THE FANTASTIC 'REEBOK I RUN TREADMILL'

Advantages: QUALITY, VALUE FOR MONEY, COMPACT.
Disadvantages: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

...INTRO After the sudden death of my 7 year old Pro-form treadmill it was time to start looking for something to replace it with but being somewhat out of pocket (probably due to credit crunch/petrol prices) my budget was under £400. I must say I didn't think that I'd be able to get much treadmill for my money. FINDING A TREADMILL I started my searching on the Internet with a firm called fitness-superstore http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk, which has a great range of low priced treadmills and I soon became zapped by the latest designs and specifications of the new range of treadmill on the market. As I set my budget at under £400 this helped me to narrow my searching and leave me with 3 possible treadmills that met my needs, the makes were Pro-form, Weslo, Reebok. Run Lola Run

Advantages: Enjoyable action, decent violence, gore and Arnie one-liners.
Disadvantages: Missing the intelligence of the source novel making it fairly one-dimesional.

...-erotic machismo (just look at the tight leotards) and Arnie kicking arse against an assortment of big-guys is all present and correct. Indeed, the range of inventive stalkers on show gives The Running Man a distinct edge. From the ice-hockey stick wielding Sub-Zero, to the chainsaw wielding Buzzsaw, to Jesse Ventura's fantastic hairpiece as Captain Freedom; it makes for some enthralling computer game styled encounters which often end in grizzly fashion followed by a timeless Arnie one-liner. Barbed wire neck-breakage ("what a pain in the neck") and impalement on spikes are the order of the day here and the action is plentiful, frantic and fun throughout. Advantages: Cheap, easy to store, basic functionality

...Ok I thought I would write a review about the Reebok I Run +, mainly because I wanted to highlight the difference between this runner compared to the more expensive models out there. The last runner I reviewed was the Horizon Elite 507 which came in at a touch over £1000. This is an expensive treadmill, but it came with everything you need from a running machine. The Reebok I Run + is considerably cheaper, but as the old saying goes, ?You get what you pay for?, in this case, a running machine that does half a job. Let me explain. Advantages: Original, fast-paced storytelling, a visceral thrill.
Disadvantages: Hard to work out the thinking behind the action.

...I would just like to write a review on running for charity, although it is something that I may actually have covered in part in some of my previous reviews in some descriptions. However, back to the subject in hand. Advantages: 1. You get fit, as you have to train in order to complete the final run (this is usually by way of a marathon). 2. You get to meet like minded people, although they may not all be running for your own charity (or they may not even be running for charity!). 3. You get a feeling of purpose and a sense of goodness, as you are doing something to not only help yourself but also to benefit others in some way. Disadvantages: 1. The bitch is back! (Spike: Expanded Edition - Elvis Costello)

Advantages: Smooth,more chilled than his other albums with a much slower pace.
Disadvantages: It took so long getting to us!

...Spike (1989) was well worth the wait, as there was nearly a two year gap between this album and Blood & Chocolate. But when I first put this album in my tape player (showing my age now), and I heard the first song ''This Town'' with lyrics like 'everybody in this town thinks your a bastard'; I sighed a hugh sigh of relief. Costello was back with more of those addictive comments of society that I love more than chocolate. The album uncharacteristically takes a slower pace with the second song "Let him dangle", a lazy jeering song with seriously dark undertones. Then it slows down even more with the third song (and my favourite) "Deep dark truthful mirror", the piano and trumpets in this are really spectacular in a relaxed easy way. ...Spike Dudley ; Commonly referred to as " Little " Spike Dudley - and rightly so as they are clearly mentioning his size in that statement, the reason? he is around 5'5 and 150 pounds (or as the commentators say " a buck 50 ") and so he does not have the look of a wrestler nor does he have the strength but he sure has the athleticism and heart of a wrestler. He does moves which quite frankly I at least; find hard to believe - such as where he is thrown around like a rag doll. Such as, when he has come into the WWF I have seen him feud with people such as Bubba Ray and D-Von who are his " half brothers " a.k.a The Dudley Boyz who are table driven maniacs who like to put Spike through the wood at unbelievable velocity. Advantages: It's a fast-paced, exciting, inventive masterpiece

...I only came across Run Lola Run because my favourite episode of The Simpsons, Trilogy Of Errors, contained an homage to this film. You may have seen it; it's the one where they show one day from the perspective of each family member. Lisa is late for her school science fair, so she runs down the street to some techno background music. I subsequently learned that that scene is based on Lola Rennt (or Run Lola Run), a German film from 1998, starring Franka Potente. The film tells the story of red-haired Lola, who has just 20 minutes in which to find 100,000 Deutschmarks. Her boyfriend, Manni (played by Moritz Bleibtreu) needs the money by 12 o'clock or he will be killed by a gangster after a transport mix-up caused him to leave a bag of money on the train. ...I would just like to offer some thoughts on running, after spending sme time doing it in training for the local half marathon. One of the good things about running is that it actually not only gets you out of the house, but believe it or not actually gets you fit at the same time! It is about one of the only things that helps you to get fit, that doesn't cost a single penny to do! OK, so you have to buy a decent pair of running shoes along with some decent kit - but as an intial outlay, that is nothing compared to the fun that can be had in this hobby. This is also something that can be done with a friend, as you can encourage one another as you go along. Or, you could also always join a running club and meet new like mminded friends at the same time as getting fit (OK, fitter!). However, there are many downsides to running...
