#250? - Overrated!

Advantages: Acknowledge I've overrated, at ease, I use a strong range of scores
Disadvantages: GameFAQS top ten list quality filler - I'm only really doing this for 30CP

...I'm not a fan of top whatever lists, and I loathe the term "overrated" as I find it to be overused (although it springs to mind when I am on sites like this). For my 250th review (or not-really-a-review) however, I decided to compile a top ten list of products that I've reviewed which I felt I have overrated, and contemplated taking a star off the rating. There have been reviews that I've gone back to and changed the rating - these would be next in line, though my laziness means I might never get round to these. 10. Metallica - Ride The Lightning. ...The Samsung E250 is a bit of a let down to my other phone which broke and I have had a lot of phones but the reasons why it is a good phone are shown below along with a few bad points but every phone has bad points this one has an advantage to other phones. The fact that it is a slide phone mean that it is helpful for calls all you have to do is just have slide it up and the call is answered. ...Edit: My review here is based on the Nuvi-250 (non-widescreen version). I bought one of these recently as my old ipaq-based TomTom is getting more outdated each day and there doesn't seem to be a reasonably-priced way to update it. I have to say I was expecting better. The manual is small because there aren't as many features as you get with TomTom. For example TomTom allows you to set the distance between your POI and it's alert sounding. This Garmin seems to sound the alert at it's own preset distance warning which you can't change from the menu system. It also seems to take a while to find the satellites. We went to our local park on saturday which is about a mile from home and we were practically on the car-park before it locked on. The worst part though was how innacurate the maps seem to be. RS250 - Best Avoided

Advantages: Good looks, 2 stroke smells
Disadvantages: unreliable, expensive parts - Italian

...at a disused runway. Maybe mine was mechanically crap? Maybe my 13.5 stone body was too heavy? I don't know. What makes me laugh even harder is when the 17 year olds say that their RS125 s will crack 120mph. I have tried and tried to get a ride on one of these 'super quick' bikes but the owners never let me ride it. There is no way that a standard RS125 will do 120mph - so if you are a 16 or 17 year old reading this review and think you are going to get a rocket ship then you will be disappointed. Don't get me wrong the RS is a fast bike..... but let's get real here. Back to the RS250.................... So it is great fun to ride, easy to wheelie and smells nice.... what is wrong with it? Where do I start? 2 strokes are notoriously unreliable. I knew that before I bought it but I thought that I would not have to do anything major to it...

Decent Samsung E250

Advantages: Bluetooth, Practical, External memory, MP3 capable, Excellent multimedia services.
Disadvantages: Fragile, Shortlife battery, Not 3G capable, complicated menu.

...The Samsung E250 is a great cell phone despite its mentionable flaws and critical points with an overall rating that will suit the need of the mass community and will reach your expectations. First of all, SME250 is based GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 terminal, a 2G (EDGE, so it's a 2.75G ) unfortunately not a 3G, so you can't make video conference phone call. But, that's a not big loss comparing the big range of features. The clamshell (comes in different colors, black, silver, pink) design is very slick and lovable. A dimension of 99.5 x 49.5 x 14.1 mm, weighing 80g makes the phone very light (you won't feel in your pocket or purse (for the ladies ;)) and very fragile piece of equipment as well. I've heard several complaints about the design regarding the keypad and the screen display, possibility getting damage in short term of usage...

PXC 250 - Good VFM noise-cancelling headphones

Advantages: Great value for money. Excellent at dealing with low frequencies.
Disadvantages: Bulky battery pack. Phone interference may be an issue for some.

...We bought this phone on PAYT for my wife to replace her 5 year old Sony J70. Vodafone gave £8 back on that phone - would have been £2 if we had the charger with us. This new phone is just what she needs. Has a good quality camera, is very slim and light. Has a nice keypad. She likes the FM radio, which will auto tune, although a> It could only find 8 channels around here b> It named them as Channel1 -> 8 I sat for a while with the Radio Times and manually entered about 10 stations - which is the limit around here, although she probably won't use a few of them. These work really well. The phone can store MP3s, Photos, Videos and can download Ringtones and Games. There are 3 demo games on the phone, to be honest these have been deleted to get some memory back. The phone takes a Mini-SD card to boost the memory - must get one ordered...
