...People in Britain tend to think of the three ex-Soviet Baltic republics, if they think of them at all, as a uniform group and to assume they're much of a muchness. I have to admit that before I went to the region I rather shared that assumption. Once there, one learns a bit about their individual histories and ethnicities, and observes their differing national characters. The Estonians are polite and efficient, but perhaps somewhat stolid. The Latvians are brisker, sharper and less forthcoming; compared to Tallinn, Riga has an edgy feel. And the Lithuanians? They are sometimes described as the Italians of the region, though I'm not sure that quite does them - or the Italians - justice. But they do seem more easy-going than their neighbours, and there is an offbeat, unconventional side to their nature. Why else would...

Republic of quality clothing.

Advantages: nice variety of quality clothes and mega fast delivery.
Disadvantages: Some of the clothes are too expensive

You can also pay with a card if you prefer or if you don't have paypal, but I do recommend that you get it. The dress came just two days after she bought it which I thought was nice and fast. The packaging had republic on it so I knew what it was and the dress was lovely. I am very pleased with the quality of their clothing and their speedy delivery. I also recieved an email-reciept and they told me when the order had been dispatched so they really do have great communication skills so you always know what is happening. ...seemed very surprised and gave me a funny look when I told her it was for me that worried me for a start. The story was interesting because firstly it centred on the lives of three very different contrasting characters that, only shared a wonderful talent. It was fascinating to see what happened to them as the novel went chronologically through all the highs and lows of their lives, all the main developments that went to make them all Rock Stars. Yes in some ways it was shallow, the way these fortunate people enjoyed such a lavish lifestyle. Full of beautiful young men and women who?s only leisure time pursuit seemed to be having sex. Luckily these scenes were not too graphic in the author?s descriptions of them; instead she left quite a bit of it to your own imagination which was fine by me. ...Guitar Hero 3 - Legends of Rock!!! My husband and I love our Wii and are always looking for new games and when Guitar Hero came out we knew we had to get it. I had heard about it alot from other people and from reading reviews for other games systems so was excited when I saw it had come out for Wii. We bought the game pack from Argos for £69.99, a bit steep for a new computer game but bear in mind that you are not only getting a game but also the hardware to go with it, namely the guitar. Advantages: An awesome game that will keep you hapy

...cannot name all of these songs but know that most are good old fashioned rock songs. Some are newer than others but still are all great choices for this game. Here are some examples: 3's and 7's - Queens of the Stone Age Knights of cydonia - Muse Paint it black - Rolling stones One - Metallic Sabotage - beastie boys Bulls on parade - Rage against the machine Even flow - pearl jam The metal - tenacious D Sunshine of your love - Cream There are also many classics. Most of the songs are performed by the actual bands but some are impersonators. Its quite hard to notice however! Also you are going to face people like Slash , Tom morello and Big Lou in battles. Advantages: nice relaxing holiday, friendly people, great weather.
Disadvantages: hassle by the beach vendors, some shop keepers and time share people

...We have just spent two fabulous weeks in Cabarete on the North coast of Dominican Republic, and I want to tell you all about it. We flew with Thomson and it cost us approx £600 each. Spending money, we probably spent around £400, not including our diving course. First off a bit of geography, DomRep occupies one half of the island of Hispaniola. One of the larger islands in the Caribean. The other half of it being Haiti. It is approximately 8 1/2 hrs away from the UK, but is well worth the time taken to get there. Remember hurricane Jeanne, of September 2004 hitting and devastating Haiti and Dom Rep, well we got there about 7 days after she did expecting to find devestation and in fact had wanted to cancel our holiday, but didn't as we would have lost all our money. ...I had already read about The Republic Bier Halle on the net so, when doing a spot of Christmas shopping in Glasgow, I was thinking less about 'The first Noël' and more about 'Bush Noël' (it's a beer). The Republic opened in October 1999, a welcome change to the usual, ubiquitous, trendy bars in central Glasgow and is going from strength to strength. Recently the owner, Colin Barr (now there's a name to suit a chosen occupation!), opened a new bar in Glasgow's south-side called The Bier Stube. He has plans to open another in Sauchiehall St., and one in Edinburgh (can't come soon enough) with more to follow. The bar can be hard to find but it needn't be.
