Going Mobile--The Frustrations of Sagem
Advantages: cheap, small, light, PAYT
Disadvantages: odd menus, hard to text, bad customer service
...I am not the type of person who needs to have the latest technology, so I bought this phone from someone who no longer wanted it. However, she had lost the charger, and finding a new one was a nightmare. I think I went to about 25 mobile phone shops in London looking for a new charger for this phone. I went to the Sagem website, but the only charger they sold came with a leather carrying case and a contraption that enables the charger to sit on your desktop-- extra stuff I didn't want to pay for. But eventually, I had to shell out the £22 to get their over-priced packaged deal. The Sagem company wants you to buy an entire new phone if you lose the charger.
--Customer Service--
I accidentally entered the wrong expiration date on my credit card when I ordered the charger online, so I had to call the company. They put me on hold...

Say What? No Sagem
Advantages: Cheap, does what it says it can do
Disadvantages: Limited functionality
...just required the simplest and cheapest of options I chose the Sagem ITD58G from Argos at the then very reasonable price of just £26.99.
►►► What do you get in the box
Before I get onto the contents, I have to say I am quite impressed with the amount of packaging, as although it comes in the usual cardboard box with polystyrene inserts and a plastic bag around the Sagem ITD58G, they have kept the size to a minimum, cutting down on the amount of wastage. Once you have unpacked the ITD58G, a first time user maybe a little disappointed as although you get the ITD58G, a remote control (with 2 batteries) and a user guide, you do not get any other cables, such as a Scart lead or standard RF lead. Fortunately, having already had a Freeview box, I had already got the necessary leads but sympathise with anyone who purchases...

What can I say about Sagem?
Advantages: Compact, lightweight.
Disadvantages: Very hard to follow manual.
...a huge risk. We are in an area that they claim cannot receive freeview, plus the upstairs Television has an aerial in the loft. But we bought one anyway, and we bought a Sagem ITD58.
We had gone into argos planning to buy another make. Unfortunately it was out of stock. An alternative was given but it was £20 more. So I tried the Sagem which was only £10 more. To my surprise it was in stock (So why did I not get offered that!) and it was reduced to £5 less than the one we had originally chosen. We paid £35 for ours, but the next day the new catalogue came out and it had been reduced by another fiver. Grrrrrr!!!
**The Unit**
The Unit is fairly small compared to others. Measuring just 22cmsx13.5cms x3.5cms and weighing in at only 400g. It is a grey colour which will match most televisions, dvds, videos etc. The remote control is small...

Sagem who are they?
Advantages: cheap,looks good,two scart connectors
Disadvantages: remote control ,instructions
...Freeview is a free digital tv service that you recieve through your aerial which is decoded by a freeview box once you have purchased the box the service is free hence the name Freeview.
With freeview becoming more and more popular you should have no problem picking up a box for under thirty pounds.An important point to note is that you will need to check that you are in an area that can recieve digital tv broadcasts you can do this by visiting
www.freeview.co.uk (if you enter your postcode they will tell you if you can recieve digital tv broadcasts)
You will also need to check that your tv aerial is able to pickup digital tv transmissions(some older aerials are not suitable for recieving these transmissions).

Small, Stylish, Silver, Sagem Shocker!
Advantages: Lightweight, Stylish, Unique, Colour Screen, In-Built Camera With Shutter! INFUSIO Games!
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth, No Java And Does Not Have A Rotating Camera!
...lessons! ;-) This then left me with the option of marching immediately down to Bluewater, okay I didn?t march My dad gave me a lift-with my mum of course! Not at all part of my devious plan for them to get me a contract phone! Well I am not 18 so they?d have to take it out in their names but I am paying for it!
As soon as we got there approachable, friendly and honest staff met us. The man who was ?dealing with us? was so honest he told us about what faults had been reported to what phones and what would be the cheapest way to get a brilliant new phone! After going through all the options the Sagem my x-6 struck my eye! It was small (but not too small), compact (easy to fit into a bag), lightweight (not to heavy to carry in a bag) and silver (a smart and stylish colour). A major reason why I have a mobile phone is to text people...

