Cherry mousse from Cartier - yummy!
Advantages: Unique, delicate, collectibe bottle, not too fruity
Disadvantages: Expensive, does not last long
...Launch date: 2006
Available: stores, online
Recommended age group: 20 - 45
Top Notes: frosted cherry, pink pepper and bergamot
Middle Notes: jasmine, violet and freesia
Base Notes: amber, tonka bean
As I'm known for loving all things cherry by family, I'm getting a bottle of Delices de Cartier as a Christmas present. I've sampled it before so here's the result.
The bottle
The beautiful, collectible cut glass bottle was inspired by the designer house's own 1920's jewellery range. A round vibrant red cherry shape bottle is every true collector's must have item. The lid is clear cut class in petal shaped and it has an metal ring around its neck that has Delices de Cartier engraved in it. The brilliant white box is adorned with a deep red 'C'.
The fragrance
The first fruity floral fragrance from Cartier...

No Rudolph days for me!!
Advantages: too many for here - read on....
Disadvantages: not cheap - odd smell
..., sniffign and sneezing had taken its toll. My nose looked awful - making Rudolph look anaemic!!! Well you know when you put normal moisturiser on your nose it stings like hell doens't it? Well, this was so soothing I could have cried with relief, I smothered my nose and lips one night and snuggled into bed. My partner rolled over and told me I smelled funny but hey who cares? The next day it had work so miraculously - my nose was soft, smooth, hardly a dry bit in sight and no longer hurting. So we may not be able to find a cure for a common cold but Elizabeth Arden keeps it bearable!...

FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Thieves, Cosmetic Surgery, and Santa Claus
Advantages: big names give good performances despite the material, "canon" characters reappear
Disadvantages: horribly executed animation, dubious storyline, shoddy song writing
...All too often after watching a sequel, one realises the only thing in the minds of the creators was not quality, but the ker-ching of the till as people pay in the money. Every now and again, we are genuinely surprised by a sequel that is every bit as good to the original, so again and again, we trot off to pay our pennies to watch yet another sequel, hoping that this time, it is as good as we remembered the original. Now, the original Rankin Bass production of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is considered a modern classic of stop animation cinematography. It has a loyal following of viewers who join in the annual Yuletide viewing, singing along to Burl Ives as Sam the Snowman singing "It's a Holly Jolly Christmas" , laughing at Bumble and Yukon Cornelius as they prospect for peppermint, and cheer on Rudolph and Hermey the elf, as they...

Predatory big cat close to your skin
Advantages: a sumptuous scent
Disadvantages: but very expensive
...night long she was idolised by men. But..., according to a remorseful confession the returned owner of apartment and bottle convicted her of theft. Instead of getting sentenced to be whipped and cut off the right arm (the well-deserved punishment for thieves) she was condemned to use it up.
Well, I don‘t want to put you on the rack anylonger but reveal the secret about the mysterious black cat:
It‘s name is Panthére de Cartier.
First time offered in the year 1987 created by the probably most famous clocks, jewelry and perfume designer from Paris.
Everything else lies and lay in the darkness. Even after the most intensive Google enquiry.
But that‘s for sure, this panther is certainly one of the nobles, rares and expensives ones.
I couldn‘t find out the price of the enchanting bottle framed by two panthers...

Eau, I smell so fresh!
Advantages: Rounder, more intense than Eau de Cartier
Disadvantages: May be too intense for some
...Launched: 2002
Group: woody aromatic
:: Introduction ::
Eau de Cartier Concentree - Cartier's addition to its Eau de Cartier launched in 2001 - isn't just simply a concentrated version of Eau de Cartier. Although there are similarities between the two eau de toilettes, different notes are emphasised in their composition which gives an altogether unique feel to both colognes.
:: The packaging ::
The bottle only differs in colour from the original Eau de Cartier the outer box holding it is still white and grey. The clear cylindrical glass has a green tint and nozzle on the top. As there's no cap, the bottle opens by turning the disc underneath the nozzle downwards. To lock the nozzle, turn the disc upwards. This unusual opening mechanism gives a nice elegant touch to the design. No fiddling with or losing the cap, the bottle...

Rudolph Never Existed!
Advantages: Family get together
Disadvantages: True meaning is missing.
...Can you believe it, Rudolph is a fraud! Apparently he never existed, the lies some people spread is sickening. I've already wrote to Santy about it.
My father, Jonny555 senior, thinks the idea of Santa is a bad thing to start on children. He says that if a child is told that a person as good as Santa doesn't exist then what's to stop them thinking God doesn't exist? To be honest I have to agree with him. For starters it's cruel when the inevitable has to happen and the child finds out that his hero is nothing more than a lie. Thanks to older school bullies that happens sooner rather than later (broke my heart the b*****ds).
Yeah it's great getting to watch their faces light up every time they hear his name and the smiles on their faces at all the prezzies under the tree when they get up at 6 o clock in the morning (I used...

Delices........ious !!!
Advantages: fabulous and long lasting
Disadvantages: none
...written on it .
This is the information for Delices De Cartier which is displayed on the above mentioned website .
" A supremely feminine fragrance . A timeless blend of distinctive fruits like iced cherry and zesty bergamot blended with the spice of pink pepper , violet , jasmine and freesia , finished with warm amber , musk and sandalwood ."
I bought the 30ml EDT spray ( Rrp £29 ) for £19.99 .
When it arrived I opened the box just to reassure myself that the lid was indeed present ( an important part of the whole if you are planning on displaying it ) !
Despite my determination to simply inspect it and then put it in the cupboard along with all of the others , I found myself rolling the bottle between my hands .
The shape is extremely sensual ? round but with a few soft inset waves which ripple down to the base .
It's smooth...

Fly High With Santos
Advantages: Quality Persistence Distinctive
Disadvantages: Some Men Do Not Like It
...Santos de Cartier was introduced in 1981 and named in honour of Alberto Santos Dumont a pioneer in aviation. Considered by many to be the true father of flight, Dumont was a friend of Louis Cartier and it was at his friends request that Louis invented the wristwatch, so that he could keep his hands on the controls while checking the time.
Santos comes in a very smart silver coloured box and the bottle is a dark brown glass with silvered mountings.Altogether very smart and chic.
The fragrance is a blend of lavender, basil, bergamot, nutmeg, cumin, juniper, sandalwood, cedar wood, patchouli and vetiver all pretty much standard ingredients for a mans fragrance but notable for the number used and the skill with which they are combined. This is a very distinctive fragrance, as you would expect from Cartier, in my opinion much more...
