Samsung A800 - a great little phone

Advantages: Cheap, light, stylish
Disadvantages: Not a nokia!

...(updated 17.12.2003) I have recently purchased myself a great little new phone - a Samsung A800. As a previous owner of a Nokia 3210 I was desperate for a new, light and trendy phone! I am very much a nokia fan, but I desperately wanted a flip phone which was small and light so settled on the Samsung A800. A nifty little phone - Samsung A800

...I first made the decision to purchase the Samsung A800 out of pure necessity for a phone. I had always gone for cheaper brands of mobile phone such as old, heavy Nokia models but as they always ended up breaking after about a year I decided to go for a more stylish model. I brought the Samsung A800 after it had been on the market for a good few years and so the price was substantially less than when it was the latest model. Indeed, at £113 on Virgin's pay as you go network, I felt the phone was quite a bargain. I found the phone very easy to 'learn' in terms of navigation around its various functions. My views of the Samsung A800

Advantages: Small, sleek, stylish

...These are my personal views regarding the Samsung A800. This phone was my fourth mobile before I purchased the new E 700-the newer version to this phone. The two phones run virtually the same, just a few little differences in the way things are displayed. The Samsung A800 was the best phone I had the pleasure of having until I got the newer version. I had no problems with it whatsoever-never scratched (unlike the new phone) and signal quality was brilliant. ...The time has come my A800 took its final texts and calls today as its being replaced by a new samsung e700. So i thought what is the best way to send my phone off to phone heaven than to give it its own review. The A800 is one of the smallest phones around and fits in the palm of your hand. Its snappy silver exterior makes it very appealing to the eye one of the main reasons that i purchased it. Upon opening the phone you come across a blue screen and for a small phone quite a well spaced key pad. Snap Happy Samsung!

Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!

...up to A1/A2 size, I would not notice the difference compared to a cheaper model with slightly less megapixels. Thus, I was directed towards the 10MP Samsung ES55. I had wanted something with excellent picture quality that I could use in low light conditions, taking pictures in clubs and indoors. I would also use the camera to take pictures for my business. But, more poignantly, I needed something cheap! I'm pretty broke and I had expected to fork out quite a lot for a quality camera to meet my requirements. I'm also quite interested in art, so as a hobby, had intended on taking up a bit of photography. When buying a camera, it would be helpful to make a list of your primary needs and budget and see what falls into your category. I was told this would be the Samsung. ...the direction of certain phones, he had obviously forgotten that I had asked for advice! I can actually read the displays: I was after a phone that was comparable to the S100 or so ? I wasn?t too interested in a colour screen or the ability to upload photos from the computer etc. The young lad pointed me towards the Nokia?s and said everyone normally got those! I thanked him for his assistance then went to look at the upgrade phones for myself. What caught my eye was the Samsung SGH-A800! And already a happy Samsung owner I looked at it properly. It is about 1/3 smaller than the S100 quite sexy looking with a flashy thing on the front! And its silver OO! Looks good! When you open the flip top you have a nice black and white screen, the buttons are quite small (So no good if you have huge hands) the layout is exactly the same as the S100...

Sexy Samsung SPH-A800

I still very much like my SGH-D600 but have tried this out to see what it is like so here i'm going to tell you a bit about it and my experience with it. This sleek and sophisticated mobile phone comes fully loadad with all the great features out phones have nowadays. I would say that the colour is more of a lilacy / purple colour rather that the pink that some may call it, in which case I'd say that its more for the ladies. Sorry Guys. Take those all important pictures with its 1.0 migapixel camers and sent them to your friends friends and family via e-mail or directly from your phone, as long As the other person can recieve picture messages you will have no problem getting your picture across. Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
