Finepix S5000

Advantages: Easy to use, very good picture quality
Disadvantages: Camera case sold separately

You get a CD-ROM (FinePix Viewer software) as well to download your pictures on your computer, I had no problem whatsoever to install it and I find it very quick to transfer the pictures on my computer. I just love this camera and even if it's not the smallest (11.27cm x 8.11cm x 7.93 cm and it weights about 400g) I take it everywhere I go (you never know when you'll get a great picture opportunity...

Fuji S5000 versatile, high quality camera

Advantages: Extremely versaltile, general-use camera
Disadvantages: Autofocusing on moving targets

...The S5000 is a very good value version of the Nikon 5700. It has fantastic zoom (10x optical) although close-up focusing on anything more than 1x doesn't really work, even on macro. Generally, autofocusing and auto light metering in normal use takes about a second (typical for a modern digi camera). Trying to take a photo on a moving subject is therefore tricky if the subject is moving away (or towards) you, as it focuses at the point you initiated the photo. Focusing on a small object against a detailed background (e.g. an insect on a leaf against the garden) can be tricky because if the insect is too small it tries to focus on the background instead. These types of photo usually take a couple of minutes because it needs 5 or 6 attempts (re-zooming, refocusing, moving closer/further away) and is probably the weakest part...

Why YOU SHOULD BUY a FinePix S5000

Advantages: Very small, large optical zoom, easy to use menus, free filter adapter, looks great...
Disadvantages: takes 4x AA or Ni-MH batteriies NOT a single special rechargable one

...through, and the buttons on the actual body are easy to press etc. THE ONYL REASON I EVEN THOUGHT OF BUYING ANOTHER CAMERA WAS THE FACT IT TOOK 4xAA. That is the only real disadvantage, so get out there and buy this camera, and make sure to buy another XD Card aswell. This is very important because it only comes with 16mb card, and you can only take about 10 pictures!!! This is not a disadvantage because all cameras do this. Besides, you can test it out with this card any way. Other little detail make this camera almost perfect, like little clip to attach the lense cap to the strap. THESE ARE THE FULL SPECS. Advantages: Huge zoom, Focus Tracking, Easy to use
Disadvantages: Bulky, A little slow, AA batteries are a bit inconvenient

...The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too. The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed. Epson Stylus DX5000 - It's not quite hate

Advantages: it looks alright, and the buttons are reasonably straightforward
Disadvantages: uneconomical ink cartridges, poor or liney prints too common

...I don?t exactly hate this printer, but I would not recommend it to anyone, for a number of what I think are rather important reasons. It?s ink usage is pretty terrible. I bought this printer as the ink seemed atleast somewhat reasonable, and could be purchased in four separate process colours. I figured it would be easy to change one without having to change them all. It has small cartridges with tiny amounts of ink. The cartridges run out astoundingly quickly. It turned out not to be good value at all. If any ink colour runs out, you cannot print at all. I would love the option to print the document in whatever colour(s) it can, but it just tells you to change the cartridge, and refuses to function. However on one occasion when I was low on black it offered to make black out of the other colours for me. This printer does look...
