...EA Sports' Rugby 2001 is an excellent game. It is officially licensed for the Rugby World Cup, and includes most international teams. Competitions include RWC, Calcutta Cup, Bledisloe Cup, Tri-Nations and more. The graphics are excellent. Even on computers with lesser graphics capabilities, the game looks smooth and realistic. However there is a lack of detail; both on the pitch and off it. For example, the crowd look like a flat piece of board; and the team uniforms are not correct. Playability wise, this game is pretty good. All set plays (scrums, line outs, rucks & mauls) have automatic tactic selection features. However manoevres can get very messy, especially on a keyboard. Grand Union

Advantages: lovely staff, many facilities, spacious rooms
Disadvantages: expensive

...For Rugby fans there has always been a real lack of good, realistic, enjoyable games. I enjoy both Rugby Union and Football. I am a Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) fan and unfortunately this game does not do for Rugby simulation what that does for football. Advantages: It's brave and a good introduction to Erasure

EA Sports Bringing Rugby To The PS2

Advantages: Good Graphics, Training option is very good, as is the multiplayer
Disadvantages: Game play isnt as good as it could have been. Some computer teams are far too hard to play.
