More 70s Show fun

Advantages: Complete season, engaging, witty, funny

That '70s Feeling

Advantages: Well scripted and acted, funny, Laura Prepon
Disadvantages: Someone is bound to "Jump the Shark"...

Anthonys 70s disco workout

Advantages: you can have fun with it.
Disadvantages: could have picked better songs

After reading all the views on how appauling it was i nearly didnt buy it, However i like to find out for myself as i noticed many views were not broken down or in detail. I also noticed many people seemed to be slamming it for being unprofessional so at 1.99 i wasnt worried if i lost my money. I am glad i did this. The dvd is broken into sections. When i first put the dvd on the first section i must say is lame. The music i would not class as 70s and i wanted to know where were the words! I watched closey and yes anthony does not give you much direction,however the moves arent that hard if you are flexiable and arent ashamed of jumping around. The nikon d70s is unbeatable!

Advantages: easy to use - quality of product -speed - just cracking! better than canon or nikon 50
Disadvantages: Price but then SLR digital cameras are all dear! No memory card included

...I purchased my camera just before the summer in anticipation of a trip to Venice - a photographer's paradise. Having compared the available digital SLRs it was so apparent to me that the NIKON D70S was by far superior in many respects. The size of the camera means that you can hold it without fear of it dropping or slipping out of your hand - I found other cameras too small. The feel exudes quality - there are no flimsy bits, the lens supplied (nikon) is a top quality lens - not a budget version found on the cheaper d50 or on the canon 350d. The speed of functions is stunning compared to my previous digital camera (pseudo SLR Olympus) - formatting of memeory card is done in a flash, readyness of integral flash is very fast and write speed to memory card is also very quick, even with a slow er version of the compact flash card. My 70's memories.

Advantages: I was born in the 60's though lived my childhood in the 70's!
Disadvantages: makes me feel soooo old!!!!

Nikon D70s

Advantages: Solid, professional class images; fast
Disadvantages: Not overly simple to use; small LCD screen; auto settings can disappoint

...No questioning the Nikon quality..it's robust and solid like it's reputation but not the best buy in it's class for the amateur. I should state at this stage that I'm no professional although I do use the camera to back up my magazine articles so I hope you'll find my views useful. The D70s is fast and produces great images but you need a good understanding of light and exposure to get the best out of it. To this end I would recommend weaning yourself off the automatic functions as soon as possible. I use the camera with a DX AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm for general use and back it up with a 55-200mm for more precise work. One downside of the first lens is that you do get some vignetting at the widest angle - especially with a filter. Mostly from the 80s, not many hits & almost no disco tracks

Advantages: The 6 number 1 records
Disadvantages: The rest of the tracks are rubbish

From 1974 it was #3 in the UK but only #4 in the US R&B Charts despite being classed as a soul song, so yes it was a hit but no it wasn't disco. 8. Going Back To My Roots - Odyssey. Aiwa NSX-V70 Stereo System.

Advantages: Good tone quality, good tape recording quality
Disadvantages: Needs longer leads on speakers - needs frequent CD lens cleaning

...1995 seems like a long time ago but that's when we bought our Aiwa NSX-V70 from Comets and, although I am aware that others seem to have given this stereo system bad reviews, we have found ours to be really excellent. Maybe it's something to do with acoustics but we find the tone very rich, particularly on its equalizer settings - I purchased a couple of phono leads and connected to our nicam Sony VCR and/or DVD player. Another thing that must be said, is that we have not "hammered" the system to maybe that's why is has given such long service. Although the original price was near to £400, I have since seen the same unit going on Ebay from around £50. The prices have come right down on these units now. Is that a bird..is that a plane..its the Volvo s70

Advantages: A sports saloon car!
Disadvantages: Costly to repair!

...I have owned this Car for about 6 years now. It was a very Luxury car when i purchased it and i'm glad to say it still is! The interior of it is very similar to that of a Mercedes S class which as we all know is the best of the best when it comes to luxury in saloon cars. When i first bought this car the cd player broke straight away and i was told that it would cost in the region of £1000+ to get it fixed, now i was happy with listening to the radio so this has still not been fixed but other than that i have never had anything go wrong with it. And i would rather have no CD player than a car with a working Cd player but an unreliable car. The Volvo s70 has a full leather interior as standard and electric front seats, which also have seat warmers which are very handy in the winter. as for leg room, i couldn't have asked...

Oh No another 70s cover album.....or is it ?

Advantages: Consistently good choice of songs-with a fresh approach

...I'll admit it-I'm a fan of the very talented Donny Osmond but I was NOT happy to hear that Donny was recording a 70s cover version album. I loved his last album "What I meant to saY" Which was predominently new music co-written with the likes of Eliot Kennedy (Spice Girls), Gary Barlow and Paul Peterson (formerly associated with Prince). I wanted the next album to be yet more good original stuff-Donny's sung other people's music most of his life ! However I heard some cuts from the album pre-release on www.donny.com and liked what I heard so I bought it. As did a lot of other people as it went gold within a week of release.
