...I have always enjoyed watching stand up and happily spend many evenings with the other half, falling asleep giggling to something silly. My favourite comedians include, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Jim Davidson, Lee Evans and Tim Minchin. While browsing through HMV a few weeks ago, making a few usual impulse buys in the hope of finding something good, I spotted Russell Howard's "Live" DVD. The name rang a bell and I briefly remembered seeing a 2 minute clip of Russell on youtube and finding it funny. So the DVD was brought for 9.99. If you have never seen Russell Howard before or seen any of his material, I can only describe him as being hysterically funny with a boyish charm. Quite possibly the funniest comedian around.

Advantages: Absolutely pant-wettingly hilarious.
Disadvantages: not long enough! Only runs for about an hour.

...Russell Howard is a very talented 29-year old from Bristol. Aswell as being exceptionally cute, he is, as quoted above, possibly the funniest comedian. Everything that he says is clever, witty, and makes an audience of all ages laugh. Unlike most comedians, Russell Howard has the ability to appeal to teenagers, whilst also comically criticising them. His innane ability to laugh at himself and draw on insane personal experiences is what makes it worth watching. For example, at one point he mentions how he went downhill when seperated from a girlfriend. Advantages: Hilarious comedy, cheeky and well delivered comedy style, looks and sounds great
Disadvantages: You go away wanting more

...Ever heard a friend asking if you saw Mock the Week and what that bloke said?...no not Frankie Boyle. No not the bald one. No not the presenter. The other one. ...One of my friends let me/forced me to borrow this DVD of this 'great new comic' and ordered me to watch the DVD. That was about 2 months ago...when he came over my house for my birthday on Saturday, he asked 'so, have you watched it yet?'. No, I hadn't - actually it was still in my boot from when he had given it to me. So we (well he) decided we were going to watch it there and then - determined to prove a point that this guy was funny.
