...I first knew about Robert Downey Jnr (RDJ) when I watched the 1992 Chaplin which he won a couple of awards for, which were well deserved. Then I started watching Ally McBeal and I totally fell in love. His preformance as her love interest in season 4 is fantastic, he's funny, smart and one hell of an actor. As most people know he's sufferd with acholic and drug problems through his life (idiot, but still loveable) and in season 4 of Ally McBeal he got thrown in jail again and got thrown off the show. Throughtout the show he did many preformances my favourite being his preformance with Sting singing Every Breath You Take, I know they we're either good friends before that or are good friends since. The only problems I have with this cd is it's too slow. I'm much more of a rock chick myself but this was a bit too slow. Also...

Review of Futurist, The - Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr & Val Kilmer were Excellent

Advantages: Original quirky & funny script with great characters
Disadvantages: A little slow to start

...The movie is about a petty thief who accidentally finds himself with a screen test in LA. When there he gets involved in a murder along with a gay private detective who is training him for his role and he runs into the girl who was his childhood sweetheart who also becomes entagled in the murder mystery. I was originally put off this movie as Robery Downey Jr was in it as I am not a fan of his (until now) and only rented it as Val Kilmer was in it and it was directed by Shane Black who did the Lethal Weapon movies which I love. But I have to admit that Robert Downey Jr was excellent in this movie and it really changed my opinion of him. Val Kilmer was excellent as always and really suits the extra weight he seems to be carrying these days. The movie was a little slow to start and I initally found the story abit confusing, but...

Advantages: Great specail effects and acting.

...This is the best Ally McBeal season by far, I think the actors and the crew have finally worked out what goes, and how far they can push things. They're made Ally more naurotic in this season, and her 'fantasies' are much more funnier. But the thing for me that makes this season what it is, is the gorgeous bad boy Robert Downey Jnr. His portrayale as Larry Paul, a person Ally mistakes for a therapist even though he's a lawyer and then falls deeply in love with is fantastic. In every role I've ever seen him in, he's so smart and this shines through in Ally McBeal. He becomes a proper regular in episode 4 of the season, where he takes Ally's case when she's been sued. She's in the middle of dating two men, who are father and son (only Ally McBeal could pull that off) and he's dating her co-worker Nelle. My favourite episodes...

...I actually stumbled upon this channel by accident, whilst flicking through the channels one day. After many years of watching cbeebies (bbc channel for pre school children) I felt it was time for a change. Mainly because we had been watching the channel almost every day for nearly 4 years (not continuously obviously only for a few hours each day) and by now I think we probably had seen every episode of each programme shown at least twice over if not more :O) It probably didn't bother Chloe or Lee, but was definitely starting to get to me. And there's only so many times you can sit there and watch the teletubbies over and over again without before getting seriously phased by it, i am sure you know what I mean :O) So anyway whilst flicking through the channels I came across NICK JR. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. ...This is a self-titled album by singer songwriter Robert Post. He comes from a small village in Norway called Langevaag and he got together with two friends, Tor and Alf, and set about to record an album. Tor does the drums and Alf plays bass for Post. Mike Hedges is the producer of the album, who has produced work for many different artists such as the Manic Street Preachers or Travis. This album looks like it could be set to be big in due time. Again, I first heard some of his music through a friend, when he downloaded one of the songs though iTunes.
