...I bought my Camileo S10 few days back, did some heavy duty shooting around and let me assert here that this is a preety good camcorder.
I took a whole day, visiting various retailers, testing the Sony Webbie, Kodak Zx1, Aiptek z700, Xacti CG10 and the Camileo P30 & S10, besides the Samsung ST550 [TL225 elsewhere] (a Digital Camera doing 720p HD). These were the compact camcorders available here (Flip Ultra HD, Samsung U10 & Kodak Zi8 are not yet marketed here) and settled down for the Camileo S10 due to:
1. Great form factor.
2. Lightest among all.
3. *Best HD clips (2nd was Aiptek z700).
4. *2nd best Still shots (best was Aiptek z700), but very-very good.
5. **Li-ion Battery (keeps the device slimmer).
6. ***Upto 32 Gb SD Card compatible.
7. Got an 8 Gb SD card free from the store.
8. Similar priced; under USD 160...
Advantages: SMOOTHER AND QUIETER Disadvantages: NOT CHEAP
...Total (a well known petrol station here in the UK) which I have used in the past without any problems but unfortunately the price of Citroen's Total oil was £34.99 and well over my budget.
I was beginning to get a little frantic on my Laptop checking all the local car shops to compare the prices, when my sister shouted out "Donovan have you checked out Halfords yet" I must say I hadn't thought of it. So I put on my Timberlands and walked (jogged) to my local Halfords store.
Halfords had plenty of brands and blends of motor oil to choose from including there own make and also had 20% of all engine oil (which was music to my ears). After browsing the shelves there was one oil that shouted out at me and that was the high performance Mobil Super S10W-40 Semi Synthetic motor oil 5L for £19.99.
I have seen Mobil engine oil...

...I was given the Pentax Optio S10 as a birthday present 2 months ago to replace my film camera and quite honestly I was convinced I would hate it and thought it was far too small and would be fiddly and not take photos as good as my SLR.
Well I have to say I've been made to eat my words, Firstly the quality of the pictures is totally amazing, very crisp and clear, even when printed at A4 size they don't lose any clarity.
The display screen is much larger than on many small digital cameras and makes it easy to use.
The controls are very easy to use, when you click onto the mode screen there is a clear symbol for each type of operation and when you click on it, it gives a brief description of what it does which saves from having to consult the manual all the time.
The battery life is a real plus as I'd heard that many digital cameras...

Review of Pentax Optio S10
Advantages: Amazing comfort, load space, Towing Capacity LPG savings Disadvantages: Parts can be costly, maintainence needs to be maticulous
...I bought a Blazer 6 months ago after owning Frontera's, Shoguns and numerous landrovers.
By far the S10 UK spec Blazer leaves them in the dust, mines LPG converted making it supprisingly economic, drive it on a motorway run and you can return fantstic value for money, i took mine to France recently and drove from York to Dover at motorway speeds with 4 adults and luggage and cost was £40.
I had heard reports that parts were expensive, my outlook on this is overall the cost of chevrolet parts is relative to owning a Range Rover.
if your willing to wait parts are easily obtained from the USA at reasonable costs (just watch for the shipping fees)
The comfort offered by the Chevrolet is amazing, you can spend a whole day behind the wheel and still get out feeling fresh, the drive is amazingly easy for such a big vehicle. Parking in...

...I bought this camera after seeing most of my friends get them and using them. They all seemed to love it.
I have nothing but praises for the Canon Powershot S10 Digital Camera.
It is incredibly easy to use and produces sharp and clear photographs. It comes with a host of features such as adjustment of the white balance, resolution, shutter speed etc etc.
The Canon’s controls are laid out in a very organized way. On top are two controls, the shutter release button and a dial, which is used to select different modes. On the back are three buttons to control different picture taking features: macro mode, flash control, self-timer, and continuous shooting mode. There is a four-way control pad that is used for the zoom and for making choices from the menu. Another button controls the exposure compensation and the white balance...
Advantages: 10x optical zoom; lens can rotate 270 degrees Disadvantages: None really...except that it lacks a "fully manual" mode.
...There are two things I absolutely love about this camera:
# It has a 10x zoom lens built into such a small housing
# The lens can rotate a full 270 degrees - so you can actually capture self-portraits without anyone's help.
The camera size is about that of an average casual camera but it packs in several powerful features; such as the 10x optical zoom, vibration reduction and panorama modes.
But as I mentioned above, I guess the best feature is the way the lens can rotate, so you can capture some incredible shots such as high above a crowd (if you rotate the lens 180 degrees to the bottom and hold it above your head).
It also has several modes built-in to assist the semi-casual-but-moving-on-to-pro user such as various sport modes, night modes, indoor, snow, etc. which all take on some pre-adjusted shutter speeds and aperture...

...When my Optio S4 was destroyed by my god-daughter I was distraught. The camera had been around the world with the wife and I (and bore the battle scars to prove it) and had never let us down, producing superb quality photos that the small size didn't seem to offer.
However, give a 2 year old a glass of milk and the camera lasted only 5 minutes... broken screen and liquid damage :-(
Having said that, with the joys of accidental damage cover on my home insurance Iwe have just taken delivery of the all new - and VERY IMPRESSIVE Optio S10...
Pentax lenses are the best in the world and what with our experience of the superb build quality and 100% reliability we were very excited to be offered the S10 - I am pleased to say that this does not disappoint!

Review of Pentax Optio S10
Advantages: Range. Optical Quality. Size. Weight. Price. Disadvantages: Lens hood not supplied with lens.
...Having owned and used my Canon EF-S10-22mm f/3.5-f/4.5 USM zoom lens for around 15 to 18 months I feel that it is in many ways, quite an exceptional lens. Effectively covering the versatile full-frame equivalent 16-35mm zoom lens, it is a valuable addition to anyone's kit.
Being an EF-S lens (the 'S' standing for 'Short' back-focus), it is designed for use ONLY with cameras having APS-C size sensors. Don't attempt to fit one to a full-frame DSLR or 35mm SLR camera. Such lenses have reduced image circles and produce vignetting on full-frame or 35mm cameras. Furthermore, the rear lens element could get hit by the reflex mirror, causing serious damage.
With a maximum aperture of f/3.5 at the widest end and f/4.5 at the more moderate end of the zoom range, the lens is not 'fast' by any stretch of the imagination. However...
Advantages: Fantastic picture quality, everything you'd expect and more Disadvantages: None!
...I got this camera for my birthday in June. It was an upgrade from my Dad of my old Canon one, because "I've always told you Pentax are thebest ! "
It has 10 megapixels and takes amazing photos! You can choose which quality you want to take you pictures and videos in. Theres different modes; automatic, pet mode, landscape etc. My favourite is the pet mode. It even asks you whether its a cat or a dog and them what colour their fur is!
If you zoom right in you lose a little of the picture quality, but thats to be expected, its not a DSLR after all.
The menu is easy to use, theres different sound effects and you can alter the sharpness, saturation, brightness and contrast etc so is great if you're one of those people who likes their pictures just so. I didn't read the instruction manual (I very rarely do) and I can use it with ease...
