Samsung CLP 300 - not worth buying

Advantages: Small laser printer
Disadvantages: Unreliable

...I always had and ink jet printer. But at work I used laser printers and I loved them. Unfortunately they have been far too big for home use. I am not sure why but I always have been convinced that a laser printer is somehow better- the speed, the quality, just everything. How wrong I was!!! A couple of months ago I saw the Samsung CLP-300 on a website and it looked brilliant. Well, everything looks brilliant if someone wants to sell it. Anyhow, for me it looked good enough. But I did not want to pay £150 for a new printer. So, I had a look in ebay. And there it was my Samsung CLP-300 for £100. Well, I bid on and got it for £112 in the end. The CLP-300 claims to be the world's smallest and lightest colour laser printer. Well, at least at that time. It?s measurements are 390 x 344 x 265 mm, which is pretty small for a laser...

Snap Happy Samsung!

Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!

...I bought this camera in ASDA at the incredible price of £75 in a gorgeous chrome silver colour (pictured). Samsung but smaller

Advantages: Very compact and lightweight, excellent value for money, great design with brilliant screen
Disadvantages: No dvd drive but this is to save on weight and you can pick up an external one for reasonable

Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

...After my white Asus Eee PC 1000H got stolen, I decided to replace it with a black Samsung NC10. The Asus and this Samsung are what is known as a netbook. Colour That Doesnt Run

Advantages: Good Price, Small Package
Disadvantages: Small paper tray and no manual feed

Samsung NC10 Review

Advantages: Good battery life, nice screen, near enough a full size keyboard
Disadvantages: small-ish trackpad

...I recieved this netbook for christmas and all i can say is 'wow'! My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop. Therefore i was a little dubious about some of the things such as keyboard size, processing power and battery life. I was looking for a laptop which is very small in physical size while packing a punch so it could still carry out multiple tasks. Buying a full size (15.4") laptop seemed a bit pointlesss as i have two tower pc's which are my main machines, so this was just to be about casual surfing/ reading emails/ browsing while on the move. Samsung hits the netbook world for 6

Advantages: sturdy, reliable, quite nippy for a netbook, relativley cheap
Disadvantages: sound, no ssd option, still can't beat the aspire one

...With the netbook market already saturated to the point of that resembling a cat's fur when thrown into a bath (with almost as much fur flying between the competitors), it would seem that we don't need yet another standard netbook joining the ranks. However the samsung NC10 has proven to be a great addition to the market, and managed to undercut nearly all of their major competitors, even if it can't beat the acer aspire one. The NC10 is the usual netbook affair with regards to specs, it is fitted with the defacto standard intel atom, 160GB HDD and 1GB memory, this provides decent performance for all your web application needs and some circa 1999 gaming (no-one buys one for gaming anyway, but you've always got to at least try). a little black box of tricks

Advantages: Good price, quiet and a laser color printer that actually looks good

...After my inkjet printer decided to break i decided to buy a laser printer. I looked around for a long time and i needed to find one that can do its job at a reasonable price. I came to the conclusion that this little black box is the ideal one for me, it is compact, prints color, economical, good black and white print, quiet and at a reasonable price. After about five months of moderate use the printer still works fine with very little problems. From a students' perspective this printer fits the bill for the reasons mentioned before and more crucially, unlike other laser printers, this one actually looks COOL.
