Advantages: Great combo of songs with amazing lyrics

...All i can really say is... WOW!... but don't be fooled by the cover, this isn't SW as you may know them... SW have changed the style of their music from industrial rock, evident in the brilliant "Darkest Days", to a brighter more melodic approach that could be classed as pop rock. However don't mistake this for a 'normal' pop rock album... tacky and too pop (bon jovi style)... SW have managed to keep a hint of the darkness of their industrial days whilst creating a more musical 'pop' album. With Christopher Hall on vocals nothing can go wrong... he proves yet again that he has an amazing voice which just seems to get better and better from album to album. The lyrics are also as brilliant as Hall's voice, enchanting and frequently beautiful. My Favourite songs are "So Far Away", "Wasted", "I Remember" and "Angel" but I can't say I... Read review

...Just when we thought they couldn't possibly think of more ideas, they blow us away with their new inventive idea. Coco Pops creations is all the coco pops cereals together in one pack, but in seperate boxes so that different creations can be made in the cereal and kids can have fun eating their breakfast at the same time; All these varieties of coco pops are very tasty. Very chocolatey. I myself couldnt resist it. The pack contains, coco pops original, coco pops rocks, coco pops crunchers and coco pops munchers. I have little brothers and sisters and they love this product. They can't get enoughof it! However, what people should do, is put some coco pops of each variety in 4 bowls and give that to the children, because if you give the whole thing to them, they might eat too much of it and also make a mess! ...Coco Pops Rocks From Kellogg’s Cereal is something I love and I seem to go through boxes of the stuff. I can find that getting the same old sort is rather tiresome and I usually try and try newly released products or ones that are on special offer and I have yet to try. These Coco Pops Rocks were on special offer in Tesco’s a few weeks ago and I think it was something like £2.50 pence for two boxes. They are smaller than most boxes but they are rather heavy and contain a lot of “Rocks” inside. They are fairly new out on to the market and no one I knew had tried them yet so I thought I would give them ago. These chocolate flavoured breakfast cereals I always find rather expensive and no always the best thing to be eating first thing in the morning. I do like to snack on them throughout the day or evening so I don’t mind... Read review

Advantages: FM quality broadcasts
Disadvantages: "Rock" would be a misuse of the word

...Living in Lancashire the main local radio station listened to is probably Rock FM, and from its name it would sound a good station for me to listen to with my taste in music (i.e. rock) however if I do tune in and listen, as I do at work (its not my decision what we listen to) I find that this station with the word rock in its title plays music as far from that genre as is physically possible. In the time I listen to the station on a weekly basis I probably hear about 2 rock songs in total, and these are the most commercial, pop orientated rock songs currently available. The main focus of the radio station seems to me to be in the dance, R 'n' B and pop areas of music, none of which genres appear in the radio stations name... ...Avril seems to be the newest and most hip hoppest newcomer in music. Her first album, being this ''Let Go'' was a huge seller. Lavigne sings with passion and flows on with meaningful and deepful lyrics with songs with meaning. This album, is really distinctive in the fact that there is a fine selection of nice rock tracks in here again mixed with the occasional number of pop numbers. The songs all seem very well written, and the album certainley seems very mature. This is a fine album filled with outstanding rock tracks with just the right amount of pop mixed in with them. ''Losing Grip'' is a very loud pop track but is rock too. Very fast and in a sense relatively upbeat, this is a good song. A very loud chorus and well sang. Advantages: Some very decent pop-rock tracks

...first taste of Rooster is the blues tinged pop-rock intro to "Joyride". There's a distinct boy band feel to the vocals, which have the same rough edge as Charlie's from Busted, but the underlying music has more of a rock influence than their music did. There's still a pop influence, but this is definitely pop-rock, a step on from Busted, although not quite reaching proper rock music. The intro to "Come Get Some" has a slightly funkier edge to it and it has more of a dance pop beat to it. It's more of a pop influenced song than "Joyride", although it's certainly heavy pop as opposed to the normal lightweight pop sound. The not-quite-rapping vocal delivery and the slightly funk tinged beat make this sound like the kind of thing Five used to do. The riff that opens "Standing In Line" could have been borrowed from Bad Company or Free... Read review

''Live Twice'' features a collection of gentle ballads and pop and rock tracks. Darius shows how good of a voice has, he sings with emotion and passion. ...Brian Mcfadden after leaving Westlife, clearly wanted a change in the style of music of his songs. Instead of singing pop and ballads Brian's debut album is full of catchy ballads and rock tracks. His vocals are pleasant and the quality of the songs - in terms of lyrics is pretty high. ''Irish Son'' is Brian Mcfadden's debut album and seems to say alot about him. ''Irish Son'' is a really good pop and rock track. Very catchy and has a great rhythm. The song has meaning and defines Brian Mcfadden's life and views. ''Try This'' is Pink's third album, where she collabrates with soul singers and the lesser known 'R' and 'B' stars. ''Try This'' is a great pop album, the songs are very varied. There are songs on here which will make you laugh and dance - musical genred tracks of pop, rock, soul and 'R' and 'B' provide an excellent third album from Pink. ...Not content with being an annoying pop group who mime and dance like a bunch of idiots, a teens copy Abba. Abba. Qite possibly the original cheesy pop act... and there are actually eight year olds who buy this stuff? This is depressing. How could such a group be allowed in a civilised society. Is there really a market for this stuf any more? We've survived Steps, S Club 7, more boy bands than you can point a Kaleshnikov at, solo albums, girl power, do we really need more pop?
