Safety 1st bath seat... OK for a wriggly baby!

Advantages: Cheap, compact, allows baby to sit up straight
Disadvantages: Pointless toy, suckers not strong

...Bathing a baby can be difficult! Once they have outgrown a baby bath, then a baby bath chair.. what next? Now our son is at the crawling and standing up stage, bathing was a nightmare so our next investment was the Safety 1st Swivel Bath Seat. What is it?? The seat is blue and sturdy with suckers on the base and a coloured toy on the front. My son has never played with the toy, and in my opinion is very boring. The seat also swivels round so this is a plus for nosy babies! The seat is circular and smooth so no risk of accidents. Price This bath seat is a lot cheaper than other seats on the market aimed at 6 months +. It can be found for around £9.99, which I found to be very cheap so full marks for pricing. I got it at this price from Babies R us - which is situated inside Toys R us, or online. Advantages...

Safety comes 1st

Advantages: Excellent for mothers with bad backs
Disadvantages: young babies might slip down to the bar

...I bought this bath at teso as my baby daughter who was 5 months at the time, she had grown to wriggley for the baby bath so we decided to buy one of theses it cost a cheap £9.99 The seat is a dark blue colour with a bar in the front for the baby not to slip down and there is a max sign to show how much to fill the water up to. it has three rings at the front of the seat which are red,yellow and blue, but my daughter did not take much notice of them.The chair also swivells 360 degrees right around. As my daughter grew older and started standing up it was a little unsafe because of the hand rails at the side of the bath because she used those to pull herself up out of seat. I think they should perhaps add a safety strap but apart for that the seat is great for mothers whos babies are growing to big for the baby bath.I would...

...Bathing time was a nightmare until I found Safety 1st Deluxe Bath Cradle. Babies are extremely slippery when you are giving them a bath. I got the Safety 1st Deluxe Bath Cradle as a gift. When I first used it I couldn't believe how easily it was to bath my son!. He seemed so safe! The soft surface is just perfect for its delicate body. And you have both hands free so you can really take care about having a good time with your baby. Besides, you can also take it anywhere because it folds easily, its very light and fits in most standards diapers bags. Since I have the Safety 1st Deluxe Bath Cradle bath is a worriless experience and the best of all is that my son really enjoys bathing time....

Safety 1st swivel bath seat with toy

Advantages: Both hands free during bath time
Disadvantages: The toys is'nt much fun

...Bathing babies is hard at the best of time's but when you have an older child in the bath at the same time it can be very hard, so when i saw the safety first bath seat i thought i've got to get me one of those! Bathing is now very simple, your baby will be able to enjoy sitting up independantly on his own while playing with water and bath toys. Also thing's like getting the shampoo or the bath towel are made easier by using the Safety 1st bath seat, you are totaly hands free while using this seat. So if you are like me and have addtitional children, the Safety 1st bath seat allows you to pay a bit of attention to them, rather than them having to have a seperate bath because you are unable to care for two children in the bath at once....

Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-up Booster Seat

Advantages: Actually two products in one - fantastic value for money
Disadvantages: Bulkier than some travel booster seats but worth it!

...looked a bit gross! So, when looking for a travel seat, I decided to go for something a bit more substantial. I searched the web and my various mail order catalogues and found this one - the Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-up Booster Seat (suitable from 6 months to approx 4 years). When it arrived, I was rather dismayed as it was far larger than my friends super slim-line seat. So, I put it back in the box and thought about it for a few days. After I had calmed down (my postnatal hormones where all over the place at this point, so I really did get all stressed out by a booster seat!), I took it out and looked at it again. It is a brightly coloured plastic booster seat with a dishwasher safe removable tray. It has two height levels, so it grows with your child, and the standard three-point safety harness. Safety 1st Sounds `n Lights Activity Walker

Advantages: Durable, Practical
Disadvantages: Lowest height adjustment still too high

...I would definitely recommend this walker, for it's durability, practicality and to increase motor skills and perception for the baby The walker is great if you have wood floors or some other kind of smooth surface, but the small wheels make it hard for the baby to move it on carpet or in the grass. I love the ease of folding this walker down for storage. There are also great safety features such as the "grip strips" on the bottom. The wheels are very easily manoeuvred and the seat easily detaches so you can just throw it in the washer/dryer while wiping down with soap and water can clean the rest of the walker. The control panel comes off completely to reveal a tray, and the colours and rocket shape is a bit funky retro. The "entertainment" features are pitiful - the most exciting part being a wheel that partially turns...

...We were having trouble bathing our baby daughter in the baby bath. She was too young to sit unsupported but too long for the baby bath. It ended up with her slipping all over the place and wasnt a very nice experience for her. We decided to try her in the 'big' bath but to do that we needed some kind of device to help us. The Safety First Baby Bath Seat fitted the criteria and so we bought it. I think the price was around £9.99 which I thought was reasonable. The seat is blue and sturdy with strong suckers on the base and a coloured toy on the front that our daughter noticed once and then has since ignored so 0/10 for the toy! The seat also swivels round presumably so that the baby can reach toys but this has never been used and infact has a lock device which we have on. There are no sharp edges everything is nicely rounded...

...Until my little boy was five months old, we used a hammock style bath seat to bathe him. Once he started to sit up, however, it was time to try and find something a little safer. I looked at a number of different types of seat but, the one that seemed to keep cropping us was the "Safety 1st" bath seat. It seemed to be the ideal choice. Although it retailed for between £10 and £15, I managed to pick up a bargain by buying mine through eBay for £5. It arrived in "as new" condition and has proved to be an absolute god-send. In blue plastic, with suckers on the bottom, the seat fits securely onto the bottom of the bath. The design then allows the child to be safely seated in the water, as there is a circualr rail all the way round. The rail also incorporates three coloured "swivelling" beads, which fascinated my little one no end...

Safety First...comfort not on the list!

Advantages: Able to bath baby and toddler at same time.
Disadvantages: Uncomfortable, not supportive enough.

...The Safety First bath seat is a good idea if you are the parent of a toddler and a baby and want to bath them together. The seat itself is reminiscent of the seats you see on baby swings in the park, nothing cushioned, nothing padded, just the barest support to keep the baby upright. It is suitable from 6 months old, but until she was 9 months old, and sitting solidly, my baby girl looked decididly uncomfortable and slumped in the seat. However, the seat definately served its purpose, it meant I could wash my 2 1/2 yr old son, without having to remove her from the bath, I could play games with both of them, so neither felt left out, particularly my son would have done had I had to hold the baby the whole of bathtime. The seat swivels so that baby can move round to reach for toys, but we only have a narrow bath so this function doesn...
