Saab 93 2.2 TDi Vector (2002 model)

Advantages: Smart, stylish & fast
Disadvantages: handling (at times)

...An excellent car, improved on the earlier hatchback version which was replaced by the sports saloon from late 2002. IMPROVEMENTS The sports saloon is stylish, with sleek looks and providing a range of interior styles. The neetness of the chrome finish and half leather seats provided in the Vector model finnishes the car nicely on the inside. The body colour bumpers and spoilers present a sleeker look on the outside than provided on the lower spec models. FUEL CONSUMTION With a combination of motorway and town driving I manage to average around 41 mpg, which isn't bad, but less than I had hoped for. Typically I will get around 500 miles to a tank, making refills less frequent. DRIVING For a diesel, it has superb acceleration, particularly when accelerating from speeds in the range of 40 - 60 mph, leaving most other...

Saab 93 Aero Sport Saloon

Advantages: Different Styling, Exclusive, Cheap Servicing
Disadvantages: Depreciation HIgh

...currently own a Saab 93 ss on a 54 plate 05MY and have owned it since May 2005, I purchased it from my usual dealer in Cornwall, Before this I owned a 2003 53 Saab 93 ss 2.2 TiD The Sport saloon was introduced in September 2002 with the line up of 1.8t 150bhp actually a 2litre turbo, a 2.0t a 175bhp turbo engine and 2.2TiD a 125bhp Diesel Spec levels were Linear the basic trim level, Arc had full leather seats, Vector A more sporty interior. The Aero was not introduced until 2003 and has a 2.0T 210bhp turbo engine which is different to the 1.8t and 2.0t In 2004 the 2.2Tid was replaced by 2 common rail 1.9litre diesel engines producing 120bhp and 150bhp used accross the GM range the Arc spec level was dropped and in popped 2 new specs Linear Sport and Vector Sport both offering a few options as standard extra over the non sport...

Khyam Vector PoP Up Tents.

Advantages: So auick & easy! Saves you getting wet when others are still constructing...
Disadvantages: None that I can think of!

...The Mutts Nuts! These things go up & down in minutes (or at least the 2 man vector does!) stand up to all sorts of weather (I've used mine in a hailstorm in gale force winds in Biarritz!!) & they are pretty light. They also came in all shapes & sizes which are variations on the basic Dome. When new you just fix the inner inside the Fly & that's where it stays, the tent is almost free standing when the poles are locked straight although like all tents it is important to stratch the peg rubbers when anchoring it down & apply the Guy lines if expecting rough weather. Even with the Guys in place this tent only uses 12 pegs! I've been touring on a mountain bike with one in France numerous times & the simplicity when you have to keep putting up / taking down is great. Mine's also made from a ripstop nylon, which helps when it...

Saab 900 turbo....its a classic!!

Advantages: comfortable, reliable
Disadvantages: petrol consumption,

...Saab 900 turbo. The car of all cars, yes I?m talking about the Saab 900 turbo. My fiancé (Shaun) has a Saab 900 turbo 16s (classic) Black, J-reg, 198,000 miles on the clock (yes that?s nearly 200,000 miles) and it?s still going! That just shows how good these cars can be if looked after. Shaun has had it over a year, and believe you me he loves this car! My partner found his 'true love' under a tree just over a year ago. With much love (as Saabs do need) it was restored back to its natural beauty. Saabs are quite weird looking but in a beautiful way. The way they can handle the road is brilliant, and the acceleration is wkd (probably because of the BHP-which we will come to later) History The Classic Saab 900, manufactured from 1979 until 1993, remains to this day a very popular car with many thousands having been sold around...

Saab 95 3.0 V6 EcoPower (1999-V reg)

Advantages: Solid,Safe, Reliable,Great engines
Disadvantages: Resale value & some dodgy onboard computers

...I bought my latest Saab 2 years ago (Have owned 7 so far) after needing more space, particularly in the boot department as i need it for my business, kids, dog and the twin axle caravan! I opted for the 3 litre V6 estate in mettallic silver. This vehicle had done 30k which for a 3 year old Saab was pretty good. I have since taken it up to almost 80k and have only had to replace the battery (as the wifes incar mobile charger had a fault in it and goosed the battery). The Onborad computer has however started to miss out letters on the display and I have since found that this can be a common problem but at almost £900 to replace,It certainly is a costly one! Thankfully though it does not impair the cars overall running performance. The 3 litre engine on this model is absolutely superb and has excellent peformance (Speed limited to 147mph...

