Advantages: Quality, very large drum capacity, load sensing for water saving.
Disadvantages: Touch sensitive buttons can trigger if you brush past them.

...a Bosch machine which is identical to the Seimens other than some buttons. I primarily got the Siemens because of the £525 cost (pricematched by John Lewis to Comet) and 5 year parts /labour warranty. This equates to just over £100 per year and I seriously doubt it will conk out after 5 years either. There is a model with 1600 spin WM16s383 but don't think it justifies the higher cost for 200 extra rpm. Also its more wear and tear on the bearings....

Seat Ibiza 1.4 Cool/S

Advantages: Looks Good, Quite Quick, Interior Screen
Disadvantages: Seat Dealerships and Garages

...car is a three door model so like all 3 doors getting in the back isn't easy, but there's electric windows and mirrors. It's good to drive and obviously it's only a 1.4 so won't ghost past Ferraris but it's fast enough for younger drivers (insurance group 3 and 4) MPG is good especially on long runs I got 47mpg going to Gloucester from Nottingham last week. I have had some problems. First is dearlership and repair botches, I had a clutch problem which needed replacing, the mechanic at Seat forgot a bottom bolt so it dropped on the gearbox so that needed replacing (no, they refused to pay saying the bolt was put in properly...it's also had a full new exhaust and some minor repairs. All in all it's been a good car and I would recommend it just don't use the seat dealerships a sin my experience they are ill informed dealers....

Advantages: Bagless, powerful, 5 year warranty, great suction.

...This review is for the VW Polo 1.4 TDI S edition on the 52 plate. My experience of the car is that it was very reliable, well built, has excellent fuel economy around 50mpg and a good level of equipment for the class of car. The interior of the car is well made. The quality of the materials used is excellent. Instead of a plasticy looking dash the VW polo has a matt ruberised feel to the dash board and switches. Whereas the rest of the interior is finished in good quality materials. The use of grey materials is a bit excessive and in my opinion the quality of the seat materials could be a little more hardwearing but they are my only gripes with the cabin area. My trusty VW Golf 1.4S

Advantages: Reliable, comfortable, great looks, a pleasure to drive

It's always been very nippy with perfect acceleration for surburbia and city, and cruises fine on the motorway too. It's also practical, with lots of room inside, front and back, and a spacious boot. The overall spec is great, as it's fully loaded with an array of airbags, ESP driving safety system, power-steering, air-conditioning, radio and CD player - everything I need. 2 years ago I did consider trading it in to treat myself to a new car (perhaps only for status of having a brand new car), but changed my mind because I'm not especially attracted or in love with any of the shapes of equivilent class of car. ...I have owned a DC 14 Animal with Hepa filter for 3 years now and bought it for around £300. I have had very little to complain about. We have a west highland white terrier and a small child so wanted to purchse the animal because of its specific performace on animal hair and the lifetime Hepa+ filter for allergies. This product does exactly what it says on the tin, powerfull and no loss of suction. In fact it still amazes me today to see how much dirt and dog hair the vaccum collects. This product has never broken and has been used three times a week over the last 3 years. It is a fairly quiet machine but has become more noisy over time. The product comes with a 14 stair long reach telscopic pole and mini vaccum turbine head. This is an excellent tool for use on stairs as the mini turbine head has its own built in rollers and brushes...

Dyson DC14 Allergy

Advantages: Powerful, doesn't lose suction and a wide range of optional extras
Disadvantages: I can't get on with the angled crevice tool

...I started out with the original Dyson DC01 but I was always convinced mine wasn't as powerful as my mums and didn't remove dog hair very well. After buying a new carpet I bought the DC14 Allergy at a special offer price a couple of weeks ago and I wouldn't be without it now. It almost takes the carpet up with it!! And it loves dog hair. It really does make vaccuuming easy. When using the pipe, it almost takes off but I guess you need to actually be holding it to believe it. The only thing I can't get on with is the angled crevice tool. I much preferred the straight one on my original Dyson. You can also buy a mini turbine head to attatch to the pipe (which I will invest in) which makes cleaning stairs even easier. The pipe is long enough to reach to the top of the stairs in one go. All in all, a fantastic cleaner....

...The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too.
