...Back when I re-started watching wrestling again back in 2003, there were many guys that I was familiar with. Triple H, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash and my personal, all time favourite, Shawn Michaels. Then, there were newer guys that caught my eye; Kurt Angle, Edge, Christian and this very man, the one of a kind, Rob Van Dam. The reason I fell in love with Rob's wrestling so quickly was because of his agility, speed, tenacity and great technical finesse, not to mention how different his move set was. I'd never seen a heavyweight do those kind of fascinating, high risk moves before, with the exception of the Heartbreak Kid. So, would RVD's DVD add to my good impression of his work rate? Just by looking at the cover of the set, you can tell that you are in for a treat with over 330 minutes of action, not to mention 16 matches...

Dam !!

Advantages: marvel at an engineering masterpiece, find out about its history
Disadvantages: expensive tour, not much to do apart from looking down a wall

...When visiting Las Vegas there are a few things you should do, apart from loosing all your spending money in the casinos. Trust me, you will loose, the casinos will win in the end, they are designed that way. Everyone, when in the area, should try and do one of two trips, of course both would be best: visit Grand Canyon - that big hole in the ground will leave you breathless - as well as take time out to see one of the 7 engineering wonders of the world, the one and only Hoover Dam. If you are pushed for time, Hoover Dam is the better option as it is only about 30 miles outside Las Vegas compared to the Grand Canyon with approx 280 miles (but doable in half a day if you either fly there or use a helicopter) and easily reached by either tour bus or rental car. Quite a dam..

Advantages: it really is a masterpiece..
Disadvantages: the tours are quite expensive

...The Hoover Dam is in the USA, on the border between the two states of Arizona and Nevada. It was built in 1936 and at that time it was the world?s largest concrete structure ever built. This was up until 1945 when the Grand Coulee Dam was built in Washington was built. It currently stands as the 35th-largest hydroelectric generating station in the world. Despite the dam being quite a long way down the list of generating stations it is still one of (if not THE) best known dams in the world. If I was randomly asked to name some dams then it would definitely be the first one that would spring to mind. As to why it is so popular I am unsure, maybe the sheer size and the location of it or the accomplishment of building it and what it meant for American architecture. Disadvantages: A bit more gratuitous violence than you'd want young children to witness

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead

Their website www.damexpress.co.uk advertised 2 different deals, the first being guaranteed 27 hours in Amsterdam for £49, with local pick-up points. The second was £99 this trip included 2 nights hotel stay with breakfast included, you departed very late Thursday evening and then had Fridays and Saturday to explore Amsterdam before being brought back to England on Sunday morning. VAN HELSH**

Advantages: Great theme tune and some good action sequences.
Disadvantages: Overuse of CGI, bad writing and a waste of money.

...I went to see Van Helsing the past weekend and I wasn't all that impressed. I mainly went to see the film because it looked good from the trailer and the fact that it was made by the director of one of my favourite films 'The Mummy'. It just shows you how important trailers are nowadays to the movie industry. Even a crap film with a good trailer can do well. For example Charlie Angels: Full Throttle, what a bad film, but it had an excellent trailer with that loud prodigy music blarring. Anyway back to Van Helsing. The movie opened in the U.S with about 50 something million dollars in total and will probably make a lot next week too.