My sagem My X-2
Advantages: cheap, durable, small, colour screen
Disadvantages: not as many features as more expensive phones, silent mode doesnt seem to work!
...I will admit I purchased this phone as a panic buy. My previous phone continually cut out, and I needed a new one, on a low budget. The cheapest one I could find at that time was the Sagem My X-2 which was on sale at Argos for £34.99.
I wasn't expecting much from the phone at that price, and I have had Sagem phones previously and although they were functional, were not always top of the range, so I wasn't exactly confident, but seeing as I needed a phone (how did we ever live without them?!), and this was the only one in my price range(it must have been rent week) I decided to go for it.
Appearance
The phone is metallic blue and silver in colour - see picture, with a colour screen, this is the first phone Ive had with a colour screen, and the resolution is fairly good, although not as good as some of the camera phones. Its fairly...

My Supermarket Mobile
Advantages: Cheap, easy to get started, good coverage, clubcard points
Disadvantages: None so far
...So here we go again another review brought about by the fact I had to move to keep my job (long story and will be covered when I write the review of my employers when and if Ciao list them). Sadly for Orange their network doesn't cover Lydd camp - just the area outside it but no signal penerates the camp fence oddly enough.
So while on my hunt for a working network I checked the O2 website and found they claim to have full coverage across the camp, not long after this I remembered the handset and SIM I was given by the nightclub I used to work for but was on Tesco mobile. Dont worry I've not lost it, Tesco mobile and O2 are pretty much the same thing because Tesco buy the 'spare' satellite time from O2 to operate their network. Which means that while the Tesco sell the SIM's and the handsets its O2 that owns and operates...

It's not MY Sagem, it's his
Advantages: Camera phone | Loud and clear when in use
Disadvantages: Looks tacky | Locked to network
...A couple of months before Christmas, while browsing several ?bargain? forums, I came across what for me was a deal not to be missed. Basically Woolworths had made a pricing error and for a very short period were advertising the Sagem MYX-7 for £29.99 and even throwing a free CD micro system in. Now who am I to refuse an offer like that, so I toddled off to their site, placed my order then sat with my fingers crossed for the next week, while they decided whether or not they were going to honour the order.
Lucky for us, we eventually got an e-mail confirming that they were going to send us the phone for that very special price, so we waited for the deliveryman to knock on the door with my husband's brand new phone.
On opening the box the phone came in we discovered the following :
The actual mobile phone
Two Snap on covers...

Tesco are now Mobile...
Advantages: Reasonable cost and a straightforward range of tariffs
Disadvantages: Some underlying network problems
...Want to buy your mobile while picking up your beans? Why not go one better and have the supermarket BE the mobile network with Tesco Mobile (well almost? see below!).
When did Tesco build a mobile network?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The answer, of course, is that they didn't. The Tesco Mobile network is a 'virtual' network, similar to Virgin Mobile, in this case being carried on the O2 network. It is a joint venture between Tesco and O2. Why do these virtual networks exist? On the (physical) network operator's side they use up spare capacity while someone else picks up the marketing bill. On the (virtual) network operator's side they gain the ability to offer mobile telephony services without the need to spend (many) millions and years building a network. Here O2 effectively get access to Tesco's undoubted marketing ability...
Bob's mobile
Advantages: learns numbers
Disadvantages: noisy
...Hello!
My son has been great fan of bob the builder for quiet sometime. But as time goes - he is 6 now- he grow up from some of his baby toys. And just few days ago I have cleared his bedroom from his old and baby toys. And there was quiet some of them and in good condition so I thought that I will take them to the charity shop.
But as I was packing them his younger sister was sort of helping me. As I was putting the toys in the bag she was taking them out. And she has find bob mobile phone and started to play with it. So I can say that I have clear my boy bedroom to his sister bedroom. And I just clean it up with only few toys going to the charity shop.
Since them my little girl is waking the phone and saying: ?bob on the phone?.
I do like vetch toys but my kids love them.
