Advantages: Back light, very well built, great for gaming, great for office use, erganomic, durable.
Disadvantages: back light not quite bright enough - but still impressive

Review of Saitek Eclipse Backlit Keyboard

Total eclipse!

Advantages: Good size of keys, nice design
Disadvantages: cant fault it.

...I brought the Saitek Eclipse II keyboard from PC world for around £25 last year and so far so good! The buttons are a really good size for everyone from the ''sausage finger'' to dainty fingered people. There is a clicking sound but it is not that loud and the buttons do not stick either which is a problem i have encountered with a few keyboards. The keyboard has a sleek and stylish black and silver design and the keys have a back light in which the colour can be changed (from blue, red, purple,) and also you can adjust the brightness of the light to suit. The angle of the keyboard can be adjusted and there is also a removable wrist rest. there are buttons for music players but not for other things as seen on some keyboards (e.g. sleep and open internet browser) but its OK as it makes the keyboard less cluttered. Advantages: Withstands collision excellently - I aslo give you some free safety hints here !!
Disadvantages: Price is high for those with little cash to spend

...I decided to do a wee review on this car safety seat - the Brittax Eclipse. This seat performs fabulously well in my opinion so read on and find out just why I have so much faith in Brittax and the Eclipse in particular............ WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE AND WHAT FEATURES DOES IT HAVE ? This seat is one huge beast as far as its dimensions go !! its around 80 cm high and around 40 wide. It doesnt sound too bad on paper so to speak but trust me when you get it into your car its big !! The seat itself must have been on the red bull as it certainly has a whopping pair of wings on either side of it. Ideal for when your child falls asleep. Eclipsed and spotty

Advantages: Cover can be washed, trusted manufacturer
Disadvantages: Cover is fiddly to remove, can't be tumbled

...I bought a Britax Eclipse seat for my daughter when she was about 9 1/2 months and had reached the all important weight of 9kg to move into a forward facing seat. She is still using this seat and is now 2 1/2 years old. First important safety fact of this opinion, for this seat your child must weigh 9-18kg/20-40lb (approx. 9 months - 4 years) When it comes to safety theres no messing with me I want a well known manufacturer thats tried, tested and trusted, with Britax you get that. Although the factors that influenced my buying at the time were known safety record, an ability to fit most makes and models of cars as the seat needed to be transferable between my car, hubby's ever changing company car and Grandma's car. I was also swayed by the limited edition spooty dalmation fabric cover that can be removed and washed by hand...

Eclipsed by a bloodsucker!

Advantages: Just as entertaining as the other books, more action in this one!
Disadvantages: Bella is REALLY irritating - is she really only 18?!

...Eclipse picks up where New Moon left off; Bella has had to cool off her friendship with Jacob on Jacobs request - the relationship between Jacob and Edward is strained so the opening section of Eclipse is Jacobs attempt to tell Bella to stay away. There are big threats for the luckless Bella around the corner which will require the joint strengths of both Edwards Vampire family and Jacobs friends (we shall leave it there in case I accidentally reveal plot spoilers for anyone who hasn't yet read New Moon and intends to!). Advantages: backlit keys, heavy non slip base, simple controls (no silly extra's)
Disadvantages: No sleep button.

...So.. how do you write a review on a keyboard? Obvious puns aside, I'll try. I was looking for a backlit keyboard for my work years ago, but all the ones I seen then where indeed lit from behind, but the light did not shine through the letters (unlike the Saitek) and all you could see at night was shadows of keys, and the others had such a bright light it nearly blinded you. Anyway I spotted this one on eBay one night, and after one can of beer too many I took the plunge and bought it. When it arrived, straight away I noticed how heavy the box was (usually a good sign) and as it's a USB board I simply plugged it in and waited for windows to "see" it. 30 seconds later all done and ready to go. First impressions, well the silver keys make it easy to type in low light conditions even without the backlight (other makers take note...

Look Daddy, my keyboard lights up!

Advantages: Quiet keys, it lights up!!!! - choice of colours, media controls, doesn't hurt your fingers.
Disadvantages: Blue colour isn't all that bright, keys starting to lose lettering, medicore build quality

...setting (my favirote) isn't that bright in comparison to red and pink, which is another slight letdown. It's a shame there are no internet controls, such as one of those "open internet explorer/check your email/open my documents" buttons, but on the other hand I guess that would require a larger keyboard and then it wouldn't have fit under my desk! I previously own a Saitek Eclise 1 before this and experienced the same issues with the lettering on the keyboard so perhaps that's either an issue with Saitek themselves, or maybe it's just an issue with my fingers! Anyway, I digress. For the price of about £38, which is what I paid from Maplin back then, I can't really complain as it is just a very user friendly keyboard. Build quality is only average but for the price that's perhaps to be expected. I'll be buying a Saitek Eclipse 3...
