Malaysia

Advantages: Beautiful beaches. Great shops at night great fun, forests too
Disadvantages: hot/humid/polluted

...Kuala Lumpur the capital of Malaysia is great for all tourists, in this very hot climate there are excellent hotels. There are great shops and things are very cheap, technology is pretty good too. Strange things were seen when exploring Malaysia, shops sellings testicles, yes i did say what you just read, Kangaroo testicles etc. I wont go into detail what else they were selling because you get the idea. I just said the last part to throw a huge contrast of Malaysia=let me explain, basically Malaysia is a great tourist destination because it has great sites like the worlds tallest towers - The twin towers in Kuala lumpur - I went there and trust me its very high, but for some reason they dont let you go right to the top! - and if any one was wondering yes you travel by elevator not stairs. The two towers are joined by a central...

Welcome to Malaysia!!!

Advantages: lots of attractions, nice people, wonderful foods and wonderful country
Disadvantages: sometimes you may not stand the hot and humidity...

...Territories. Eleven states are situated on Peninsular Malaysia and two in Borneo. For Federal Territories are Kuala Lumpur or well known as KL and Putrajaya. (new administrative capital) and also Labuan in Sabah, Borneo. Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia and it is also the largest city in the country with a history of more than 150 years; it has grown from nothing to a modern, bustling city of almost two million people. It's a modern Asian city of gleaming skyscrapers Attractions Well there are 14 states with different and interesting attractions that you don't want to miss. So this is only few of them. Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC) First of all, if you in KL, there are Petronas Twin Towers or know as KLCC recently the tallest structures in the world, however are now second only to the newly built Taipei 101 building...

Malaysia Airlines, sets the benchmark for other airlines!

Advantages: Very hospitable, great customer service, no delays, no fuss, very welcoming
Disadvantages: You won't want to leave the plane!!

...Malaysia Airlines have flown me between Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur twice a year for the last 8 years and I wouldn't fly with any other airline. Firstly, if you're flying too and from Kuala Lumpur on a regular basis, join the Enrich frequent flyer reward programme. You will soon amass points that can then used for upgrades to business class when you want a real treat. Malaysian custom is to be very polite and hospitable and its no different with Malaysia Airlines (MAS). Whether its terminal three at Heathrow or check in at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, you get a warm greeting and all the assistance you require. In my experience, nothing ever seems too much trouble for either the MAS ground or flight crews. Many years ago I mentioned that my wife and I were on honeymoon and we were pleasantly surprised on-board with a bottle...

KK, The Bright and Bustling Capital of Sabah

Advantages: Modern,Good Food,Good Hotels,Lots to See and Do
Disadvantages: High cost of air fares from Peninsular Malaysia

...The times are turning out to be very special for Kota Kinabalu ,the capital of the East Malaysian state of Sabah.. In addition to celebrating "Visit Sabah Year 2000" the capital, of "The Land Below the Wind" ,attained city status on February 2, 2000 and commemorated its centenary last year. Sabah hosted the Eco-Challenge 2000 from Aug 21 to Sept 2 and the Mount Kinabalu International Climbathon was held on Oct 7 and Oct 8. To cap it all the Kinabalu National Park - a national tourism icon - has been designated by UNESCO as a world heritage site. The bright, bustling, Kota Kinabalu, formerly known as Jesselton (after Sir Charles Jessel, of the British North Borneo Company), is actually Malaysia's youngest city. It's a clean, green and friendly town built right close to the edge of the sea and renowned for its colorful...

Malaysia - A good Country to Visit

Advantages: Tropical climate. Multi cultural Good food.
Disadvantages: Humidity.Traffic Jams in the Cities.

...,Sarawak and Sabah. There are also small communities of Eurasians and Portuguese. Many residents speak English well and Malaysians generally are knowledgeable about the UK.I can assure you soccer teams from UK such as Liverpool., Manchester United and Arsenal have thousands of supporters the length and breadth of this verdant land. The human landscape is matched by a rich natural landscape. Malaysia has some of the world's oldest tropical rain forests, interesting flora and fauna, and places like Sabah are a haven for wildlife. The other East Malaysian state of Sarawak has some of the worlds finest and largest caves, including the world famous Mulu caves. The country has a number of lovely sandy beaches especially on the East Coast of the Peninsular and on islands such as Pulau Perhentian,Tioman, Redang, Langkawi, Sibu, and Pangkor.. Should you...

Want to to get know about Malaysia, Visit Melaka

Advantages: cheap, nice historical places
Disadvantages: difficult to getting around, most people speaks malay and chinese, poor public transport

...Do you like history or you are a historian? If the answer is Yes, then You should go to visit Melaka. Many people said that "visit Melaka, then you have already visited a whole Malaysia country." Melaka is well know as the city of heritage and history in Malaysia. It is located on the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia facing the Straits of Malacca. To get there, you need to take an airplane to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and you can charter a cab to take you to Melaka. It might takes 3 hours before you can arrive at Melaka. If you are departing from Singapore, you can took coach and you need 4 hours to arrive in Melaka. PLACE TO STAY IN MELAKA Finding accommodation and spending a night in Malacca is a simple matter of choice and budget. For those people who prefers to stay in the city, there are a lot of choice for you. If...

Malaysia-The Good and the Bad

Advantages: Friendly people.Lovely islands. Old rain forests
Disadvantages: Congestion in major cities. Hot and Humid climate.

...,Portuguese, Middle Eastern, Thai, British, American and Continental eateries and you can see the culinary landscape in Malaysia is a very diverse and exciting one. Then there are the lovely islands offering great opportunties for acquatic sports. Who hasnt heard of Pulau Tioman? Then there is Pulau Redang, Perhentian, Langkawi, Pangkor, Sibu, Rawa, the list goes on and on.Malaysia, especially in places such as Sarawak and Sabah,is a good spot for nature tourism with the likes of the marvellous Mulu Caves, the Sepilok Orang Utan sanctuary, and Kinabalu National Park. The country boasts of some of the oldest tropical rain forests in the world. Want to Live in Malaysia?

Advantages: Modern facilities, conveniently located, friendly people, lots to do
Disadvantages: None

...We were in Kuala Lumpur, commonly known as KL, sitting in an Irish pub (for a change!) when we spotted a copy of "The Expat" magazine. Having expat-related business ventures ourselves, although not Malaysia-based, naturally we were interested to read this glossy magazine - it turned out to be an excellent publication - and discovered that there was to be an Expat Expo in the nearby Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on 29 and 30 September 2007. Well, we were in KL on holiday, had no business materials with us, and no smart clothes. But we decided to go and have a look anyway, as we're always interested in expat-related things. It was well worth while. This was the first Expat Expo organised by "The Expat", but the general consensus among the attendees seemed to be that they hoped it would become an annual event. Certainly if it...

A short guide to Malaysia

Advantages: Beautiful scenery and cheap prices
Disadvantages: Too hot! and the cities are somewhat polluted

...Well where to begin. Firstly some quick tips for preparing to go to Malaysia: First and most important take some ANTI MOSQUITO cream/repellant. This is the MOST important piece of advice any of these reviews could suggest to you. This is because virtually everywhere in Malaysia has mosquitos and they are a huge pain, causing swelling and severe itchiness. Secondly if your going for a week or two then you should get the necessary jabs: malaria ect (speak to GP). Although most people will not come into contact with the nasty infections abroad, you don't want to be the unlucky one that does become infected. Thirdly do not, I repeat do not even think of taking any illegal drugs into Malaysia. This is because it has the DEATH PENALTY for drug dealing. Fourthly you may want to bring some extra money for dental treatment. Strange...
