I (Roxy) Love it!

Advantages: Smells great (to me), can be found cheaply

...It's been a while since I have worn perfume on a regular basis, I've had a few mishaps with bottles of my old favourite (Hugo Woman) and decided that it was too much hassle and money to replace them after they leaked/broke the sprayer, etc. But when I was in TK Maxx buying a last-minute present on Christmas Eve, I spotted a bottle of this and thought I'd give it a try. It as only £6.99 and as I have a lot of Roxy clothes and like their outdoorsy, free spirited image, thought maybe it would be a scent that I would appreciate too. The purfume comes in a frosted glass bottle, which appears very pale blue but that is in fact the colour of the perfume, with a shiny silver lid. Fairly plain compared with some of the beautiful bottles out there, but it definitely wont look ugly on your dressing table. I have the 30ml size, there is also...

The Definitive Best Of Roxy

Advantages: Of many greatest hits of albums for Roxy this is the best
Disadvantages: None

...This was the first of the Greatest Hits compilations which Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music produced. When originally released it contained 20 tracks as a double album but although each side of the LP had 5 tracks the running time was as little as 16-17 minutes for a couple of sides. The later version of their greatest hits (the CD ‘More Than This’ released in 1995) had a longer total running time on a single CD. Plus ca change. For me this album better defines the essence of good Roxy Music and, ergo, good Bryan Ferry. Don’t get me wrong I like Bryan Ferry as a solo artist but for innovation and inventiveness he was at his best when with the musical influences of Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay. ...For some reason there seems to be two menus for the same cinema anyway Hollinwood Roxy is the same as The Oldham Roxy. The roxy isn't in the middle of nowhere infact it's on a very main road, near the motorway aswell, but its in the small town of Oldham, and is pretty much a local sort of cinema. Prices vary, it will go from about £3 in the morning to £4 at night. Inside food is reasonable, i buy a small popcorn, small slushy and that about £4.50. I would be lying if i didn't say i'd tried to get into a 15 when i was below the age, but i didn't get in they unlike some cinemas are very strict about it so theres no point trying! Queues can sometimes be quite long but the staff deal with people quickly so you aren't waiting long. There is 2 main huge screens which are used for the latest box office hits and smaller ones...

Bikini Perfect, Power not so Perfect!

...The phillips Bikini Perfect is a four piece rechargable bikini trimmer. It comes boxed with the trimmer, epilator head, trimmer head with comb attatchment and the shaver head (like a lady shave but tiny!), there is also a little cleaning brush included, mains charger and instruction manual. They cost around £25-£30. The Bikini Perfect needs a ten hour charge before its first use and the charger plugs into the bottom of the trimmer. There is an indicator light on the charger but not on the trimmer so I find myself double and triple checking that the charger is plugged in properly, but maybe thats just me being over-cautious! I've had this trimmer for around six months now and use it a few times a month but not for excessive amounts of time, maybe five to ten minutes each use and I have to say that I am dissapointed...

...After having a short dalliance with waxing, and then spending my nights trying to release in growing hairs, I decided to return to shaving. Then by chance I completed a survey for the Quattro for Women Bikini, and immediately thought to myself 'I've got to get me one of those'. Then I saw them in Tesco on a promotional introductory offer at half price (the full price being £8.99), so I snapped one up immediately. And after giving it a thorough testing, these are my thoughts. The razor itself is pretty much a standard razor these days, with four blades and a lubricating strip which has an Aloe and Duo-Vitamine complex, which helps to keep your skin soft and silky, despite having four blades dragged across it. It takes Quattro refill blades, which are a little expensive at close to £5 for 3, but this is pretty much standard for blades now...

...I already owned a bikini trimmer but I forgot to take it with me when I came to university. First port of call was Argos where I noticed the Philips Bikini Perfect. I was going to go for a Remington at £15 but with Philips, I got an extra 2 attachments for £24.99. Also, I thought the little bit extra would probably give a closer shave. Unfortunately, it was out of stock at my local Argos so I went to Boots instead where it was the same price. The box is a rather nice elongated knicker shape. It clearly shows the actual shaver and attachments so you can see that the shaver is a silverfish colour rather than the tacky gold colour it seems to be in the catalogue. Bikini Carwash Company - Absolute genius.

Advantages: Girls in bikinis, or not, washing not very dirty cars.

...Ha ha! What can I say! This film is rubbish! I bought a copy of it a couple of years ago for about two quid and everyone always says, "Why have you got a film called 'The Bikini Carwash Company'?" It's about a young guy called Jack McGowan (played by Joe Dusic) who comes across to L.A. to run his uncles car wash business. He bumps into the skimpily clad Melissa Reese (played by Kristi Ducati) on the beach after taking a few wrong turns looking for his uncles carwash. Melissa, being somewhat of the entrepreneur, manages to talk Jack into letting her run the business for a cut of the money. Bikini Zombie Slayers...don't judge a book (or game) by its cover
