...I brought my set of tannoys 15 months ago and, at the time,they cost £300.Now,with a little searching around,they can be obtained for under £200. What you get in the box is five satellite speakers(two front,two rear and a centre speaker) plus a seperate powered subwoofer. You also get wall mounted supports for the two front and two rear speakers and all the speaker cables(i changed the cables to 79 stand q.e.d. speaker cable to improve the sound). Setting up the system is relatively easy:you just need an electric drill for the the wall mounted stands and once fitted,you just connect the cables to your home cinema amp. Easy!! Once you have connected everything,it is time to try out the system. My first reaction and i am sure yours will be the same was one of complete disbelief!! Samsung HT-Q20 Home Cinema System

...Having finally said goodbye to an old DVD player and separate CD and radio player, we decided to opt for the home cinema system from Samsung. Having already recently purchased a Samsung TV which we were very pleased with the value for money of the Samsung Home Cinema TZ215 tempted us to carry on with the brand. I hate to admit that in my opinion I am disappointed in the 'home cinema' aspect in that I expected more and now having read the other reviews wonder if I actually connected it up properly, but we have checked everything and all seems ok. Firstly, with four tall speakers dotted correctly around the room and set up as per the instruction manual for distance etc, I was disappointed in that the four all do not work at the same time. ...up to A1/A2 size, I would not notice the difference compared to a cheaper model with slightly less megapixels. Thus, I was directed towards the 10MP Samsung ES55. I had wanted something with excellent picture quality that I could use in low light conditions, taking pictures in clubs and indoors. I would also use the camera to take pictures for my business. ...I have done quite well recently with good deals from mates and this purchase has to be one of my best, it really has transformed my home cinema experience. From watching films on DVD to daily TV through my Freeview box it has enriched the whole feeling while watching and listening to my TV. One of my mates from the football team I play for works at COMET and he knew I was on the look out for an all in one DVD player and surround system, so when this model came back as a return he gave me a ring. One of the surround speakers has a scratch on the side so it had been returned, and after my mate having a chat with his manager we agreed on a price of £85. Extremely happy ? Don't Tust the 5.1 on this system

Advantages: Easy setup, simple controls
Disadvantages: Very low output volume on 5.1 setup, completely unbalanced audio

...The speaker look very nice but looks mean very little on a speaker system. The system is relatively easy to setup with the usual 3 jack plugs used on most PC analogue 5.1 surround sound systems. You have the usual routing of the five speaker cables to take care of which plug into the rear of the control unit. The rear speakers have plenty of cable length to use when positioning the where desired. There is also a large, unique lead that connects the sub to the control unit which is also easily attached. The system comes with a rather bulky power supply that could have been neatly tucked away in the sub box, therefore only requiring a figure 8 power cable to do the powering up side of things but this is, after all, a budget system. Creative Inspire 5.1 sound system

Advantages: Quality sound for a low price
Disadvantages: Short rear speaker cables

...are too short, you can buy extension leads but it would have be nice if Creative just made them only a meter or two longer, this is a common problem in all surround systems I've encountered, everything else is perfect. A sound card or onboard audio with 5.1 sound option is required to take full advantage of the system but thats becoming a standard now on most devices. I use my PC for everything from movies, music, and games and I'm completely satisfied and have been for the past three years, when or if they break down then I'll upgrade. The system can be bought for about £35, they seem pretty rare now, looks like they've been replaced by newer versions. Best bet is to keep an eye out for them on ebay....