Suunto Vector Black Negative face

Advantages: Light weight, good features if calibrated properly. Rugged.
Disadvantages: Quite big, but it does do a lot to be fair!!!!

...Spent some time looking for a good outdoor watch with Altimeter, Compass and Barometric Pressure etc.. The Vector hits all those and so far seems pretty accurate. The compass once calibrated properly is accurate to within 3-5 degrees, one nice feature is the levelling bubble on the face that allows you to get a more accuarte reading. A big watch in terms of circumferance but really light weight you will not notice it on your wrist after a few minutes. The Altimeter is pretty good but you do need to update it quite regularly, the best way to do this is to put the height in to the Altimeter, being one of the older watches in the suunto range it doesn't have the function as some of the newer one s do of being able to freeze the altimeter mode when at home and leave it in Barometer mode and then switch to Altimeter when out hiking, but i...

Saab 93 2.2 TID Arc 2003

Advantages: Amazing Car with great turbos, fun to drive
Disadvantages: There are problems, could be costly to maintain

...I own a Saab 93 2.2 TID Arc 2003, looks wise it's a stunner with it's unique graphite green paint work, which looks black but in the sun gives off a green shade makes for the DVLA to raise questions about the cars colour been changed, as people either write it down as Green or Black on the log book when it's actually both! Gadget wise you get Front & rear electric windows, central locking, alarm, CD player, radio/clock, trip computer, air con, dual zone climate control ,so the driver and passenger can set different temperatures and the car will blow warm or cold air to maintain that temperature. There are also vents in the back of the car which also emit air, that something I have not seen in a car before. What else? Cream Leather Interior with a wallnut trim, plenty of cup holders, dotted about the car, massive boot, plenty...

Review of Saab 9-3 2.2 TiD

Saab - Translated to... GOD OF ALL CARS

Advantages: Fast, stylish, comforting, sexy!
Disadvantages: Nothing

...I purchased the Saab 9-3 2.2TiD yesterday, the year of the car is late 2003. I paid just over £8,500 for the car with confidence in it from after reading a couple of other reviews that have been posted on ciao. Based on what the other reviewers had to say i thought the car would be a good buy! I have only had the car for one day and i am already loving it, its very spacious on the inside, there is a really nice place to put your left foot when driving on the motorway, if you just clip the cruise controll on, there is like a cavern for your left foot!!! Lots of room in the back of the car, loads of leg room, large arm rests on the doors and the flip down rest. Huge boot, a rough idea of the boot size would pretty much be, its twice as big as a normal boot. Say a Ford Focus, twice as large as that one! The leather seats are brilliant...

Saab 9-3 Sport Combi...a hoot to drive !

Advantages: Very roomy in the back
Disadvantages: Could do with a more compatible in-car phone system

...There's a saying in Sweden..you make two kinds of car one for the fast lane and one for the slow lane. And I think Saab hope their vehicle is made for the fast lane. Under the bonnet is a 4 cylinder turbo engine. Now normally a straight 4 cylinder engine doesn't deliver much power, but Saab seem to have broken some of the rules. And Saab have done it to the max. For a 2.0 by old-school standards it shouldn't make more than 100 hp..but yet it makes 210 hp and 221 lbs-ft of torque. Saab have done it in such a way they..so you do not get alot of "torque-steer" , in other words when I was on the road, I didn't feel the steering wheel, jerking around in my hands. When I looked at the brake and suspension, its independent all the way around. I also certainly liked the drivers position...the steering wheel, the pedals, the gearshift all...

Review of Saab 9-3 SportCombi

Long term user review of the Saab 9-3 Aero.

Advantages: Safe, fast, comfortable, and very beautiful.
Disadvantages: A bit expensive

...When I got to the store to pick my (well, my company car then..) brand new Saab 9-3 Aero (210hp) back in -04 I was very happy. I had taken a few months of reviewing several cars and brands before I decided to go for the Saab 9-3. Basically the choice where made on the looks of the car itself, the price compared to similar cars from other brands, safety and comfort since I spent all my time on the roads back then and the feeling of driving it. Actually, come to think of it, this was the most important of them all. I'm jumping straight to the interior of the car since everyone that has seen one knows they simply are beautiful :) During the two years I spent in this car I drove approximately three laps around the earth which means that I had to sit comfortably. The seats in the car are real nice. You get the sporty feeling...
