Good - but not the best Volvo S60

Advantages: Style, performance, comfort, good economy for performance, well built
Disadvantages: Not S60 prime model

...Right up front I am going to confess that I am writing this as a slightly frustrated non-Volvo S60 driver. Strange statement that don't you think but there we are out here in the big bad world we do not always get what we want??. ??.and we (Mrs Richada and I) really wanted a Volvo S60, but not as it happens, this the most powerful 220bhp 2.4 litre T5 Sport version. 15 years ago I would have not looked at a Volvo fullstop. However if the S60 had then been on the market, this the fastest one would have been my natural choice. Maturity and certain financial commitments now mean that I am inclined to make far more rational choices when it comes to choosing a car, no matter if I pay for it, or is currently the case I have a free choice of company car up to a given budget. ...Well the 60s is a time that I would have loved to be in and experience, well ok I was born in 66 and cannot remember that much and my hubby was born in 60 and remembers a bit of it. So here is my top 10 things that remind me of the 60s. 1) My aunty Celia who was a true hippy, she lived out in the middle of nowhere and bought her own farm and grew her own products. Dead 60s Riot Radio

...The Dead 60s are a band heavily influenced by the early Ska movement and have all the energy of Ska heroes The Clash and The Skatalites. They are a four piece band from Liverpool and their first album, the thirteen track Riot Radio was released in September 2005 after spending the previous year touring with the likes of Kasabian. Strangley enough I first saw and heard of the band when they performed on Top Of The Pops in 2005. Their first single was "You're not the law" which managed to reach the top 20 chart in early 2005 Many of their songs also have dub versions which are all excellent and can be found on b-sides (if there is such a thing these days). They are signed to Deltasonic records - the same label as The Zutons and The Coral. After many major tours around the world last year lets hope that they come home...

...I Took delivery of this car on the 13th Dec 2002. The car was spotless. It is a black S60 model SE. I work as a senior ambulance officer. The car was then taken to our Ambulance Workshops. It was then fitted with Blue Lights behind the Grill Alternating Headlights that flash, rear blue and red strobes on the rear shelf and a magnetic blue lamp for the roof. It was also fitted with a hands free VHF radio and a VDO Dayton Sat Nav system. The reason for the fititng of the sat nav was that the volvo option was £3000 and the VDO was £1200. This was quite a saving so it was decided that it would be better . Finally the car was fitted with a 100 watt siren . The switched were fitted neatly below the heating controls. The car its self also has electronic seats with memory. The seats are leather and heated. The car has automatic transmission...

They were a fractious lot behind the scenes, but throughout the personnel changes, the creative talents of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (and reluctant front man after the departure of initial lead vocalist Carl Wayne) Roy Wood ensured that as a singles band they were, and remained, a force to be reckoned with. This compilation contains all the singles from 1967 to 1970 (yes, the title got it slightly wrong), and the B-sides were never throwaways. The band had initially wanted the eerie mock-psychedelic "Disturbance" to be their first A-side, though the record company opted instead for "Night Of Fear" (a song which got by with a little help from Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" in the guitar riff department...

...The Compaq Presario CQ60 has proved to be very good value for money. I paid £380 in January '09 and it has worked perfectly since. The wireless has a good range and the screen quality is outstanding. Everything else works how it should and the only real negative is a not-so-great battery life (approx 2 hrs on power saver). All in all, good for games (mine has a separate graphics card - not sure if standard?), word processing, internet and general use. One thing I particularly like is the larger screen size that results from having an integrated number pad on the keyboard. However the larger size does result in a heavy laptop. As of yet I have had no technical issues what so ever with this laptop and I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a laptop on a budget! Hope this was of some help! ...I actually owned one of these a few years. It was my second car, which I bought after my first was damaged in an accident. The car I purchased was a 1998 Punto 60s 1.2, 5-door in metallic blue. When I bought it I thought it was fantastic, especially compared to the 1992 Renault Clio I had previously. It was more powerful (slightly), had 5 doors, was roomier and better equipped (it came with a sunroof - the height of luxury for me? ) The engine was willing enough, and liked to be revved quite high, although it could feel a little sluggish when carrying a load (but then you can't really expect much from a 1.2 with 60 bhp). The interior was very spacious, plenty of headroom (I'm 6ft), and lots of leg-room in the back. However, this did mean that the boot was a bit small compared to other in its class. This was much better with the rear...

...This is the 2.4 Litre, 5 Cylinder (Diesel) Volvo S60 My Dad owns this car but i borrowed it for a few days when i needed a car to drive around in. I only took out a temporary insurance deal with norwich union which, for 2 weeks, cost me £71.40 which is expensive, but i only needed it for 2 weeks and i wasnt going to pay £4k for a years cover (just because im 18) The boot space is good and is plenty for shopping, or luggage, although if you carry equipment around which is bulky, you may have a problem, because being a saloon, the boot opening is fairly small. Although the engine has 163 Bhp which dosent sound a lot for a car this size when you see cars like my mates Renault Clio having 197 Bhp, but the car squeezes every last drop of power and the clio is no match on acceleration or top speed. This film was set in 1962, Tracey Turnblade (Ricky Lake) a oversized teenage wins a place on a TV dance show and decides to use this as a forum to speak out about racial integration. This film had music but was not a musical version. A re-make of this film is planned for 2007 and rumours say it will be starring Queen Latifa and John Travolta.
