Perfect pastry, without the mess
Advantages: Great pastry, inexpensive, comfortable to use
Disadvantages: Only really good for blending fat into flour
...I like pies.
Whether chicken pies (using leftovers from a roast), lemon meringue pies for a special occasion (using fresh locally grown lemons from Cyprus), or mince pies (with home-made mincemeat) during December, there?s something special about pastry above or around a filling.
However, making pastry was a chore.
