Isabel, Rocco and me!

...I seem to have got out of the habit of reading just recently, I have this really bad habit of still buying books even though they are just piling up next to the bed. So upon another visit to my local library and spotting a sale table I felt the urge to investigate, this time there was a wonderful array of books for my attention, so after much deliberation I chose three and was on my way. One of the three books I finally chose was a book called "Isabel and Rocco" by Anna Stothard, I have never been one of these people that finds a writer they like and read every book they have ever written?.well aside from Virginia Andrews but I maintain the reason for that is I had youth on my side. To be truthful the reason I chose this and nearly ever other book I have ever read is due entirely to the front cover, if the cover looks interesting...

I trust him to make a great CD!

Advantages: Consistent, a different sound, good bonus features
Disadvantages: Not so well known yet

...I'll admit I had never heard of Rocco Deluca until I randomly bumped into him along with his good pal Kiefer Sutherland (ouch, there goes my toe with the namedropping!) in a pool hall in Maine a couple of years back. A very random and fun night it was too, and when I got home from America I immediately looked up Rocco and bought his CD. I wasn't sure what I'd think of it, and didn't know what to expect, but he is a really nice guy and I wanted to give it a try. Am I ever glad I did! Fortunately for me, Rocco's music is right up my street. This CD, released on Kiefer's Ironworks record label, was released in 2006. It shares its title with a "rockumentary" which followed the band behind the scenes while touring across various countries under the watch of "tour manager" Kiefer, who lasted a whole 10 days and was glad to be back to...

Istrian idyll

Advantages: Charming, stylish, small, friendly and comfortable
Disadvantages: Motorway in the distance

...Hotel San Rocco is a fabulous place to stay and the photo shows the outdoor restaurant, pool and poolside eating and sunbathing area. In the background is the main hotel. San Rocco is a small hotel with only about 7 guest rooms (sorry I can't remember exactly). It is a family run hotel on the edge of the village of Britoniglia, on the Istrian Peninsula of Croatia. Traditional village life carries on around it and we were lucky enough to witness a Croatian wedding held in the village church, during our stay. This hotel is popular with couples as it is a really quiet, romantic hideaway. The hotel consists of two traditional buildings that have been renovated to a high standard with the outdoor swimming pool (with its own integral jacuzzi at one end) being a central feature, surrounded by steamer chairs for relaxing and sunbathing...

Naked Gun 33 1/3 - So Funny

Advantages: very funny script, funny actors

...This is a one of a kind movie and is one of my favorites its a action packed film about two brothers who are religious from irland and take on the Russian mafia and decide that there mission was giving to them by God.
