...Having recently been to Reading Festival, many of you would be intrigued to know they had a blanket ban on aerosols above 100ml this year, meaning most of us smelly twenty-somethings had to buy a roll-on or pocket-sized spray to prevent the pungent smell of festivals setting in. So, rather than get the ridiculously priced Lynx "Bullet", I went for one of their roll-ons - the Africa brand anti-perspirant to be exact... The roll-on stands approximately four inches tall, with a silver screw cap which it rests on. The Africa range has green and red 'trim' to it on the front sticker, but other than that it's exclusively black and silver. After unscrewing the cap, it's nothing unusual - the clear roller ball has yet to be touched but by simply pushing it slightly it will start to roll and gather the anti-perspirant from inside the casing...

A Wand With No Magic!

Advantages: Good looking, ok moisturiser, does refresh for a minute.
Disadvantages: Does not brighten the eyes, no difference to eye area.

I agree that beauty comes from what is in the inside, but I think to some degree what they are saying is if you use their products, you will look good and therefore feel happy. Roll on, Roll Off .........

Advantages: Healthier to your pits
Disadvantages: Expensive and not as potent as your usual brand

...and threw away the last of my Amplex in disgust. It?s appears to be a dry roll on with a subtle smell of Brut. I think its meant to be more oceanic but I think its Brut. The stick reminds me of a vanish bar but don?t be tempted to rub it onto your laundry! However upon application it actually takes a while for your armpits to dry, they feel quite sticky for a good few minutes. You may end up flapping like a chicken for a while in the bathroom before you get your clothes on. Its also hard to judge just how much you have put on so don?t get carried away. There are no white patches which normal roll on?s leave and its good for sensitive skin. However, I find it does not last all day and you have to reapply. Swapped my "Mum" for this...

...I bought this by accident a few months ago at my local Boots store. I picked it and dropped it into my basket assuming it was a "Mum" roll-on deodorant. Imagine my surprise when I got home and emptied my bag to find this completely different item to what I thought I'd purchased - instead of my usual roll-on, I'd bought a Boots 24 hour Protection Pastel Anti-Perspirant Deodorant 50ml roll-on. On checking the receipt I found it was only 69 pence, which seemed pretty cheap. What the heck, I thought, I may as well try it now that I've bought it, (I didn't fancy trudging back to the shops for 69 pence). Basically a good product

...I recently thought I would try Boots Basics Roll-On Deodorant. The shop has just launched a cheap "own brand" range but I've yet to see many items in it, except for this deodorant, some sanitary towels and bubble bath. Anyway, the deodorant is only 39p which is why I thought I would take a risk with it. I haven't been disappointed. PACKAGING The bottle is 50ml and it has a medium plastic body with a large plastic top and a large roll-on ball. It's not very practical for carrying about with you. You couldn't easily slip it into a make-up bag like you can some other deodorants and body sprays, but it's functional for your bedside cabinet. ...Througout a majority of my adult life I have always uses a deodorant/anti-perspirant and have used many different brands over that period of time. I do not really sweat in abundance as my work has more to do with paper than anything else. I also do not suffer from any excessive body odour or the likes. However I have always found it necessary to use a deodorant/anti-perspirant in order to maintain a clean and fresh feeling and for the odd time that I do tend to end up in a sweat. Initially I used the spray on type and then changed to the roll on version. My reasons for this was that with the spray (aerosol) versions I personally felt that the contents tend to evaporate a lot more quickly than the roll-on version, when applied. Wot A Bargain !!!

Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, hair free legs for upto four weeks (or longer)
