ROY KEANE - THE PLAYING YEARS
Advantages: Nice insight into the controversial aspects to Roy's playing career
Disadvantages: Doesn't cover his time at Celtic, or any of his managerial work
...I have to admit that when my beloved Ipswich Town FC appointed Roy Keane as manger a couple of months ago I was a little sceptical. Most of what I knew about Roy came from the press and news coverage, most of it negative, which seemed to follow him around. Determined to give the latest bastion of the Ipswich hot seat a fair crack of the whip I set about finding out a little more about the man behind the hype and headlines. My Brother recommended his autobiography which he?d penned in 2002 with the help of journalist Eamon Dunphy, so I gave it a read.
Roy Maurice Keane was born in Cork, Ireland in the summer of 1971, the fourth of five children. He was a mediocre performer at school, preferring to be out kicking a ball around than in a class studying. A smattering of junior Irish clubs came calling, most notably Rockmount. He...

Bakers...Dogs Best Friend
Advantages: Full of Vitamins and Nutrients your dog require
Disadvantages: None at all
...I first tried my dog on Bakers Complete around four years ago and it has made my dog extremely happy and give him the ability to have a slightly normal life.
Sandy was a resuce dog who was a cruelty case at the local dogs home and i rescued him when he was 6 months old. Not realising he was ill at the time, he was diagnosed with a chronic pancreatic insufficiency by the vet which means he is unable to digest his food properly. This condition is something common in German Shepherds and i was told that sometimes there is a possibility that it can rectify itself or they may have to live with it for the remainder of their life.
He was put on a diet of dried food and always has to have enzymes on his food which helps him digest it a little more and it does work. The food the vets supplied me with cost around £25 per week plus his...

Rob Roy: Of Valor and Honor
Advantages: Strong performances by a talented cast
Disadvantages: A bit more gratuitous violence than you'd want young children to witness
...Note: Some plot details are disclosed in this opinion.
Based on the novel by Sir Walter Scott, Rob Roy is the kind of movie that you just almost have to like. With a script that is largely unmarred by shades of moral gray, good is clearly good, evil is clearly evil, marital love and fidelity triumph over all challenges, and justice prevails at the end of the day. It is, in a word, wholesome.
Toss in a healthy dose of standing stones, Highland lochs, and good Scottish scenery in general, and--well, you just about have to like this movie. At least, Himself and I do. We own a VHS copy, and when we crave escape to the Highlands or exposure to political and personal honor (try to find either these days), we pull out Rob Roy for uplifting dose of courage and valor--plus a wee bit or romance.
During its best moments, this film makes...

The Bakers Oven
Advantages: Freshly Baked Food On The Premises.
Disadvantages: Slightly More Expensive Than Some Of Their Competitors.
...Baker's Oven are a chain of High Street Bakery Shops which you may or may not be familiar with. They are particularly prominent in the South of England, East Anglia, and the Midlands, but having said that they have been present in Sheffield where I live for many years.
A BIT OF BACKGROUND
Today Bakers Oven are a part of Greggs PLC who acquired the company in 1994 as a part of their extensive expansion plans and in particular as a way of penetrating new Geographical regions of the UK.
Bakers Oven itself was originally owned and operated by Allied Bakeries although this was also an amalgamation of several smaller local Bakery companies that Allied Bakeries had acquired over the years. These acquisitions led to three distinctive regional divisions of Allied Bakeries being formed in Scotland, through its purchase of a local Bakery...

Roy the Romantic
Advantages: One of the greatest voices - and 41 tracks
Disadvantages: Lack of date information for tracks [see text]
...? If not, this will surprise you, though personally I'm not over-keen on these two songs and would much rather hear him on his own material.
In fact, this collection is so diverse that I find myself wondering how appropriate the title 'Love Songs' is. Especially when it includes his versions of 'Land of 1000 Dances' and 'Run Baby Run'. Roy Orbison sings Wilson Pickett and the Newbeats? Well, yes - and very well too. But love songs? Er, let's not split hairs.
What I will register a (little) whinge about is the packaging. Several of these recordings are listed in the booklet as being © 1997 or 2000. Are they all remixes? All right, I know that a lot of people who buy love song compilations may not be unduly bothered about such niceties, but Roy died in 1988 and I for one would have appreciated knowing the date they were...

You'd be barking to buy Bakers
Advantages: Cheaper alternative
Disadvantages: Poor quality, high in additives,
...Our puppy has just turned 6 months old, and when we first brought her home from the breeder, we were advised to leave her own Pedigree Chum Puppy Complete, as this is what she had been eating whilst with the rest of the litter. We did this until about 8 weeks ago when we noticed that there were many other brands which promised the same results as Pedigree but for considerably less money. We chose Bakers Complete by Purina for puppies/junior dogs up to 24 months old, mainly because it was more affordable but also because it was a brand name that we were aware of. There was only 1 flavour available in the 1kg box (cereal box size), and that was Beef and Vegetable, which cost £2.40 or 2 boxes for £4 at our local pet supply store.
The packaging does stand out from the competition. It is a vibrant blue box with a cute looking dog...

My Dogs A Bakers Dog is Yours ?????
Advantages: A complete food that contains all the nutrition she needs in one bowl
Disadvantages: None that I have found as yet.
...the types of dry dog food available that I would try her with Bakers complete. It sounded nutritionally good but of course that big question is would she eat it. ???
Bakers complete is made by Purina and is available from Supermarkets and pet shops and is sold in various sizes from 1.5kg boxes and 3kg, 5kg, 6kg & 15kg bags
There was also a good selection of different flavours to choose from which were
Beef and Country Vegetables
Chicken and country vegetables
Lamb Rice and select vegetables
Smokey bacon and Liver with select vegetables
Rabbit and Duck medoly with select vegetables
They also make foods suitable for dogs with sensitive stomachs, senior in age and for those that need to lose some weight.
Knowing Holly is a big beef fan I thought we would try Beef and Country Vegetables first.
I checked the ingredients and it...

FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Ted Baker Goes On An Adventure!
Advantages: Great scent, lots of products, did not affect my sensitive skin, great price.
Disadvantages: None.
...I received this gift set at Christmas and I have recently began to use all four products together to try and get a feel for them before I began my review.
There are four products held within a clear zip-up bag and they are; body wash, body spray, body scrub & body soufflé.
I have used each product for about 2 weeks now and I have kind of used them in conjunction with each other to try and increase the gorgeous scents and to see how they work together as a set. I still have some of everything left and I have been using most of the products at least once a day, if not twice.
Ted Baker Heavenly Body Wash: This comes in a small bottle with a press down lid which flips up a spout and then you can just tip the bottle and wait for some of the liquid to be released. I use this with a bath puff and I find that it gives a great amount...

Baker's Complete?
Advantages: At last, someone famous who doesn't find themselves brilliant
Disadvantages: Rather stiff and formal in tone
...Along with many of my generation, Tom Baker was "my" Doctor Who. By this, I mean that he was the first Doctor I knew about and will always be the person I first think of as playing the role, despite Christopher Ecclestone's best efforts recently. Whilst those slightly older than I may recall William Hartnell and Jon Pertwee, they were before my time and I didn't enjoy anyone's roles as the Doctor as much after Tom Baker as I did his.
I may not be alone in this remembrance of Tom Baker's Doctor Who, either. After all, he played the Doctor for a lot longer than anyone else did, thereby giving him access to a wider audience than those before or since. Plus, he was playing the role at a time when the series was really rather popular and so had a potentially larger audience than many.
What I'd never really stopped to wonder was what Tom...
