Ideal Safari Opportunity on Garden Route

Advantages: Malaria Free Safari, Personal attention, Friendly, Reasonable Price

...For our honeymoon we decided to explore the Garden Route but also wanted the opportunity to see as much wildlife as possible without having to fly to Krugar or pay over the odds for the other Malaria Free Game lodges such as Shamwari. So when we found the website for this Game lodge it seemed to be the perfect solution. The Game lodge is located on the N2 approx 350km from Cape Town i.e. about 3 or 4 hours drive. But a warm welcome awaits. The reception area links through to the bar and lounge which then leads out to the lawn area which has loungers and a pool. We chose to stay in a Private Chalet which meant that we got our own little round thatched hut to stay in. Effective and flexible software from Route 66

Advantages: Simple to use
Disadvantages: No facility to enter own points of interest, adding more maps costs a bit

...I recieved Route 66 Navigate Britain 2004 bundled with a recent purchase of a PDA with built in GPS capabilities. I chose the bundle with Route 66 as it was the cheapest available. Initially skeptical due to the lower- priced software, I would encourage other potential buyers to ignore such stirirngs in your conscious as the software holds its own quite well. It doesn't have many fancy embellishments- you can't add your own points of interest, for example- but it does have all the basic functions that you might need from any PDA- based navigation software: It's easy to set the software up to guide you to your destination, and it automatically uses your current position as a starting point. In 'Navigate' mode, simply add one or more waypoints either by tapping on the map with your stylus, searching for an address in Route 66's...

American invasion of Cornwall

Advantages: Good food, excellent prices, electrifying atmosphere.

...Route 38 is an American themed restaurant and is located at Trerulefoot, Saltash, Cornwall. The restaurant is situated 15 minutes from Plymouth after the Tamar Bridge heading towards Liskeard on the A38. Route 38 was opened on March the 9th 2005 and is fully licensed and air conditioned. Route 61

Advantages: Clean buses, kneeling buses

...I know it should be route 66 but I promise you that route 61 is far more interesting a journey. So many problems have occured on this particular route that it has become a standing joke between my friends. As I don't drive (Keep putting learning as my new years resolution and then finding excuses not to) I rely on lifts from hubby and public transport. My most used route is the number 61 as it goes from the end of my road to within a short walk of most of my friends. This particular route is run by Arriva. The route it takes is long, drawn out and to be honest comletely ridiculous. A simple 10 min journey to one of my friends takes a staggering 56 mins on this bus (I know if I want speed I should get a taxi) and yes I have timed it! That time is on a traffic free day and without any of the problems that normally occur...

Disadvantages: trains that split, unhelpful staff, long journeys, pricier than some.

...I don't drive, and I'm a student in London, so I use the train a LOT. Thames Trains are responsible for trains between London Paddington and Worcester / Leamington Spa (where?), which I use on a fairly regular basis to go 'home'. I also use Thames between London and Reading. Firstly I should just note the alternatives to Thames on this specific route from London to the West Midlands. There's Silverlink, aka the trains of Satan, which go from Euston to Birmingham New Street. I try to avoid them like the plague - just look at the ciao ops on that company for more infomation on WHY. There's the overpriced Virgin trains, which run on the same line as Silverlink but at twice the speed and are always being cancelled. Then there's Chiltern trains from Marylebone to Birmingham and onto Stourbridge / Kidderminster. They would be great, but...

...Route 66 (www.66.com) offer many flavours of satnav depending on your hardware. There are kits for PocketsPCs and Symbian smartphones (Nokia, Sony Ericsson) with maps covering just Britain or Europe. Mobile Britain 2006 is their latest offering for the Sony Ericsson P910 - as the title suggests the map included in this version is mainland Britain. The cd only version costs just over £100, whilst the version with a supplier GPS receiver costs approx £200. The cd version arrives in a strong plastic CD case that contains the installation cd and license key. The manual is on the cd. The 30 page manual is very basic, though explains simply how to install the program onto your phone, how to pair the software to a GPS receiver, how to receive traffic info, and a guide on how to use the satnav features.
