Reviews of safari park
Fantastic!
Review of West Midlands Safari Park by
baker007
Advantages: So much to do and theme park is cheap and short queues.
Disadvantages: Little pricey to enter safari.
...No matter what the age you are, West Midland Safari Park is one of the best attractions in the UK. There is a huge safari park with animals from all over the world, admittedly since the monkeys were removed a few years back the safari experience has lacked a certain something, but theres many amazing animals such as White Tigers and also cubs!
When done with the safari, theres a variety of animal shows including the incredible sealion show which never ceases to amaze me. Then there is also a smallish theme park mainly aimed for children however there are still some very good rides which are horrible...in a good way! The price for this part of the park is very reasonable and the queues are never long, making it enjoyable for those who want to visit.
West Midland Safari Park is one of the best attractions in the country but you have...

West Midlands Safari Park
Review of West Midlands Safari Park by
Hsaxo
Advantages: Fun day out, Lots to see
Disadvantages: Not everythings included in the entrance price
...West Midlands Safari Park
A large safari park between Kidderminster and Bewdly. It's easy to get to from main motorways. It is also signed from most main roads which are easy to follow and take you straight to where you want to be.
You can choose to either drive around the safari park first or go into the main area which has a petting zoo, displays, shops and much more.
Once you get there, there is plentiful parking for both cars and coaches, it's free to park and disabled parking is available nearer to the entrance.
As you enter there is a row of shops in a covered area with a gift shop that you can visit either then or on your way out, there is a shop to purchase foods such as ice cream and fudge and various drinks, which can be enjoyed on your way around the attraction.
There are displays going on all day including sea...

Go Safari Hamster - Crikey its Khaki !

... HABITRAIL SAFARI CAGE
ABOUT THE COMPANY & HABITRAIL
Habitrail are owned by Rolf C Hagen, but one of their warehouses is based near where I live at Whitwood, West Yorkshire.
There are plenty of pet shops who stock Habitrail products throughout the UK.
Habitrail cages have been around for the last 10 years or so, they started with the larger cages such as Circus Unit, Park Unit, Home unit and another design (sorry I’ve forgot its that long ago).
Along with these they did cool hamster wheels in the shape of a racing car called the dragster, (sounds like something from Top Gear) they also did a hamster maze.
Safari cage - This item has been around for 8 to 10 years, I remember ordering them in for them to fly of the shelves all those years ago and it’s still a product which sells highly today...

The time of my life!
Review of West Midlands Safari Park by
Legolas2
Advantages: Great fun, amazing day out, and awesome animals
Disadvantages: Food prices are a bit extreme!
...West Midlands Safari and Leisure Park
******* Introduction *******
What a day out! I was so amazed at how brilliant it was. If your looking for a good day out, this is one great place to go. I went in April 2007 and I say truthfully that it was one of the best places I've been to in my life.
******* My trips there *******
I've only ever been to it once but I would definitely go again. It's brilliant for all ages.
******* What to do? *******
At West Midlands Safari and Leisure Park there are plenty of things to do. There is a Safari Park and a Fairground. When I went, we first went round the Safari Park. It was incredible. You have to drive around in your own car and in some areas you can open your windows. They have animals such as zebras, giraffes, rhinos, lions, tigers, white lions, white tigers, hippos, elephants...

Have a Wild Night!!!
Review of Night Safari, Singapore by
lozza166
Advantages: Fun, inexpensive, informative, different
Disadvantages: a bit out of the way to get to
...I found that some of Singapores attractions were a little expensive, and if you want to spend a night out of the bars, then the night safari is a good option.
Its different from anything else I have done before. You can pay to go to the safari and walk around or pay extra and go on a guided tour on a tram. I would definately recommend paying the extra. You are taken around by an informative guide and see the animals in a much different way to the usual safari park experience. The park isn't that big, but you can get off the tram at certain points and take a closer look at some of the animals. They also have a bat enclosure that you can walk into (although you have to be a little careful of droppings), and you can see flying squirrels jumping around above your head.
It is a totally different experience from normal, as alot...

