Versatile Bread Box
Review of Suzuki Wagon R+ 1.0 by
sanyal
Advantages: huge space, easy parking, cruises at 100 kph, cheap
Disadvantages: boxy looks, back seat cramped, vibrates at over 100 kph
...This is a review for the 1061 cc, 64 BHP version which I own in India. The car is one of the easiest to drive with a superb driving position and large areas of glass. Compact engine bay has freed up lots of space for passengers. Unfortunately, there isn't enough room for four 6-footers in this car. The engine is lively and free revving, the five speed manual gearbox is smooth and for the price (approx $ 8500 in India), there is very little to complain about excepting of course, the LOOKS. Buyers need to remember that the car looks this way because it was an attempt to get around Japanese municipal laws on engine size and dimensions, and this was the solution that emerged (comparable models from Daihatsu and Hyundai look very similar). Bright metallic colours (Red in my case), a roof spoiler and roof rails improve the look. Great for city...

MGF VVC
Review of MG by
Angelama
Advantages: Corners well. Convertible.
Disadvantages: Rising petrol costs - not a car problem though!
...I bought an MGF VVC and have been running it for approximately two years now. In that time, touch wood, I've not had any major mechanical problems, in fact the only problem I've had was one with spark plugs which cost £20 to fix. It is a lovely lady's car, sporty and fun. The roof is easy to put up and down, the styling is great. A bit of a head turner when the sun is out and the roof is down I can tell you!
My dog loves the MG because he can see out of the window whether he sits on the seat or not!
My niece loves the MG for its excellent sound system (mine's got a CD player in it.
My sister loves it because it is small and nippy.
My mum thinks I'm flash.
My Dad is very tall and broad and he does make it look a little small but it's not too bad!
Most of all, I love my MG because it is a smart little car. It performs well...

The poor mans Rolls Royce My 2000 W Espace
Review of Renault Espace 3.0 by
clancheif2000
Advantages: performance, removable seats, space, comfort , ride, many parts cheap and easily available. Good stereo system. practicality
Disadvantages: fuel consumption, very expensive belts and plugs replacements1000£+,little room under bonnet ,too mutch roll on corners
...Other than under the bonnet plugs and belt replacements and access to some engine components , servicing is easy on brakes, oil change, petrol , cabin filters , and parts such as the exhaust are cheap to buy £80 and is easily replaced. The wheels have locking nuts. There is a good alarm and imobiliser and remote locking. The body is fiberglass and resists indenting. The chasis is galvenised but still corrodes and is a mass of corroded zink but there is no steel corrosion on the thick steel subframe which most cars dont have. . . Seating is ok, the seats are leather , space only for children in the very rear.as the leg room is limited. Any seating configuration is possible and can be like a hackney cab due to the rail system used to attach the seats to the subframe. . The turning circle is good...

Who Needs Tracks? Its the DLR
Review of Docklands Light Rail (DLR) by
painey
Advantages: Fast, Always on Time, Arrive often
Disadvantages: Busy at Peak times until Canary Wharf
...Docklands light railway is, rather unsuprisingly a rail link around the London Docklands area. The two most notable stations that it stops at are Stratford and Canary Wharf.
The DLR is a remote controlled train, not like your toy car you used to race but it means the train can be driven without anyone on board. Unlike most railways too, it runs on a single line, like a rollercoaster, rather than tracks. The best thing about the DLR is the screens at each station which inform you when the trains are arriving, and when they are going, and best of all they are always accurate.
The trains themselves are normally very clean and nice, and there are normally fare checkers on 1 train in 3, so no fare dodging! The views around London are fantastic, however if you are travelling at peak time you will more than likely be staring at someones...

Skoda fabia 1.4Tdi Estate
Review of Skoda Fabia 1.4 by
tjm123
Advantages: Fuel economy, safety, reliablity
Disadvantages: it wallows in the corners a bit
...We have had a 1.4tdi estate now for 2 yrs. It has done 20,000 miles and is fantastic.
We had it from new, delivery was earlier than expected. It\'s the classic model but with additional options of electric windows, remote locking, roof rails, towbar, headrest for the middle back seat, skoch gaurd inside and paint protection for just over £11500 on the road.
It came with seat height adjustment as standard so its good for me(6foot) and good for the wife(5ft 2in).
One thing and one thing only has gone wrong with it and that was the cd player which they replaced free of charge.
The only thing that does let it down over older models is the leg room in the back if you have a long legged driver (my friend is 6ft 5in) and wish to put an adult in the back.
The engine is very quiet for a deisel except when first starting it from cold, however once...

