Advantages: Nice handset, especially in Vader black, loaded with everything currently available
Disadvantages: A little too big(?), incompatiable with BMW bluetooth car kit, charging cap / cover

...music etc will eat away the battery life, but if used sensibly you could achieve a standby time of over a week and actual useful talktime of several hours. Charging time - takes next to no time for a full charge. Build quality of the phone is excellent, nice smooth sliding mechanism, solid build, only problem I had with the phone was the plastic cap for the charging plug, it has a nice sliding cap for the "add on" speaker why not for the charging point on the base of the phone - *doh*. Just a word of note, the phone is a pain with the OEM BMW bluetooth car kit, it refuses to transfer the phone book and fails to "ring" - an issue I think is more with the BMW car kit then the phone. Unfortunately this was the primary reason I needed the phone, as a result my lucky sister has inherited my sim free D500, with me landing a old (yet BMW...

All in all, the D500 is a good phone, that boasts a lot of features all of which are squished into a small and compact device. The build quality has proved to be excellent, and I have received no problems from using it what so ever. The battery life is long enough that you can make numerous, lengthy phones calls and leave it on for long periods of time and not have to keep recharging it every other day. The signal quality is always well above average (although this obviously would depend on location and network), and the features allows the phone to become more than just a phone (mp3 player, organiser, alarm clock, calculator etc etc). I don't know if I would actually get another D500 if I were to loose...

Snap Happy Samsung!

Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!

Samsung D500 a MUST have!!

Advantages: Small, elegant, smart and cool!
Disadvantages: none really apart form battery life is a bit of a pain

...bill. The battery life is a bit shorter than a nokia but I constantly remind myself to put my mobile on charge every night so I don't get caught short on my battery running out. Sometimes you have to be careful when phone in your bag/pocket, as it has answered a phone call before I have got to it where I have pulled it out of my bag quickly. I soon resolved this by taking off any key answer, you have to actually press the answer key now to answer it. This solved my problem anyway! ...The Samsung D500 is a reliable phone which does everything a standard phone should do. The camera is quite decent but the pictures can look dull. It has a great memory and holds well over 100 messages and loads of photos. When writing a message you have the predictive text function and the ability to send the same text to multiple people. My one issue with the text messaging is on the send options if you choose to send only and not save if the the message fails you have to retype it out again. There is a clear memory status so you know how much space you have left. From my experience the battery lasts a good three days without having to be charged up depending on use. Samsung D500, for better or for worse?

Advantages: Small, Easy to use and great looking.
Disadvantages: Unable to get carry case for this phone, and it can scratch easily

...I find the Samsung D500 to be a great little phone, they can easily be slipped into a pocket or handbag, and have some great features. If i were to get another phone, i think without a doubt the Samsung D500 would be at the top of my choice list.
