...When we were visiting the Costa del Sol at the end of May, we decided to take a day-trip to RONDA. Of course, being situated so very close to the concrete jungle of the Costa del Crime, 50km or around an hour's drive, coupled with the fact that the town is stunningly scenic, means that we weren't the only ones with this in mind. IT GETS VERY BUSY. Never mind. It was the first full day of our holiday, so we were up at the crack of dawn (almost) and half-way there before most tour buses had even struggled out of their cosy garages. RONDA is literally jam-packed with history and is one of Andalucia's most visited towns. It hangs, precipitously, atop a plateau which commands wide vistas in all directions. Review of Ronda (Spain)

Walk around Ronda

Advantages: Interesting town
Disadvantages: none

...We needed an Easter break so we went to the Andalusian Mountains of Spain. We stayed in accommodation not far away from Ronda. I was very impressed with this town so will tell you about my visit here . Ronda is inland from the Costa del Sol it takes about an hour to drive the113km from Malaga. Ronda is easily accessible by train from Algerciras or Granada and the stations in between. We were lucky and found a place to park the car in one of the streets but there is a car park by the bull ring and some other underground car parks too. We drove to Ronda from the village we were staying in Ronda is a great viewpoint with views of mountains the most fantastic scenery. The narrow gorge, Tajo del Ronda, 150 meters deep runs through the town .The Guadalevin River runs along this gorge. There are three magnificent bridges to span...

Benidorm it's not!!

Advantages: The beauty, history and culture of Spain that is so often missed

My husband and daughter opted for a delicious looking Andalusian chicken dish, but Jack and I went for a type of Frito Misto ? a huge platter of a mix of all sorts of fish ? some only centimetres small, delicious squid, along with the tentacles (that Jack always calls testicles- it started of as a mistake at the age of 5 and he has carried it on ever since!). As I wasn?t driving I was able to wash it all down with lashings of Saint Miguel - delicious. ~~HISTORY~~ Ronda is one of the oldest cities of Spain. In fact there have been local finds to prove life there in to the Neolithic age. TD4 S

Advantages: Good engine performance
Disadvantages: a few rattles on the trim & road noise

...I went for the TD4S, it's the lowest specification model, no air con, steel wheels, one driver side air bag, basic radio/casette. The plus side to this is it's less attractive to potential thieves than a TD4 with all the "bells" The car drives very well as the 1951cc diesel engine is excellent. I have not found any great problems with acceleration it moves off quite well and while not a sports car it copes when there is a need to pull away a bit sharpish in to moving traffic. The gearing is excellent, very positive and quite forgiving if you are over geared for the speed, takes a lot to stall it. It has a hill descent control device on the gear stick, designed for descending steep slippery off road hills. I don't think I will ever use this facility and maybe should have been an optional extra.The car handles very well and is nice to...

TD4 Commercial 2001 model

Advantages: Car like, comfortable motorway driving good compromise for 4x4
Disadvantages: not a serious off roader and still has reliability weaknesses

...at around 80-85 MPH you would get about 32 to the gallon by my calculation. which is not quite as good as I expected but if you cruise at say 70 Landrover say that 42 MPG is expected. I usually carry quite a heavy load so I guess I will have to get used to the 32MPG figure. Driving round town is good as the slightly higher driving position gives good visibility and the turning circle is not bad for a 4x4. Its fairly short body makes finding a parking spce quite easy compared to my previous vehicle, a double cab pickup. On the first day I had the vehicle the fuel pump and sender packed up on me which was a bit of a problem but I eventually got it started but then a few days later it died again and I had to get recovered to a landrover dealer who replaced the pump for about £460 plus VAT which luckily the garage I bought it from paid as it was...

Freelander TD4 3 Door Hardback

Advantages: Towing capability, practicality, equipment levels
Disadvantages: body roll, easily damaged interior, awkward hardback, costly insurance

...i have found it hard to find a small 4 x 4 that is actually a capable off roader, with towing ability for my horse! In the Freelander i have found a solution to my problem. Since driving a diesel engine Freelander all other small 4 x 4's seem to fade into insignificance. The car itself is well proportioned and especially smart in dark metallic colours, just try to avoid models with the sport bull bars and body kit as these look a litlle too tacky, and ruin the look of the car. If possible aim for an ES model, this is due to the high specification level including leather interior and CD auto changer! The car itself may look small and compact on the outside, but has a big 4 x 4 feel inside, especially when driving! The drive itself is particularly comfortable, the only slight problem i had is there is a slight body rolll...

the wonderful ghd mk4

Advantages: easy and quick too use

...These hair straghtners really are a dream come true. As ever they straighten hair with ease and precision. i find they heat up very quickly and audibly bleep to let you know they are at temperature. the ceramic plates glide through my hair with no pulling or tugging, turning locks into beautifully straight hair. I have always been a big GHD fan, but have in the past found that they didnt last all that long, though these mark 4's touch wood have been fine so far. they curl brilliantly too. really are a godsend for hassle free styling. great too for those mornings iv slept in and in a great hurry. it only takes about ten minuites to straighten my shoulder length hair. couldnt be without them now....

The Call of Duty Franchise has always been good for graphics, RPG Smoke Trails, Giant Explosions, Muzzle flash, Weather Effects, Wall Marks (bullet Holes and scars) You Can play through a level seeing dead bodies and c4 packs flashing around. Difficulty Well the game is pretty simple on recruit and the one above i cant remember, but if you play on hardened or veteran expect a great challenge ahead of you. It is pretty much a 3 bullet kill on hardened and 2 on veteran. The A.I is very difficult to get past, and this can make the game longer and a much more challenging game...