A Great Stadium for Wales
Review of Wales by
ashford
Advantages: Wonderful facilities World Class home for Wales
Disadvantages: Few
...The Millenium Stadium Cardiff, the new home of Welsh rugby, has really been in the limelight. It very successfully handled the World Rugby Cup shortly after its opening, then hosted in quick succession the Worthington League Cup Final and the FA Cup final which saw Liverpool winning both trophies. More recently the thrilling Charity Shield match which saw Liverpool defeating Manchester United 2-1,was held at the stadium. This match was held under cover.
This fine stadium was constructed on the very historic Cardiff Arms Park site bang in the middle of the Welsh capital. It was explicitly designed from the outset for all-year,all-weather use- very wise given the capricious British weather- and has a remarkable retractable roof which is the very first of its kind in the UK.
It is a flexible,multi-use sports arena of world class...

Bridging the GAP
Review of Gap (Shop) by
purdy
Advantages: Quality clothes which endure wash after wash
Disadvantages: Clothes may seem expensive to some
...Up until recently l had not really bothered about Gap - l simply used the store in Belfast as a short cut into the CastleCourt shopping centre. One-day l decided ld stop and take a look.
The Belfast Store is extremely busy and crams a lot into a small space - women’s wear, men’s wear and junior sizes. A separate store exists for babies and toddlers. (I must emphasis that this is only the case in the Belfast Store - other stores have everything under one roof)
Clothes may seem expensive but l do not mind paying that little bit extra when it comes to quality. I find Gap clothes to have that edge over others. They wash well, keep their shape and endure well!
The style (for women anyway!) is mostly casual - with their hooded sweatshirts, jeans, tee shirts and baseball caps. I bought a pair of Gap jeans on Friday and l...

Luv the car, not too sure about customer loyalty
Review of Peugeot 307 2.0 HDi by
feckineedjut
Advantages: Comfortable, fun to drive, cheap & reliable
Disadvantages: Mileage, economy & performance
...Now don't get me wrong I absolutely love this car, I bought it after having one as a courtesy car for a few weeks.
BACKGROUND: I was actually looking to trade my 4 year old 306 in for a C-Class Merc CDi, but then was leant this car by my dealer whilst some work was done on my car. Within 2 weeks I'd done the bargaining and got a cracking deal on the top of the range DTurbo (be sure to go in at the end of their sales quarters in future).
PROS:
-Sporty look (3dr DTurbo with wide alloy wheels).
-This car has a really comfortable seating position (nice quality half-leather finish) and you're higher than most in traffic.
-Turbo Diesel engine (110HP common rail system) - plenty of power and lots of torque.
-Very good deal as they were obviously slightly down on that quarter's sales figures.
-Gadgets, gadgets, gadgets - auto lights...

Not Bad for a Renault
Review of Renault Scénic 1.9 dTi by
AnnaH
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...become caked the Renault dealer said this was common with this model and we should have it cleaned every 6 months!
Driving the car does take some getting used to, particularly the tilt on cornering, you just get used to slowing down a bit more than you would normally. It is also quite noisy, particularly with the roof rails on and because of the noise we never open either of the sun roofs, just use the air conditioning.
The kids love it, the parents are thinking of replacing it soon, a 6th seat would be very useful, maybe a Multipla - I put comfort and reliability before looks!...

One of the most addictive titles ever
Review of Tony Hawks 2 (PSX) by
Iva_Biggin
Advantages: see text
Disadvantages: see text
...impressive tricks to buy. This is how TH2 almost introduce strategy into what is ,essentially, an out-and-out action game. How much you decide to save or spend is down to how good you think you are and how far you reckon your playing skills alone can make up for any deficiencies in your chosen skateboarder.
The levels that at first glance look pretty similar to the original's turn out on closer inspection to be far bigger and more complex.Secret areas arent merely rooms behind walls of glass or roof tops, in some cases (like New York) they are whole levels in themselves effectively doubling the size of the stage with a wealth of ramps, rails and walls as well as hidden tapes and free money.Just when you think that King Dollar rules Tony's world, up pops the first of the three competition stages - sun kissed Marseille, where you have to compete...
