Royal Station Hotel Newcastle - Excellent Location and Easy Links
Advantages: Location, Clean
Disadvantages: Small rooms
...the summer which is excellent value. My friend was able to get straight off the train and literally was in the hotel after a minutes walk. Also nearby is a Metro station, a regular train service running around the city, meaning its easy to get around the city from here as well as the Bus Station outside the Train Station from which you can visit the glorious Quayside area in a matter of minutes or go 15...

The Royal Seabank - Central and Pleasant Hotel
Advantages: large rooms, pleasant decor downstairs, most staff lovely, value for money, food
Disadvantages: some rude staff, rooms needing refurbished
...coach trips to Blackpool. At the time of booking, we had no hotel choice as there was only one suitable room available within all of their hotels. My parents stayed at this hotel 2 weeks prior to our visit and thankfully all was well with it. We stayed at this hotel Monday - Friday (27th of Feb - 2nd March). This time of year is considered to be 'out of season'.