longleat safrai park
Review of Longleat Safari Park by
lisac1971
Advantages: lots to see and do, different activites for all ages
Disadvantages: can be expensive need to get there early to get it all done
...Longleat is more than just a safari park it has many other things to do there as well, and i feel that just spending one day there is a bit of rush to get everything done particularly if you have bought a passport ticket, incidentlyally if you have bought a passport ticket and dont live too far away anything that you havent done can be done on another day providing you keep your passport ticket.
can be quite expensive if you pay for each attraction individually so if you are planning on spending the whole day there i would definately go for the passport ticket as you save loads on it.
some of the attractions include old joes mine where you can see bats flying around, the safari boats where for a small additional charge you can buy a smallpot of fish to feed the sea lions with, miniture railway which goes all along the lake and gives...

A Northern African Safari
Review of Knowsley Safari Park by
Shekera
Advantages: Loads to keep you interested and a lot to learn.
Disadvantages: Can be quite costly for a large family.
...Knowsley Safari Park is located off junction 2 of the M57, about eight miles from Liverpool City Centre.
The Safari Park was opened in July 1971 by the eighteenth Earl of Derby, however, animals were not new to the Knowsley estate as Edward Lord Stanley, the thirteenth Earl of Derby, kept a large private zoo here more than one hundred and fifty years ago – covering about 100 acres, it was ranked as one of the largest zoos in the world at the time!
During the first two years of opening, the drive through route through the Park was 3½ miles in length, and the main attractions at the time were the lions, cheetahs, monkeys, giraffes, zebra, elephants and various antelopes. By 1973, the Park was so popular that the route was extended by an additional 1½ miles, allowing more animals to be added to the collection, these included camels...

Smashing Safari Sensation
Review of West Midlands Safari Park by
DKtheDJ
Advantages: A cracking day out with free return pass for any day that season
Disadvantages: Can get busy during school holidays
...West Midlands Safari Park is my favourite Safari Park and I also believe it is the one with the best value for money.
I look forward to receiving my mail at the beginning of the season telling me that they have opened for another year and then pestering my partner to take me.
Everything about the safari park gets me excited. The drive itself is always slightly different from one season to the next thus keeping the interest levels up for each visit. You also have a free return pass given to you when you arive at the payment kiosks - basically they write your car registration down and you (and the same number of occupants) can return later in the season. This in effect halves the entry cost if you go back a second time in the season.
There are no monkeys to see unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how much you value your car...

Ooh, that giraffe just drooled all over me!
Review of West Midlands Safari Park by
shorn_the_sheep
Advantages: Get up close and interact with exotic animals
Disadvantages: No monkeys to steal your windscreen wipers
...As a rule of thumb I’m not keen on zoos, unless they have huge cages and the animals are quite clearly happy, and would rather visit a safari park any day of the week. So I was thrilled when I learned shortly after moving to Lincoln that there is a Safari Park in the West Midlands, aptly named West Midlands Safari Park. I immediately jumped in my car and went to pay it a visit!
The Location:
West Midlands Safari Park is located in the heart of Worcestershire, and covers roughly 200 acres, much of which is open ground for animals to wander free. The park is clearly signposted from miles away on all major roads, and we didn’t have any trouble finding it.
The park is split into two sections, a huge open area of safari, plus a smaller area that contains some exhibits and amusements for the kids.
The Safari Park:
The beauty...

Animals galore at Knowsley!
Review of Knowsley Safari Park by
MumCC
Advantages: A great value day out in North West England
Disadvantages: None
...KNOWSLEY SAFARI PARK
This animal park is situated near the M58 to the east of Liverpool and could be somewhat of a surprise to those not local to this part of North West England. Knowsley is actually a borough of what was Merseyside before one of our governments decided to start producing a plethora of unitary authorities in some counties but not others.
According to the owners, Knowsley Safari Park was opened in 1971 by the 18th Earl of Derby, and today it is overseen by the 19th Earl of Derby. They claim to have around 30 species of mammal roaming in 200 hectares of land, plus a few birds, reptiles and invertebrates. The welfare of animals is a top priority, and the extra space available in the safari park enables animals to live as natural a environment as possible. Knowsley Safari Park claims to be one of Merseyside's premier...
