THE FANTASTIC 'REEBOK I RUN TREADMILL'

Advantages: QUALITY, VALUE FOR MONEY, COMPACT.
Disadvantages: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

...INTRO After the sudden death of my 7 year old Pro-form treadmill it was time to start looking for something to replace it with but being somewhat out of pocket (probably due to credit crunch/petrol prices) my budget was under £400. I must say I didn't think that I'd be able to get much treadmill for my money. FINDING A TREADMILL I started my searching on the Internet with a firm called fitness-superstore http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk, which has a great range of low priced treadmills and I soon became zapped by the latest designs and specifications of the new range of treadmill on the market. As I set my budget at under £400 this helped me to narrow my searching and leave me with 3 possible treadmills that met my needs, the makes were Pro-form, Weslo, Reebok. Will you be running to buy it?

Advantages: Leaves feet feeling soft
Disadvantages: doesnt get rid of hard skin

...My feet have taken a real hammering lately, mainly from wearing impractical shoes! When I was last in Lush, I picked up a bar of their Running to the embassy foot scrub in the hope that it would sort them out a bit, and hopefully get rid of some of the horrible dry skin I have on my heels. Running to the embassy is described by Lush as a foot scrub, moisturiser and conditioner. It comes in a solid block rather than a liquid or cream and is pale green in colour (despite looking a muddy brown in that picture Ciao have provided!). I think the first thing that you notice about this product is its smell. It's mainly a strong minty smell, as this contains both peppermint and spearmint oil. Run Lola Run

Advantages: Enjoyable action, decent violence, gore and Arnie one-liners.
Disadvantages: Missing the intelligence of the source novel making it fairly one-dimesional.

Advantages: Original, fast-paced storytelling, a visceral thrill.
Disadvantages: Hard to work out the thinking behind the action.

...I would just like to write a review on running for charity, although it is something that I may actually have covered in part in some of my previous reviews in some descriptions. However, back to the subject in hand. Advantages: 1. You get fit, as you have to train in order to complete the final run (this is usually by way of a marathon). 2. You get to meet like minded people, although they may not all be running for your own charity (or they may not even be running for charity!). 3. You get a feeling of purpose and a sense of goodness, as you are doing something to not only help yourself but also to benefit others in some way. Disadvantages: 1. i -run...........your better off with an i-pod :

Advantages: Cheap, easy to store, basic functionality
Disadvantages: Not sturdy, too basic, not quick enough!

...this piece of kit, as anybody who is slightly above average in their running would not be serviced well from this machine. In particular, the machine would be fairly useless for club/elite athletes running shorter long distance races (800m, 1500m, 3000m) because the speed would be too low. The machine is geared towards longer distances and would have enough basic speed for the average marathon trainer or someone looking to lose weight/build up basic stamina. Just to give you a clearer picture. I am a regular gym goer but definitely not a massive fan of running. In my training (20minute warm up) I would run between 12 and 14 km/h which is the top end of this machine! ...I would just like to offer some thoughts on running, after spending sme time doing it in training for the local half marathon. One of the good things about running is that it actually not only gets you out of the house, but believe it or not actually gets you fit at the same time! It is about one of the only things that helps you to get fit, that doesn't cost a single penny to do! OK, so you have to buy a decent pair of running shoes along with some decent kit - but as an intial outlay, that is nothing compared to the fun that can be had in this hobby. This is also something that can be done with a friend, as you can encourage one another as you go along. Or, you could also always join a running club and meet new like mminded friends at the same time as getting fit (OK, fitter!). However, there are many downsides to running...

The Running Man

Advantages: great entertaining movie

...show is The Running Man, which is hosted by Damon Killian, (played by Richard Dawson), this show is a simple format, set a criminal (or a 'runner') loose on the derelict streets of old LA and then send several 'Stalkers' to kill them.. much to the pleasure of the watching audience, who enjoy betting on who will survive. Meanwhile, whilst on patrol, a helicopter gunship pilot, Ben Richards, (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger), refuses an order to open fire on unarmed civilians during a food riot and is reprimanded, being framed for mass murder and sent to prison, being called by the media 'the butcher of Bakersfield'. After several month in a high security prison, where they have explosives strapped to their necks to stop them escaping, he and some other manage to escape. Advantages: Builds up stamina, confidence, and can generally keep you busy
