Samsung CLP 300 - not worth buying
Advantages: Small laser printer
Disadvantages: Unreliable
...I always had and ink jet printer. But at work I used laser printers and I loved them. Unfortunately they have been far too big for home use. I am not sure why but I always have been convinced that a laser printer is somehow better- the speed, the quality, just everything. How wrong I was!!!
A couple of months ago I saw the Samsung CLP-300 on a website and it looked brilliant. Well, everything looks brilliant if someone wants to sell it. Anyhow, for me it looked good enough. But I did not want to pay £150 for a new printer. So, I had a look in ebay. And there it was my Samsung CLP-300 for £100. Well, I bid on and got it for £112 in the end.
The CLP-300 claims to be the world's smallest and lightest colour laser printer. Well, at least at that time. It?s measurements are 390 x 344 x 265 mm, which is pretty small for a laser...

Colour That Doesnt Run
Advantages: Good Price, Small Package
Disadvantages: Small paper tray and no manual feed
...I have had a colour ink jet printer for years, and this has serviced me well, however I always used to get annoyed with the smudging that can occur whilst the ink is drying. Also when using a printed envelope the address would run if it was raining when the postman was delivering or on the way to the post box.
I had always wanted a colour laser printer but they had always been put off by the price of the printers and the ongoing cost of consumables. However I was in my local PC World one weekend and spotted the Samsung CLP-300 for what I considered a reasonable price £150, so I picked one up.
-----------The Specification-----------
The CLP-300 claims to be the world's smallest and lightest colour laser printer! I am not sure if this claim is correct but the printer does come in a small package measuring in at 390 x 344 x 265...

I say yes
Advantages: Speed, cost and quality
Disadvantages: Nothing I can think off at the moment
...This is a great printer. Beware that there are two types: The CLP 300 and the CLP 300N. The 300N is for networking. This means you can print to this printer from more than one PC if you have more than one PC in your house or office. For home use it is a waste of money because I do not print that often to justify networking.
The quality is great and really amazing and the speed is mind blowing. If you need REAL photo quality printing, this is not for you because on closer inspection you will notice defects - Especially if you are a photo printing connoisseur. There is only one button - The on-off button, nothing else! Easy to use for the "not so computer literate", but could be disappointing for those who likes to tinker a bit.
I also own an inkjet photo printer which is great when it comes to quality. The advantage of the laser...

Samsung CLX2160 colour laser printer
Advantages: easy to use, low cost, cheap to run.
Disadvantages: none
...After purchasing a Samsung ML-1610 black laser printer for £50 a couple of years ago, we decided that as soon as the colour laser printers came down in price, we would get one of those.
We also wanted a multi-function printer, to replace the multi-function inkjet printer that we had. If it could have a fax as well, then all well and good.
After keeping an eye on prices for a while, I was searching one day and came across the Samsung CLX-2160 multi-function colour laser printer.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Well, it is a copier, printer, scanner. It prints in black and colour. It prints up to 16 pages per minute in black and up to 4 ppm in colour.
The copying peed is up to 16 ppm in black and up to 4 ppm in colour.
Described as "The world's smallest color multifunctional printer". It is ideal for small office or home office use...

Pleasantly Surprised
Advantages: Price, Simple change of toners
Disadvantages: Relatively slow print speeds, Toner costs
...Normally I am not the greatest Samsung fan after my little episode with its <a href="http://www.ciao.co.uk/SamsungP10XTD1600FingerprintReview5680459">P10 laptop</a>, but here is my story for this.
Being a graphic design student, I needed a printer that would print out designs on just about any sort of paper quickly and beautifully. I'm glad that CLP-300 didn't disappoint me...not yet anyway.
Being the world's smallest colour laser printer, and winning the reddot design award in 2006, I really had hoped for something not to disappoint.
Initially, it was definitely the price that caught my attention to this printer; as cheap as around £130 or so and you can already get CLP-300, this machine looks very simple and built from ground to make this printer so low-cost. Not to mention other attractions such as OSX-compatibility (woohoo...

Good colour laser for those on a budget
Advantages: Reasonable cost cartridges available. Good quality
Disadvantages: Large. No network adapter.
...I have owned this printer for a few months now and I am very happy with it. I wouldn't normally recommend HP since other brands are often cheaper. Often, they are identical models too, Canon have made a lot of printers for HP in the past.
This time was different, the HP was the cheapest colour laser I could find where the cartridge prices were also reasonable.
Being a laser printer, these do take drums as well as toner cartridges. All laser printers do, but the cartridges for this one come together with the drum. This means to the end user, you only need to change 4 toner cartridges, one for each colour of black, cyan, magenta and yellow.
They are the standard four colours but you need to be careful when ordering replacements. Normally, manufacturers list the cartridges in the following order: black, cyan, magenta, yellow. The part...

Snap Happy Samsung!
Advantages: Great camera at a great price.
Disadvantages: None at the price, you get a great item for what you pay!
...I bought this camera in ASDA at the incredible price of £75 in a gorgeous chrome silver colour (pictured). I am probably one of the most indecisive shoppers around, so when it came to buying a digital camera, I was thoroughly confused by the choice and newly released technology, meaning every week a new camera with more mega pixels and better zoom and a toaster built in was released! This certainly does not making chosing easy!
Well, thanks to the advice of the very helpful assistant in ASDA, I was able to finally decide on the Samsung ES55 and have no regrets! Ok, so how do you chose the right camera for you? It's all about accepting there is SO much variety but making sure you know what you want, that way you can really trim down the choice. Also, pick a reliable brand and as I have been informed, Samsung are one of the best. I had...

HP Colour LaserJet For Your Office
Advantages: Print Quality
Disadvantages: The Device Can Be Noisy When Waking Up
...its price might vary at different places and times. HP's CP3505x used to cost 800 pounds plus VAT when it was launched. Now its price has come down significantly. Even on HP's website, it costs 499 pounds + VAT which is too less as compared to the initial price. If your budget isn't too high, then you can probably try the other from CP3505 models which are priced cheaply. The price for these printers start from 199 pounds + VAT.
The CP3505x is an excellent printer because of its great print quality. The text quality is superb even on plain paper. In addition to this, it also has a duplexer, two paper trays and also a networking support. This color laser printer definitely stands out in comparison to other printers in the market. Its ideal for small offices....

Samsung's Neat Little Netbook
Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad
...After my white Asus Eee PC 1000H got stolen, I decided to replace it with a black Samsung NC10. The Asus and this Samsung are what is known as a netbook. It?s sort of a small, low cost laptop to let you surf the net, while you?re out and about. I bought it off Dixons.co.uk for £322 in December 2009 (had a 5% off coupon) but it?s going for around £310 at the moment in most places.
CHOICES
The NC10 is Samsung's first stab at the netbook market and they?ve done a blinding job of it. I believe it even won an award for it. The NC10 comes in three flavours, those being black, blue and white. I chose the black as it looks prettier. The white one also looks great but I figured that it would start to pick up dirt and go a bit black, especially the keyboard and touchpad. The white version has a matte lid so doesn't pick up...
