Funky chicks and dazzling guys

Advantages: Goodnight out, frre prizes and special offers
Disadvantages: saturdays be early as queues are expected

...The Roundhouse Location:- Pondsforge Leisure Center, 5mins walk from sheffield interchange 10 mins from the railway center, ample parking and easy access from the motorway via the parkway. Also not to mention on the tram network as well. Vicinity:- if you want a night out and you are from outer town then take a look at the many hotels that are situated around Pondsforge, like the Ibis, The Bristol and last but not least The Hilton. altogether, a good spot for those wishing to take a night out with out the worries of driving home. The club:- well for those of you who live in Sheffield the Roundhouse can be located under the foyer of Pondsforge, the big blue neon sign tells you that you are there and the music hits you as soon as you approach the area. Dig out your flares and ra-ra skirts!

Advantages: Brilliant night out
Disadvantages: Sometimes have to queue for a while to get in

...There's been so many new nightclubs opened in Sheffield recently, but they all play the same kind of music - mainly dance or chart. Not The Roundhouse - this is a club with a difference! On Friday nights, think about those shoulderpads, ra-ra skirts and anything else you still own that's a reject from 20 years ago - its the 80's night! It's such a good laugh - all your 'favourite' songs from that era, from Kylie and Jason to Rick Astley and Bananarama. It brings back a lot of memories (if you're not too drunk) and you find that you still know all the words - all those hours spent reading Smash Hits or taping the charts from the radio obviously paid off! There's a really good atmosphere, everyone's very friendly, no posing or pretentiousness, just loads of people having a good laugh and doing the stupid actions to the dances you...

However, after my review of Loveless last year, I was alerted to the rumours of a reform by greenierexyboy. A few months later these rumours were confirmed, along with news of some gigs. Same old, same old from the Muscles from Brussels

..., apparently, never easy if you believe prison films, and this is no different, as he gets into fights and gets a bit of a name for himself as a troublemaker who can fight a bit. Naturally, the film has a good chunk of it set aside for Van Damme's roundhouses, with fight scenes inevitable, given his track record in martial arts. The acting is okay from him. As I have already said, there is nothing particularly special, and this goes not just for him, but from the other cast members as well. Sure, the performances are decent enough, and we can see flashes of Van Damme's rumoured eye for detail as a lead actor. He is rumoured to be a bit arrogant on set, demanding and controlling, but the camera loves him and others sort of follow his lead in the acting stakes. Is it time, Treyarch let go?

Advantages: graphics, gameplay

..., glitches have been found in these maps, which can make the game very difficult, the worst been roundhouse, and Castle, but im sure these will be ironed out ion the future. Graphics: After Modern Warfare, they couldn't really improve a lot, they just seemed to remake the textures of COD 3, and apply these to the maps, making it more than realistic. The movement of characteers is almost perfect, however, just like COD 4, the knifing of players is still not perfect. In conclusion, the game is definately a good sequel to Call of duty 4, however, i think this game was doomed for failure, due to going back to the old school war fighting. So, the simple answer to the question, yes, treyarch should let go and leave the making of call of duty to infinity ward....

MI Gets The John Woo Touch

Advantages: Lots of action, even better with John Woo at the helm.
Disadvantages: Story is a bit weak, a few characters need not be there.

...Slow motion beautifully coreographed action sequences is what comes to my mind when I think of John Woo. This is what I was expecting and I got more. Mission: Impossible 2 (or m:i2 as it seems to be known) is a rollercoaster ride of excitement, tension and lots of "ooos" and "ahhhs". The sequel had a lot to live up to due to the excellent storyline of the first film, and what m:i2 lacks in storyline, it makes up for in action. Going more down the James Bond road, it seems more like one man, rather than a team, but no one could have lead the film better than Tom Cruise, sporting a swanky new hairdo and a wardrobe fit for a king, he roundhouse kicks through the film with ease. Being a producer as an actor in this (as in the first film) he allows himself to do all kinds of stunts that studios would never let an actor do for insurance...

Review of Mission: Impossible 2 (DVD)

It'll kung fu you to death if you don't laugh!

Advantages: Superb voice acting, well animated, laugh a minute

...frantically tries to get in. As you can guess, it all goes a little... bear shaped. (sorry, couldn't resist!) The Film How can I put this... A laugh a minute doesn't do it justice. The acting with the voices is superb, well cast characters, and a whizzer of a storyline. They seem to have a secret ingredient (despite the claims there is none) and have made somethign that is both comic genious for adults and children. Not since shrek have I seen a film that works so beautifully, and leaves the way open for a sequel while finishing well. And with a laugh. The animation is... fantastic. it switches between japanimation and heavy duty computer assistance with ease and not hurting your eyes at all, the movements are realistic (as far as possible. A panda can't exactly do a roundhouse kick in reality!) and its very smoothly done. Filmy bits...

Cyborg Cheese

Advantages: Hilariously bad from start to finish, brimming with 80s style charm
Disadvantages: None whatsoever

..., for example, in a shootout scene at a morgue, a trolley bearing a naked cadaver is tipped up at one end, trapping a gun-toting villain between the corpse and a wall. We clearly see that the corpse is of a grey haired old man, but then the angle changes and suddenly the corpse is of a long haired young woman. In one of the film's many great fight scenes, Bradley aims a roundhouse kick at the camera, which makes a satisfying 'thwack' sound as the blow connects, but then the camera angle changes again to reveal that there is......no-one there. Was the person responsible for continuity on crack? With its ludicrous action scenes, ridiculous plot, hammy acting and overall ramshackle, cheesy feel, Cyborg Cop manages to be both charming and hugely entertaining from start to finish. There are plenty of car chases, gunfights and the like throughout...
