...I have been on a task to lose some weight after having Harry, as I never really shifted those baby pounds (naughty me). I've done well through healthy eating, losing just over a stone and I am now back to the weight I was just before I got pregnant. However, I like to do a bit of exercise every now and then just to keep fit, and I also want to tone up as well...this is the bit I am still trying to work on! Disadvantages: no free membership after target weight, pointless free CD

Another Excellent Rosemary Workout DVD

Advantages: Some short workouts, timer, various levels (easy to hard).
Disadvantages: Some moves take a little practice to get right.

...Like other Rosemary's fitness workouts she has a number of different people working at various levels. When i first started this particular workout six years ago (on video back then) i was very unfit and so followed the lowest level. It was a great way to ease myself into exercising without feeling useless because i couldn't possibly do the medium to hard levels. However, it does give you an idea of where you can get to and gives you goals to work towards. I soon managed to reach the harder level and felt a lot fitter and that i'd acheived something. So once again at the beginning of this year, after four years of not doing any sort of exercise (due to changes in my life) other than a few sit ups every morning, i bought the DVD version, since i no longer owned a video player. Give Rosemary Conley a go!!!

Advantages: exercise class included, no bulky printed material, friendly
Disadvantages: costs more than Weightwatchers,slimming world etc

...When my Mum suggested i join her at Rosemary Conley two things went immediately throught my mind.... 1. I don't know whether i fancy sweating/panting/dying in front of other people. 2. Rosemary Connerly - Shape Up and Salsacise

Advantages: Fantastic Fun and Witty Routines
Disadvantages: Having to watch her helpers as they fake smile through the pain!

...When I first tried this DVD I was aiming to get fit and shape up perhaps litterally what the title says (to be honest I bought it as it was on special offer!) The first level is a gentle introduction into Salsacise and Rosemary encourages watchers to feel the rhythm of the music and cha cha cha with their feet after almost every move. The catchy beat and quick steps make this first section thoroughly enjoyable. Rosemary also introduces you to her assistants who have lost an incredible amount of weight between them! I chose to follow Juilette who was doing the routines in a more advanced way. There is also a lady called Jaqui who does the routine in a more introductory style for those who are not quite as fit. Rosemary does a sort of 'in the middle' attempt but I do not blame her as she talks almost all the time! All the new moves...

Weight loss wonder DVD

Advantages: Switch from beginner to advanced during a workout
Disadvantages: Stretch durations don't match

...I have a lot of exercise videos and DVDs and this is my favourite aerobic DVD (I've follow it 3 times a week for several years - with occasional breaks to try other DVDs). Rosemary Conley is one of the best fitness instructors as she almost always explains the exercises in a way that makes them easy to follow. There are several different exercise levels demonstrated on the DVD and you can easily switch between them part way through the routine. This DVD has a half hour aerobic routine and a half hour toning routine (there's also a chair workout for people with mobility difficulties, but I haven't tried this). The aerobic routine is sufficiently gentle that it can be used by beginners - and, if you follow the advanced exercises, it's sufficiently strenuous that it'll maintain fitness levels for fitter people. Finally an exercise DVD that has staying power

Advantages: The DVD is split into manageable 10 minute sessions
Disadvantages: You have to have the willpower to use it regularly

...complex, some ineffective and I wasn't making much progress until someone at work suggested Rosemary Conley. I bought a couple of her DVDs and tried them out. I love the 'Brand New You' DVD better than all of the others in my collection. It is the one I use day after day and it is the one that I credit with my new more shapely figure. What I especially like about this DVD is that it is broken into manageable segments lasting around 10 minutes each so you can choose which part of your body or fitness you want to work on and do those exercises. I do 20 minutes every morning before work and by sticking with it I can definitely see the difference. The exercises are easy to follow and Rosemary works out with four other people (one of whom is Colleen Nolan). They all exercise at different levels so you can choose the level which suits you...

Rosemary & Thyme mystery drama

Advantages: Great storylines, one part episodes, interesting.

... TV Programme Only (I am not reviewing the DVD format) Rosemary and Thyme is a mystery drama which shows on ITV 1, currently at 4pm on weekdays (mon-fri). It is on for an hour, and each episode ends in the one hour (there are no 2 part episodes), and the story starts anew each day, meaning you don't have to watch it every day to know what is happening in the show, just tune in when you want to watch an episode and forget about it until you come across it again. Slim 'n ' Salsacise with Rosemary

Advantages: Fun and heart beatingly fast
Disadvantages: Costumes and the fake smiling!

...The music is a little annoying and the costumes perhaps out dated but still this DVD gives a heathy fat burning exercise for people of all levels of fitness. If you are a beginner follow the simpler moves and if you are a serious exercise guru you can adapt the moves the increase the complexity and therefore the exericse for your body. As in her previous DVDs, Rosemary and a team of 'Weight Losers' take you on a wonderful exercise journey full of fun and hardly any rest. This builds up your heart rate allowing you to burn fat a lot more easily. If it gets too hard you can slow the movements and not make them so extrovert, the important thing is to try and keep moving. The first level is basic basic, in fact as I have done salsacise before I did not do this one (too excited to get onto the harder levels) Level 2 is about 18 mins...
