Logitech does it again with the S100s

Advantages: Crisp, Clear sound, Nice blue power LED
Disadvantages: Small size does limit bass depth, Need mains power

...Logitech have a history of doing things right. From their first set of speakers many years ago (which I believe I owned) to models such as the huge, recent surround sound systems currently available, Logitech has always offered unprecendented quality and competitive pricing. The S100s came in a rather inconspicuous brown box, packed in nice and neatly, and of course sealed with plastic bags. Once out the box, you can immediately see the value you are getting. I paid £7.99 for my set, and in this day and age for that you either get two McDonald's meals, a cinema ticket, or these babies. I know which one I would pick! The blue LED power indicator was the first thing that struck me as a great touch. The headphone socket shows that Logitech is thinking about functionality aswell as just looks, and the nice long cables ensure...

Disadvantages: More of a novelty

...took the added liberty of photographing moving cars to test shutter speed. This was pretty damn good and the cars, although moving fairly fast, were still clear and defined. A good start. Design. A nice metal finish THROUGHOUT the product, and I mean throughout, everything was in stainless steel, right down to the screws, for a heavy, but quality inducing appearance. The camera lens, as always appeared to jut out (almost a trademark with casio), and so this was nothing to worry about. Features: Packed with an array of features, the S100 has some rather bizarre ones at that: Business Shot function:: Apparently compensates for photos which you mistakenly (or otherwise) take at an angle and captures as if taken straight ahead... As well as the usual USB support, and another added slideshow function which can be used while the camera...

...The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too. The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed. There are 14 preset scenes to choose from, each setting the camera to its optimum settings for the given scenario, but on top of this, the camera can be used...

Toshiba NB100

Advantages: Nice look, good battery life.
Disadvantages: Too small.

...actually pretty impressive. Function The notebook works quite well with wireless internet and doesn't cut off often as I have found with wi-fi on some other laptops. It also has an impressive battery life, in a recent car journey, I found it lasted about 3 and 3/4 hours, easily enough time for all of the film I was watching as well as some of another. It is available in two versions, Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP Home., but the Linux has 512Mb of RAM and an 80Gb hard disk, the Windows one has 1Gb of RAM and a 120Gb drive. I personally own the windows version, since I know more about the operating system and prefer the high memory levels. The rest of it's specifications are pretty average for a note book and it runs as such. Overall The Toshiba NB100 is great if you're japanese and/or believe things should be made...
