...My biggest achievement so far in 2005 has been losing 2 stone in 13 weeks. I could not have done it without Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness clubs. I have been gradually gaining weight for about ten years. At a size 18-20 on my lower half I was a bit depressed at my appearance. I have tried to diet by myself but I always chuck it in after one too many packets of crisps that have tempted me. I had thought about slimming clubs in the past to motivate myself but I was not sure I wanted to spend £5 a week on being weighed and lectured. So what was different about Rosemary Conley? Give Rosemary Conley a go!!!

Advantages: exercise class included, no bulky printed material, friendly
Disadvantages: costs more than Weightwatchers,slimming world etc

...weighloses and people tend to keep going to maintain their losses. That is why i am writing this review. For years i said 'no way' to rosemary conley but i wished i had done it sooner. I want to assure larger ladies/girls/woman that Rosemary Conley can be the place for you to lose weight. More women of a much larger build should join! After all that is what it is for!!! The negative....fees seem a little higher than other slimming groups (currently £5.75 i believe but i pay monthly £18.50 by direct debit which is alittle easier.) The period from weigh-in to the discussion seems to drag if you are there earlier, people tend to straggle in. I find counting calories a little harder to grasp and have to keep looking it up in the book so takes a little longer to plan my meals and work out my calories for the day. Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness Clubs - amazing!

Advantages: Everything - fab weight loss, made friends and had fun
Disadvantages: NONE! (can't beleive im writing none!)

...What a fantastic club! I have tried other weight loss clubs and none have been nearly as effective. My class cost £6 a week - although if you join premier club, you get loads of benefits, don't have to pay as you go and its cheaper. The instructors are lovely - and all training by the guru Rosemary Conley herself - you can't get much better than this. Value for money is great - you get weigh in, personal advice, a 10min motivational talk AND A 45 MINUTE EXERCISE session - all for the same price as other slimming clubs! The exercise is very good - it is structured and everyone can do it - every level is catered for. I've made loads of good friends and really think that i will keep going even when i hit my goal weight just to keep it all going! Will recommend to everyone and anyone!...

Rosemary Conley Fitness Video

Advantages: easy to do. something for everyone
Disadvantages: have to rewind and fast forward a lot

...I am a disabled lady and was looking for low impact exercise video tape which contained exercises I could do without standing and having to dance around the room. I found Rosemary Conleys video New Body by design video was really good. It has six sections to this tape three of which are all laying or sitting on the floor. I have been doing this exercise plan now for two weeks at roughly fifteen minutes each day and it is really helping. I would recommend this for any one in my position although there are still parts which I find to difficult but then everyone is different and Rosemary has I am sure had this in mind when making this video....

Rosemary Conley Diet Class

...I've belonged to my local Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness Class for just over a year now. I've tried every diet going nearly and this is the best one as far as I'm concerned. I pay £18.00 a month which means that I can go to as many classes in my area to exercise and just weigh once a week as usual. The class consists of weight in, followed by a motivational talk and then the exercise. I don't find it 'happy clappy' like Weightwatchers and your weight loss (or gain!) is confidential. You also get a Slimmer of the Week certificate if you have the most weight loss which is a real motivation to beat everyone else in your class! My local class also has a Salsa Dance Evening which makes it more enjoyable than the bog standard aerobics class. The diet itself is simple to follow with lots of diet plans available for you to...

Rosemary Connerly - Shape Up and Salsacise

Advantages: Fantastic Fun and Witty Routines
Disadvantages: Having to watch her helpers as they fake smile through the pain!

...When I first tried this DVD I was aiming to get fit and shape up perhaps litterally what the title says (to be honest I bought it as it was on special offer!) The first level is a gentle introduction into Salsacise and Rosemary encourages watchers to feel the rhythm of the music and cha cha cha with their feet after almost every move. The catchy beat and quick steps make this first section thoroughly enjoyable. Rosemary also introduces you to her assistants who have lost an incredible amount of weight between them! I chose to follow Juilette who was doing the routines in a more advanced way. There is also a lady called Jaqui who does the routine in a more introductory style for those who are not quite as fit. Rosemary does a sort of 'in the middle' attempt but I do not blame her as she talks almost all the time! All the new moves...

Another Excellent Rosemary Workout DVD

Advantages: Some short workouts, timer, various levels (easy to hard).
Disadvantages: Some moves take a little practice to get right.

...Like other Rosemary's fitness workouts she has a number of different people working at various levels. When i first started this particular workout six years ago (on video back then) i was very unfit and so followed the lowest level. It was a great way to ease myself into exercising without feeling useless because i couldn't possibly do the medium to hard levels. However, it does give you an idea of where you can get to and gives you goals to work towards. I soon managed to reach the harder level and felt a lot fitter and that i'd acheived something. So once again at the beginning of this year, after four years of not doing any sort of exercise (due to changes in my life) other than a few sit ups every morning, i bought the DVD version, since i no longer owned a video player. The first thing to say is that Rosemary is really easy to grow and in my experience quite forgiving too! Having said that Rosemary is not easy to grow from seed. I recommend you buy your plant from a nursery. They are really cheap, usually about £1 each. April is the ideal month for planting outside although it is not to late now in early may. Rosemary originates from the Mediterranean and so not surprisingly likes to grow in a sunny spot. It also likes sandy soil although my plants grow very happily in clay soil. Planting is really easy; simply dig a hole about 3 inches deep...
