 100Mbit. Card only has RJ45 Cat5 twisted pair socket, like most other 10/100 cards. Anyone who wants a reliable network, a fast card, a card which is supported well under BSD and other operating systems should buy this....

The card is very simple to install under windows 95/98 Or NT Server and Workstation just using the enclosed driver diskette (TCP/IP, Netbui and IPX all bound to the card just fine). ...An 8 port hub is an 8 port hub, right? There's nothing that can really seperate one from another, right? Not true. This hub, in addition to seven standard RJ45 ports and one switchable from standard to an uplink port, boasts two different power supply options, a co-ax connector for interfacing to coax networks, and activity indicators on each port. And it's impressively small, no wider than 8 RJ45 sockets edge to edge and only 3 inch deep. However, the hub does run worryingly warm, so much so that we had to increase the ventalation in our server cupboard. It's a cheap and cheerful hub. perfectly adequate for most networks, though I would not want to rely on it for anything vital....
