Mini Cooper S - an accurate and detailed review

Advantages: Fun to drive, sensibly fast, reasonable MPG, great handling, looks
Disadvantages: Cost of runflat tyres, space a little limited in the back

...I bought a 2003 Cooper S in gunmetal (grey) a couple of months ago and have so far been more than happy with my choice with no regrets. As a new buy you need to be prepared to spend a lot to get the extras you want and I should think the first owner of my car spent well over 18k for the car, so that's around 4-5k in extras. Mine has the panoramic sunroof, cruise control, digital climate, full leather, steering wheel controls, chili pack including xenon headlights - these are the sorts of things you would expect a fairly expensive small hot hatch to have so with this in mind, buying used is blatantly the way to go, particularly with the new car market as it is. When you step in the Mini you can't help but notice the attention to detail that BMW have paid with all of the interior. The huge dial grows on you the longer you own...

Review of MINI Cooper

A Convertable mini one that looks like a cooperS.

Advantages: Cool (Less is more)
Disadvantages: Curb damage on the wheels

...My wife and I bought our mini one convertible in June05. When we purchased it we liked the look of the mini cooper S convertible but couldn't quite come to terms with parting with all that cash so we opted for the cheapest option. We ordered a red mini one convertible with 17" S alloys, pepper pack, cd player and sports seats with black fabric. Oh, we also asked that the one badge be removed from the boot of the car. Mini 10

Advantages: Quite a lot
Disadvantages: Hard to adjust to

The keyboard is also black but the hand rest is a glossy silver colour which is a similar design to most laptops and web books nowadays. The dimensions of this creation are 10.3 x 7.2 x 1.3 (reading the instructions and specification) and it?s slightly thinner and smaller than other similar products that I have seen. I also got a case with it which is easily carried round as the net book is so compact. Because the keyboard is smaller than a standard computer or laptop it is hard to type on at the start, but I am surprised at how easy it is to adjust to the size and actually the keyboard is the perfect size for me! Mini cooper s John Cooper Works 200bhp

Advantages: Faster than the average mini

The 200bhp that the engine cranks out certianly makes a difference from the normal mini's as 100mph comes around in 3rd gear. it sticks to the road like a dead animal and is great fun with the traction control off. Cooper S What fun

Advantages: Fast, Fun
Disadvantages: Bumpy ride

...What a car! This little beauty which is so reminiscent of the old mini, goes like the wind. Quaint inside but so much larger than the old mini and the build quality is fabulous. The S is much more fun than the straight cooper and if you like to go fast then this is the car for you. It still retains all the character and fun of the old mini and commands a nod from other mini owners. If you want fun this is the car for you. The Mini cooper S has sports suspension plus which can make for a bouncy ride to be honest, but hey that really is reminiscent of the old mini isnt it. If you buy one get one with leather interior and air con, they tend to sell on much better afterwards. Run flat tyres are a bit on the pricey side £140 each, but they do allow you to carry on driving for 50 odd miles after a puncture so you can get home which...

...bmw mini one was the first car i ever brought and to be honest i wish i started with something a little cheaper then maybe changed car a few time to experience how other cars drive and then gone to a mini. only because i now know my next car WILL be another mini. One of the best features is the run on flats. when your tyre pressure goes below what it should be, the car shows you a flat tyre sign and a beebing sound, so you know that there is something wrong. The only thing i think could be improved is the steering i find it a bit heavy compared to other cars but would not hold that against the car. Handle brillianly at a round about!!! The bmw mini, well all mini's are stunning looking car.i love evey minute driving my mini. in my opinion this is the best car ever made....

...Cadbury's chocolate is just the best! The mini eggs are just soooo moreish it's baaad!! I buy these in the 100g bags - the bag is yellow with mini eggs written across the middle in purple, the cadbury logo is in the top left and they have pictures of the eggs on the packet. The bag of eggs cost 99p. The eggs are solid chocolate covered in a crispy shell, as soon as you open the bag you can smell the cocoa - you just want to dive right in the bag and start scoffing! The shells are different colours and I always want to suck the shell off so I can savour the chocolate, it never happens though I just have to bite it to get to the chocolate.
